This update releases next week!

Major Changes
Month-Long Tower of Titans

The Tower of Titans is a challenge meant to test the power of your Heroes and Champions, but in practice, it predominantly tested your ability to play a whole lot during a single weekend.

Starting with update 21.0, the Tower of Titans event will now run for 28 days instead of a single weekend! Challenge the tower at your own pace, be it a single day marathon of furious questing or a more relaxed, one floor a day kind of deal. The Titan isn’t going anywhere! Other events will run alongside the Tower according to their usual schedule, so plan accordingly.

For those among you who eat Terror Titans for breakfast… be prepared. There are whispers of new, tenebrous depths opening up below the Tower in the coming months…

Lost City of Gold

Speaking of other events, the Lost City of Gold is getting a QoL bump, too! The LCOG Keybearer boss will now always be available during the event, alongside the standard quest. There is no longer a need to micromanage quests or waste time flicking aside puny Tier 1 bosses anymore.

In other words, the Keybearer can now be beaten once per difficulty in any order of your choice. Lock and load those Loot Bugles for the next event!

About the Events & The Release of 21.0

With the great amount of changes that happened in the backend to accommodate this new iteration of the Tower of Titans, please be advised that on the release date (September 2nd) you will need to have claimed the rewards for the August 29th Lost City of Gold BEFORE you update to version 21.0, else risk losing them!

Argon Finally Saved!

It took Lilu a bit more time than anticipated, but she finally devised a remedy for Argon’s unfortunate condition! He’s been freed from the stone, seemingly with no side effects. Everyone, welcome back our favorite Paladin!

A big thanks for you shopkeepers as well for participating in this first installment of our in-game Community Event! We’ve been looking out for your feedback on this first iteration and will be taking that into consideration for future runs.

King Schedule

The King will return as a Guest Champion starting on September 15th to 18th.

Major Changes
Argon has Been Turned to Stone!

Something (or someone?) turned Argon to stone! Who could it be!? The whole city is getting together to find a cure, and you Shopkeepers are included! Let’s save our favorite Champion by crafting as many Herbs and Potions as possible! Send out the Heroes, too! We may find a cure in some remote corner of the world!

This petrifying turn of events is also our very first in-game Community Event! Progress is now tracked within the game, as are the potential rewards!

Note that while Argon is turned to stone, you can still bring him into quests. He’s a bit stiff, but still inspiring! If everyone gets together, we can save Argon from his fate as a perpetual lawn ornament!

Community Events

In the past, Community Events we've had were always handled outside of the game itself. Starting with this update, Community Events are now integrated directly in the game allowing rewards, progress and goals to all be showcased and tracked without having to leave the game.

This first Community Event will start on Friday, August 8th.

Minor Changes
  • Vending Machine sales will now contribute towards achievements and Content Pass tasks.

Balance Changes
  • Rebalanced the Titan Admiral Boots and Titan Admiral Arms blueprints to use Essence instead of Ether.

  • Fixed the Chase Cards first reward step. They will now properly grant a bonus as soon as you collect one!

King Schedule

The King will return as a Guest Champion starting on August 18th until the 21st.

Notable Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where ascending a Moonstone or Runestone would cause a crash/disconnect.

  • Fixed an issue where the event reward track did not focus onto your current progress position.

  • Fixed building tabs in the Building Info menu not being localized.

  • Fixed the Titan Admiral Arms blueprint missing an Antique Token cost.

  • Fixed an issue where the Tier 15 filter appeared in Advanced Search for Racks while the player was below the required level.

  • The Lost City of Gold event reward track will no longer appear the first three times you claim a quest or when no reward is available to claim.

  • Fixed an issue with Guild Descriptions and Welcome Messages not updating after being changed

  • Fixed an issue with dynamically loaded images. This should lead to an overall decrease in memory consumption across all devices.

This update releases next week!

Major Changes
Event Difficulty Selection

Are events too easy? Or perhaps impossible for your tiny guild? Read below.

With this update, we offer a new power to Guild officers; Event Difficulty Selection. For each of our Guild Events (Lost City of Gold, King’s Caprice and Dragon Invasion), a difficulty level can be chosen.

For players comfortable with event difficulty until now, Hard offers similar rewards and challenges. Easy and Medium are more appropriate for smaller guilds of newer players, offering lesser rewards in exchange for a more reasonable challenge.

Extreme is suited for established guilds of advanced players, wishing to face steeper requirements in exchange for greater rewards. In addition, it features a few extra bonus rewards beyond the Grand Prize, for guilds who want to go the extra mile.

New Event Difficulties are unlocked through the Town Hall building level. Once a new difficulty is unlocked, it can be assigned to one or more events individually by officers. Keep in mind however that an event’s difficulty cannot be changed while the event is running.

As part of this update, your guild’s event difficulties will be automatically set to the highest difficulty allowed by your Town Hall. It will however not automatically be set to Extreme, to prevent presenting an insurmountable challenge to unwary guilds. If you’d like to tackle the Extreme difficulty, it can be manually assigned by any guild officer.

To see the score requirements for the grand prize of each event and difficulty, read further down below.

Minor Changes
  • A “Personal Best” indication has been added to Lost City of Gold, King’s Caprice and Dragon Invasion events. This way, players can easily see how well they performed in the past and strive to surpass themselves!

  • Receiving duplicates of Collection Cards now also gives you Card Shards.

  • Added a new fusion recipe to make Common Collection Card Packs, using Card Shards.

    • This Fusion is available for everyone!

  • Updated decorations across the board to be able to attract visitors more easily.

  • Added new worker statues to Grab Bags.

  • Artifact blueprints are no longer a possible item requested by Champions.

