It’s my debut game on Steam and very simple but it’s made with love. I have a long way to go to become the developer I want to be so I’m very thankful to your support in these first steps!

I’ll be focusing on improvement and bugs reported by the community (first patch coming this week!) and after that... the future is bright! I want to make more girly games with better and better quality. 

Developing small games is great to improve my skills as a developer and I don’t know about you but as a player/gamer I always liked to play smaller ones inbetween bigger games. Do you do that too? I think it’s a nice “pause” it gets things less overwhelming. Idk, let me know if you do that too haha. But anyway, I would like to get to the point of making bigger games in the future too. Cheer for me please!

  • Redundant tooltips were removed from the shop

⚖️ Balancing Changes
  • Higher Cannon base fire rate (0.6 -> 1.0)

  • Cannon fire rate increase from Fire at Will is stronger (0.1 -> 0.15)

  • Cannon upgrade Giddy Gunners weaker (80% -> 50%) but cheaper

  • Higher Gravity Well base pull speed (0.3 -> 0.5)

  • Cannon and Gravity Well upgrades are now generally cheaper

🪲 Bug Fixes
  • Some path finding fixes and optimizations, slight efficiency improvements when multiple parallel parcel paths exist

Entwined Time - Patashu


1) We have a new puzzle author and bug-finder-and-reporter, cl1694! They've already helped buff a post-game puzzle and opened a new world with new puzzles and buffs of other community puzzles. Check it out for a challenge! (I also got some great bug reports from Bleatnik.)



2) I'm trying yet another new idea for Chapter 0 to try to teach the concept of 'a robot going down and rewinding back up after doing something useful'. Meet Light? is out and Interference is in. It does use a one-off tile but I hope what the tile does and why I need it is self-evident enough. It'd be nice to scatter this new tile around the campaign some more but I haven't even begun to think about this yet. Anyway, let me know if this works or if it's completely off the mark, but I really want to get this game to work properly for all skill levels.

  • Chapter 0: Cut Meet Light?. Replace with Interference and its (Insight).
  • Chapter D: Replace Springlock System (moved to Formless Exploration) with Kinetic Hotwire.
  • Chapter -1: Buff Pachinko (Loop 2) [VAR1]. Add cl1694 to credits guest levels.
  • Chapter M (WIP): Move Phantom Push and [VAR1] here.
  • The Cutting Room Floor: Add Lightning Round, Lightning Snake.
  • Green's World: Add Stuck [VAR1], Orbital Drop [VAR3]. Buff Broken Bridge [VAR2].
  • cl1694's World: Open a new chapter in Community Levels. Add Woodchunk and its (Insight), Woodchunk [VAR1], Joke Moving Service, Tile Selector [Low Power], Window of Opportunity [VAR1], Fire In The Sky [REV1] [VAR1], The Eclipse Pit [VAR1].
  • Custom elements: Add No Move.
  • Level editor: 'New Level' is now called 'Clear Level'.
  • Add a 'Discord' button to the Intro and Outro. Fix button focus issues in the Outro.
  • Replays that win by merging Chrono Helixes finally for realsies this time save properly.
  • Space Program/Far Lands/Void Diver achievements now only trigger if a robot is sent in that direction.
  • The menu button for Your Replay now changes to Save Replay when shift is held/Unwin when ctrl is held.
  • Replay Turn- and Replay Turn+ now work even if Replay Mode is off (turning Replay Mode on first). As a side-effect, while using a controller, Previous Level and Next Level now don't work while Replay Mode is on (to allow LT/RT to act as Replay Turn- and Replay Turn+ in more circumstances).
  • Bug Gallery: Improved crash handling in Negativity/Cut and Paste.
  • Publish Chapter E Steam Achievements and a hint for Exception Handler Steam Achievement.
  • Fix a Continuum/undo bug.
  • Fix a visual bug where Cuckoo Clocks did not chime.
  • Fix a visual bug when scrubbing through a Voidlike replay where Cuckoo Clocks have chimed.
  • Fix a visual bug when rewinding a Voidlike replay through an actor changing Colour (or similar brittle animations).

Thank you for playing the Kumitantei: Old-School Slaughter Demo! This update is a big milestone for the game, featuring a very talented voice cast in the Story Demo alongside plenty of fixes.

Story Demo
  • Added an animated title card to the start and end of the Story Demo.

  • Added voice acting to every dialogue scene.

  • Added the ability to replay voice lines in the Message Log.

  • Added Autoplay to dialogue. Pressing the Autoplay button toggles the feature, which will automatically continue dialogue after both the voice over and on-screen text writing are completed.

  • Updated the song "Ghost in the Joystick".

  • Several songs have been lowered in volume to accommodate for the new voice acting.

  • Several updates have been made to the script to align with the new voice acting.

  • The credits have been updated with voice credits, Kickstarter backer names, and the new song "House of Cards".

  • The input guide for basic actions now always appears after regaining control and after entering a new room.

  • The standard dialogue box is now slightly translucent to better show the environment and characters behind it.

  • Mouse controls have been slightly adjusted to allow for smoother camera control.

  • Significantly increased the player's run speed.

Other Changes
  • "Voice Volume", "Voice Language", and "Text Language" have been added to the System Settings menu.

  • Adjusted the default volume for each audio layer.

Fixes
  • Fixed a missing scan-able object in Classroom 1-A

  • Fixed a rare bug where the scanner visual effect would replay after quickly interacting with an object after dialogue completed.

  • Fixed several issues in which Himari's name occasionally appeared on the wrong side of the dialogue box.

  • Fixed several issues in which Himari's mouth animation would incorrectly play during certain text boxes.

  • Fixed an issue where Kaguya's mouth animation would not play during her introduction scene in Classroom 1-C.

  • Fixed an uncommon issue where two Himaris would appear during Hiroshi's introduction scene in the Prize Corner.
