Version 0.6.14 (Hero Pack #5) has officially left the beta branch, and is now in the stable branch! Thanks to everyone who downloaded the beta release and provided feedback! You do not need to unsubscribe from the beta branch if you are currently using it, as both beta and stable branches have been updated.

The next major update we are are working toward is Act 6 and the final Hero Pack, #6.



The following changelog outlines the details of changes from the previous stable version 0.6.10 to this release, 0.6.14. Updates added since the last beta release, 0.6.13b are noted as (new).

Changelog for version 0.6.14
  • Three new heroes added via wanderer missions after completing act 2, 3, and 4, or in Singularity mode after unlocking them
  • Added "Favorite Parties" feature on party selection for Chronicle mode (selected loadout ids are also saved)
  • Added enemy type selection option for Chronicle Mode training room, later enemy types are locked by reaching the appropriate act (new)
  • Added more sort settings to party select that allows filtering by Tank/DPS/Support archetypes

  • Changed Hypnotic Presence passive (Siren, Diva, Charmer) to apply sleep at start of enemy turn instead of end, to help give it a niche to preempt turns
  • Shredder Saw boss relic now also automatically casts Spinning Blade for free at turn start
  • EXTREME Energy relic changed to only affect sleep damage, but at 90% reduction, with a small speed bonus
  • Service Kevlar relic effect no longer applies to non-HP damage

  • Updated auto-battle AI for Inscriber Claire to only use Analyze once, and skip the status menu activation

This beta branch patch addresses some bug reports and balance feedback, and adds a few more requested features. This is likely to be the last beta branch patch before we bring this build to the stable branch.

Build version 0.6.11b, Hero Pack 5, is now available on the Beta Branch. This update contains 3 new wanderer heroes for you to find, some new enemies, new QoL features, and some bugfixes and balance adjustments.

How do I download the Beta Branch?
Opting into a Beta branch is easy on Steam. Simply right click Time Break Chronicles in your Library, select Properties, and then click "Betas." From there you can select the Beta branch from the dropdown, and Steam will download the files for you. You do not need to enter a beta access code.

There will be another beta build or two to iron out any reported issues relating to the new content and deal with some outstanding bug reports still unresolved, after which this build will go to the main stable branch.

We've also still got 3 more heroes in various states of completeness, which will either be added with a Hero Pack 6 release or we might just include them with the upcoming Act 6 release, depending on timing of finishing both projects.

This is a maintenance patch addressing some player bug reports from version 0.6.9.

I would also like to post a little update about the upcoming Hero Pack release! I've got some of the heroes finished up or close to it, so the next release will be those heroes with a couple other features, unless there's some other bugs to address in the meantime.

For the last couple of heroes, I'd like to offer the opportunity for players to suggest any archetypes or themes they might like to see, assuming we haven't touched on them already. Feel free to post in the comments here, or chat about any ideas in our Discord at https://discord.gg/m9MAfrP !

New Content and Major Updates from 0.5.20
  • Act 5 added with 15 new heroes, new enemies, bosses, relics, and more
  • New heroes can be unlocked in Singularity mode as usual
  • Restructured map generation for Singularity mode to progress more logically and have the harder, later act enemies added in sequential sections instead of all mixed together
  • Damage blocked by shield type effects now shows up in battle as a grey number with a shield icon, improving feedback for damage dealt vs missed/dodged
  • Added an "unbind" option for infinite relics in Chronicle mode. A hero's intrinsic relics and non-infinite relics cannot be unbound.

This beta branch patch brings the new enemy content into Singularity mode and reorganizes how singularity maps are laid out. The new map separates content from each region into sections, creating a better feeling of progression and cohesiveness.

The patch also addresses some additional bug reports and balance feedback, and adds a few new enemies into the act 5 fray.
