Today we’re launching this new devlog series with two bits of news: we’ve confirmed Tokyo Game Show 2025 and reached 10,000 wishlists. Thank you for the love — it powers the final push on the demo. ✨


New
  • 🎟️ TGS 2025 confirmed: we’ll bring a new playable demo, have a booth, and give away stickers and shirts.

  • 💖 10k wishlists: thank you all! Next community goal: 15k.

  • 🗓️ Devlog kickoff: weekly progress posts (art, 3D, UI/UX, animation/VFX).

Roadmap
  • Pre‑TGS weeks: we’ll show new models, dioramas, and fresh features.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where having an old run save file could cause crashes after an update;
  • Fixed an issue where objects couldn't be picked up after their carrier had been knocked down;
  • Optimized the follower swarming mechanics when dealing with large amounts of followers;
  • Fixed a symbol recognition issue that sometimes caused a delay in the recognizing of a drawn symbol;
  • Fixed an issue that would cause followers and ennemies to run into walls;
  • Fixed an issue where thrown followers would keep going after hitting their target;
  • Fixed an issue in menus that caused some icons not to display at all;
  • Adjusted Hubryus' utility building's VFX;
  • Adjusted a visual issue with Blood Combustion's aura;
  • Added some missing particle systems for rituals;

Changes and Balancing
  • Knife cursor now hides itself when entering gameplay.
  • Adjusted the Folhorror (summon from Hubryus building)'s stats with the following:
    • Max health lowered;
    • Damage reduced.

Bugs we are actively working on
  • Working on a bug where some objects can't be picked up;
  • We are looking to fix an issue causing some UI elements to not appear when pressing ESC/Start during loading;
  • We are looking at improving loading times in general;
  • We are looking at a couple of more minor annoying bugs in the singleplayer experience.
  • We are looking into a potential memory leak when leaving the game open for several hours.


To be added to Worship's roadmap

This new section will now list features and improvements that we are adding to our roadmap planning following player feedback and/or issues that the team judged worth tackling. Keep on telling us how you feel about the game and we'll do our best to focus on what the community is asking for!

  • (Community feedback) We heard the feedback regarding the save system and permadeath. We are looking at both short term and long terms improvements to address your issues in that regard.
  • (Community feedback) We are looking at improvements for the symbol recognition, but these might have to wait for the bigger updates planned in the roadmap.
  • (Community feedback) We will look at how we can add more gameplay differences and impact tied to the choice of god to Worship
  • (Community feedback) More resolutions and aspect ratio support

Vital Shell Playtest - MarvinWizard
This one brings in a wipe, apologies for the reset progress! But with that there are some massive updates and changes.
  • Dodge no longer influences chance to dodge attacks and now reduces the cooldown of boosting
  • Green gems no longer provide range and now provide Potency
  • White gems now provide Lifesteal
  • Weapons now indicate how they benefit from Potency
  • Koenig restores health when blocking & their Sword gains double attack chance from potency
  • The resonance effect from majority white gems, Purification, now restores health and deals physical damage
  • The resonance effect from majority green gems, Transfixion, now periodically releases a physical attack that pierces and knocks enemies back
  • The resonance effect from combining two red and two black gems, Fusion, now triggers an explosion that scales in damage with the number of enemies caught in the effect
  • The shockwave Special has been removed
  • A new special, Barrage, has been added

Hey everyone, this is Benji from the GUN JUMPERS. Thank you so much for support the last couple weeks, it’s been so wonderful to see everyone enjoying the game. I made a piece of LUNR and Eclipse as a thanks, you can take a look at it at the end of the post.

We’ve been listening to all of your feedback and reviews of the game, and we have an update for you! Some of our team has been working really hard to make the game run better for everyone, and to fix all of the bugs that have been reported in both the forums and the discord. The game has been optimized a ton, so if you were having performance issues before that made it difficult for you to enjoy the game, give it another shot! Glitch form has also had a lot of fixes to it, so I’d recommend trying that out as well! The patch notes are listed below.

I’ve also been asked if there was a place where people could buy merch for the game, so I made a merch store! If you like my art and would like to support me, or if you just like some of the characters from the game, feel free to check it out! I’m still in the process of uploading some stuff there, so if there’s anything in particular you’d be interested in, like stickers of a certain form or something, feel free to let me know in the comments.

PATCH NOTES: 1.3.2: The Performance and Debug Patch

Huge FPS gains across the board

New Features: Particle Density slider to control how noisy certain problematic visuals are Various visuals tweaked Death animation and shopkeeper animation implemented.

Specific bugs fixed: Hitless no longer has heals or hp ups available in the shop.
Mod slots are no longer "cancellable" by pressing escape too quickly.
The next Mod slot to add to is remembered through save and load.
Backup drive no longer can give infinite lives.
Save and load no longer heals players.
Enemies are much less likely to spawn outside of the map.
More checks to keep the player in bounds.
Various crashes fixed, generally much more robust.
Camera shake setting is fixed.

Form changes: Spirit's primary now stacks slows.
Scrapper's Mod now activates every 2 seconds, but shoots much stronger bullets.

Glitch form secondary time active reduced to 0.75 seconds from 2.5 seconds. Glitch form no longer has any glitches, sorry guys

...it has absolutely nothing to do with me promising those units will be ready this week, and dev team wanting to kill me because of that.

What can you expect to find there:

New units!
  • Bloodgirl - Sometimes, death is cute! For now, has chance to spawn if there are many graves in close proximity, and it then "imprints" on a first strong host it finds, changing faction to that of the host and following them around. Needs blood to survive.

    • current bloodgirl only has "final" evolution, 2 smaller evolutions will come in the next weeks!

    • more attacks also incoming

  • Dryad - When a bee and a flower love each other very much, sometimes a dryad appears. She plants traps, that your units can walk into and get captured becoming fertiliser for her plant. If you defeat her before she finishes consuming them, they will pop out and survive!

  • Lightbringer evolution! She made a high-lvl debut, and painted her hair light-blond.

    • special attacks incoming soon (tm)

    • better stats!

  • Slug boss! A new hot unit, a real party animal, with many cool friends! Second boss in survival mode.

  • First wolf boss also got some fancy new skills and new look!

UI!
  • Windowed Structure UI - If you feel like managing your structures is interrupting your gameplay you can now enable "Windowed building UI" in "Other" tab in settings. Favorite feature of some of the devs.

Bugfixes!
  • We fixed few bugs that could prevent save from loading.

  • Probably created more new bugs in exchange.
