With our first two modding challenges, summer also came to an end. The days now are getting shorter and a chill (unrelated to the Wild Hunt) can be felt in the air. In this final challenge, we’d like you to show us how fall can transform the Continent. Maybe trees across Toussaint turn red and lose their leaves, or residents of Velen redecorate their homes for the upcoming Saovine… Or maybe you can conjure something up that we couldn’t even dream of!

Speaking of moving — in this challenge, you will become the NPC puppeteer. We task you with creating a new animation for any character besides Geralt. It could be a cool pose that goes with Photo Mode, an entire choreographed dance routine, or anything in between.

We invite you to craft a completely new questline made of 2-3 interconnected quests! Here’s your chance to tell your own tale and forge an adventure of your own making — whatever that might be! For each submission, we’ll be looking for creativity, originality, and technical excellence to shine through.

If the main task isn't up your alley or if you need a warmup, you can also take part in smaller Modding Challenges along the way! • entries in challenges need to be submitted within specific deadlines, as communicated in respective challenge announcements;

Modding Challenges will be judged by CD PROJEKT RED and Yigsoft team members. For the Main Category, a shortlist of submissions will be made by CD PROJEKT RED and Yigsoft judges, while the final result will be decided by a community vote.

We have just released a hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

It fixes the issue where turning on HairWorks on DirectX 11 crashed the game after loading a save.

It also adds some new capabilities for modding scripts: the script compiler now supports a number of annotations. Their main purpose is to add/modify functionality in existing game functions and classes without merging script files.

• Enabled Steam Workshop.
  Manage your mods with ease on Steam! We’ve integrated the Steam Workshop support into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While Steam users can still use Nexus Mods or whatever modding platform they like, they now can install any mod available on the game's Steam Workshop with a single click. Just find the mod you like, click “Subscribe” and it will install automatically!
• Added Steam Workshop support for DLC mods (mods that include completely new content).
  
• Added support for an easier way to add new world IDs in mods.
  
• Added full support for loading DLC mods - fixed an issue that occurred when loading additional content from mods.
