This modifier lets you experiment with and enjoy the card before deciding whether to add it to your collection.

In this Brawl, a 0-mana, level 1 version of the new card will automatically be added to everyone’s deck, regardless of ownership or upgrades.

As part of our joyous Christmas Event, we're bringing back the Snowball Battle Brawl.

At the beginning of the battle, a Snowman is randomly spawned on the second row for each player. Friendly and enemy Snowmen are placed in the same tile from the player’s perspective (so they’re never face to face). For instance, on the 3rd tile from the left for each player.

The structure has 10/15/20 strength depending on the Brawl difficulty, does not come back once destroyed and does not impact the frontline.

The following Brawls will be festive:

• Casual Brawl (Starting on December 26th)
  
• Warrior Brawl (Starting on January 2nd)
  
• Ultimate Brawl (Starting on January 9th)

Players can get a special Christmas avatar (in the 6th milestone) in each Brawl difficulty.

• Sound Drivers' movement is now 1 (changed from 0), and the strength is now 2/3/4/5/6 (down from 3/4/5/6/7).
  
• Wrinkled Foretopmen's strength is now 4/5/6/7/8 (up from 3/4/5/6/7).
  
• Trekking Aldermen‘s strength is now 4/5/6/7/8 (up from 3/4/5/6/7).
  
• Powder Tower's mana cost reduced to 5 (from 6), and the strength is now 4/5/6/7/8 (up from 3/4/4/5/6).

A new version of Stormbound is coming in October, bringing balance changes, Ranked System Reword, and Halloween Event!

In this update, we've reworked the Ranked Mode. Together with the new Fortress Leveling System and recent economy improvements, these updates aim to create a more balanced and rewarding experience for all players.

From now on, players will be able to play not only in their highest League, but also in all unlocked previous ones. Additionally, once Rank 1 of a league is maxed, you can still play in that rank just for coin winnings.




Starting from now on, chests are given when you reach all stars in Rank 1 of a league, or at the end of the season for your highest league. When you reach Rank 1 in any league, you’ll get a chest right away and be promoted to the next league. This means no more waiting for the end of the month to claim rewards!

The only exception is the Heroes League Seasonal Chest - it is still only available at the end of the season.




While individual chest rewards have been adjusted, the ability to collect more chests means you’ll be earning similar or more rewards for the same gameplay throughout the season.



Fortress Level Exp doesn't change, which means there's now an additional way of getting more Exp - by unlocking lower level Seasonal Chests.

In this update, we’ve removed the Diamond+ League and expanded the Heroes League to accommodate more than 500 players. This makes high-level competition more dynamic and ensures that top-ranked players have even more opportunities to compete at the highest levels.

Additional rewards which are given for ending in Top 250 or higher stay the same.

Please note that when Heroes League players decide to play in the Diamond League, their Heroes League score will not change.

We’ve added a card level limit of 4 in the Platinum League, making matches even more about skill and strategy inside it.

Matchmaking has been adjusted to fit the current system, and don't worry! It will never prioritize matching new players with more experienced players.

We believe we did a good job with it, but based on results, we plan to keep tweaking it in the next weeks.


Your avatar is now visible next to your username in all leagues you're currently playing in. We've also added visual effects to improve the UI look.

To celebrate Halloween, we're hosting a Halloween event in Stormbound! Enjoy the spooktacular surprises we've conjured up for you this spooky season.

The Halloween event starts October 28th, 2024 and will last until November 4th, 2024, 8:00 AM CET.



During the event, Book of Spells and Book of the Undead will yield 2 extra cards.

As a part of the Halloween event, there will be a special Brawl for this occasion: Spooky Pumpkin.

During this brawl, every dead enemy will spawn a Spooky Pumpkin structure that explodes under special conditions. The structure has 3/5/7 strength, depending on the Brawl difficulty.

The following Brawls will be spooky:

• The Casual Brawl starting on October 31st.
  
• The Warrior Brawl starting on November 7th,
  
• The Ultimate Brawl starting on November 14th.

With this update, we've improved the appearance and the mechanic of the new card offers to make them more attractive. These offers are grouped under one banner, allowing players to switch between levels by clicking on the "Level 1, Level 3, Level 5" buttons.

These offers will function similarly to the previous ones: they will provide card copies and resources that are specifically matched to the rarity of the cards.

What's more, players can only purchase an offer if the level it gives is higher than the current level of the card you have. For example:

• If your card is at Level 1, you can’t buy the Level 1 offer.
  
• If your card is at Level 4, only the Level 5 offer is available.
  
• Pricing depends on the current level of the card you have and its rarity.

This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.

• Olf the Hammer's strength is now 6/7/8/10/12 (down from 7/8/9/11/13), and the ability now gives 3/3/4/4/5 to your base (changed from 3/3/4/5/6).
  
• Trusty Shepherds strength is now 1/2/3/4/5 (down from 2/3/4/5/6).
  
• Treasurous Bosuns' mana is now 5 (changed from 4) and the strength is now 5/6/7/8/10 (changed from 4/5/6/7/8).
  
• Stoic Protectors' ability made to disable friendly abilities (instead of only enemy units).
  
• Clap of Thunder's mana is now 4 (changed from 5).
  
• Fluffy Badboxers' ability now confuses all enemy units with strength up to 4/5/6/7/9 (previously confused all weaker enemy units).
  
• Melodious Sisters' now deals 4/5/6/7/8 damage (previously capped up to the strength of the attacked unit).

A new Brawl modifier is launching on August 29th, 2024, featuring the new Celestial Summoners card. This modifier lets you experiment with and enjoy the card before deciding whether to add it to your collection.

As usual, a 0-mana, level 1 version of the new card will automatically be added to everyone’s deck, regardless of ownership or upgrades. This means all decks will temporarily contain 13 cards, giving you an exciting opportunity to explore new strategies with Celestial Summoners.

• Siro the Resurrector's ability now allows for the respawn up to 2/2/3/3/4 non-Hero friendly units [...] (instead of 1/2/3/4/all surrounding non-legendary friendly units).

This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.

• Vindicators' ability made to target a unit and structure "Before attacking a unit or structure [..]" (changed from "Before attacking [..]")
  
• Gift of the Wise’s* ability made gain 13 mana and give 2/3/4/5/6 strength to the weakest friendly unit (changed from Gain mana).
  
• Ubass the Hunter’s strength is now 7/8/8/10/12 (instead 5/6/6/8/10), and the ability made to deal 1/1/2/2/2 damage [..] (instead 1/1/2/2/3)
  
• Earthfathers‘ ability made to gain 3/4/4/5/6 strength (instead 4/4/4/5/5).

* All balance changes will be implemented on June 1, 2024. However, the update for Gift of the Wise will be rolled out separately with the client update in mid-June, along with the corresponding compensation.



With the latest patch, we've reworked the Fortress Leveling system to grant experience points (EXP) for various in-game activities, rather than just collecting and leveling cards.

This system allows players to gain EXP by engaging in different activities, ultimately increasing their Fortress HP as they accumulate the required amount of EXP.



What's more, with the launch of the new Fortress Leveling System, we are removing the Base Demolisher system. Each player will receive an extra bonus reward from the Base Demolisher level they were on the verge of reaching.

In-game activities that award experience points are divided into one-time and recurring categories.

One-time EXP Sources: These activities grant EXP only once per account:

• Finishing Campaign chapters.
  
• Reaching new highest rank for the first time.
  
• Unlocking a new card not yet in Player's collection.

Recurring EXP Sources: These activities grant EXP each time the conditions are met:

• Dealing damage to the enemy base in competitive modes.
  
• Completing daily quests at each tier.
  
• Opening draft chests.
  
• Reaching brawl milestones.
  
• Opening ranked chests.
  
• Fortress Leveling System EXP Sources

The Fortress Leveling system also introduces intermediate levels that players can achieve between main fortress levels. Reaching these levels allows players to collect rewards.

Please refer to the table below for details on the EXP required to achieve levels and unlock rewards within the Fortress Leveling System, as well as the corresponding Fortress Levels themselves.

We're granting ourselves the flexibility to fine-tune the EXP values for individual activities as we gather more data. Nevertheless, at present, we're satisfied with the numbers we've implemented.

Additionally, we are planning new iterations of the system for players who have already completed 20 levels of the base game. However, we need to collect sufficient data before proceeding to ensure it is well-tailored to their needs.

What's more, players can view their Fortress level and progress toward the next level on the Player Profile popup, which features a progress bar. The popup includes a scrollable list of in-game activities and the EXP earned from each activity.

To sum up, this system is designed to offer players a higher-quality and fairer progression curve that more effectively rewards active play.

Ultimately, New Fortress Leveling provides significantly more resources for player progression through Fortress Levels compared to the Base Demolisher.