  • The Platinum Shop Frame is now available in Platinum Chests.

Balance Changes
  • Increased the odds of receiving a Chase Card in all the Collection Card Pack.

  • Chase Cards now give a bonus as soon as you receive one.

    • Those bonuses have been slightly increased overall as well.

  • Collection Card Packs can now drop from the Piggy Bank and be purchased from the Fortune Zone Store.

  • A new 12th quest difficulty has been added to the Lost City of Gold.

  • Alongside that new quest, all LCOG difficulties have been tuned: quests now last 90 minutes but yield roughly 50% more Pure Gold.

  • Break chances for the LCOG quests have been slightly reduced.

  • Increased the maximum item tier that can drop in the Fortune Zone Store from 11 to 14.

  • Changed the Defense stat to HP for the Titan Scepter Blueprint.

King Schedule

The King will return as a Guest Champion starting on July 21st until the 24th.

Notable Bug Fixes
  • A long press will now showcase the Blueprint Details in a reward track.

  • Fixed an issue where Furniture Skins were not purchasable from the King's Caprice Antique Store.

  • Fixed an issue where the odds of rolling an Ancient Jungle quest component in the Fortune Zone Store and Grab Bags was higher than intended.

  • Fixed an issue where obtaining a new Collection Card could trigger an unlock notification for some wallpapers and floorings.

  • Fixed an issue where the Login Calendar HUD icon would show up in the City screen.

  • Fixed an issue where the Gem Fountain would no longer appear for sale on the webstore if it expired at any point.

  • Fixed some blueprint types displaying an Airship Power stat when they cannot be donated in Dragon Invasion.

Shop Titans - Zesty Hamburger
Minor Changes
  • Added the Tattered Binder artifact component as possible loot in quests.

  • The Collection Score button in the profile card will now open into the Collection Book selection screen instead of the Item Collection.

  • Fixed an issue where the bonuses from Beatrice’s Collection Card weren’t applied properly.

  • Fix an issue with the Collector’s Piece blueprint where its Essence resource cost was abnormally high.

  • Removed the Mundra's Spite affinity from the Four Wyrms Mace, Dragonwood Bow, Pyroclastic Crown blueprints as this Spirit cannot be crafted.

  • Fixed an issue where we had missing textures in the early parts of the game.

  • Fixed an issue where the night time lighting was enabled in places where the night does not usually fall.

About the Collection Cards

First of all, thank you for joining us for the high-octane release that was our 6th anniversary! Every year, we are thankful for all of you being here for the ride.

We’ve been listening to your feedback. The Collection Cards feature was always meant as a simple new layer of collection, showcasing art of the characters you know and love. However, it was clear on release that we had dialed the slow-grinding aspect of the feature too far. We have the following actions planned for the immediate and near future to address the most common feedback.

For 20.1 (releasing in early July)
  • Duplicates of cards you receive now also give Card Shards, in addition to card XP.

  • Introducing a Fusion Recipe to craft a Common Collection Card Packs, using Card Shards as the primary ingredient.

  • Collection Card Packs can now drop from the Piggy Bank and be purchased from the Fortune Zone Store.

  • Add an initial reward step for the Chase Cards.

  • Increase the drop rates of Chase Cards.

If you’ve already received duplicates of cards, the Card Shards will be retroactively added to your inventory when the 20.1 update drops. If you happen to have already mastered every single collection card, you can still hold on to your packs and Card Shards! There will be more cards added to the collection over time.

We also wanted to address some recurring concerns that have been floating around the community for a while about the future of Shop Titans. While we cannot elaborate much on what we are working on (for now!), we wanted to reassure you that Shop Titans is here to stay. While it’s true we at Kabam Montreal are working on other projects, those are separate teams, doing new things. We have no firm release date for these projects as of yet, but stay tuned for more updates!

Shop Titans - Zesty Hamburger

Hello Shopkeepers!

The Anniversary is here! To celebrate we have made you some personal Shop Stats videos to recap some of your shop’s milestones from the last year!

To access your video look out for an in-game message with a link to your video or head over to https://stats.playshoptitans.com/!

Regarding accessing your video:

  • Please note that in order to receive a video you had to have met a couple of criteria that are outlined on the landing page above or have filled out the community form.

  • The data pulled to generate the videos could not retrieve usernames for accounts older than early 2023.

  • If your account is newer than early 2023 or you've changed your username since, then you likely can fetch your video using your Player ID and can see your username displayed in the video.

  • Otherwise, this means the only way to access your video, if you meet the criteria, is to use the link in the in-game mailbox or manually input your Unique ID found in the Settings menu on the landing page.

Regarding some of the stats displayed in the video:

  • The hours played stat, as many have deduced, is your lifetime hours played rather than just from the last year.

  • The specialty stat was intended to be the category you crafted the most, but is instead the item type of the item you crafted the most and the number of times you crafted that item. For example, if your most crafted item was 1000 Squire Swords, then the stat will display "swords" as your specialty and "1000" as the crafted count.

  • The hero level stats is displaying the amount of levels your heroes gained in the last year, not the total levels of your heroes.

Once you've got your video feel free to share it with your friends and with your guild!

Thanks for 6 years of Shop Titans and we can’t wait to celebrate for years to come!

Collection Cards

There’s a new bookmark in the Collection Book! Cards? What’s this!?

Cards can be earned from special Card Packs (opened with gems or earned from events). Each will reward 5 different cards to collect!

There are currently 43 different cards to collect, one per character in the game! Each comes in three different rarities too. When a card is earned, it will automatically be added to the collection book and increase your Collection Score.

That’s not all though, each card has a unique, permanent bonus! For example, the Argon Card will unlock a permanent 5% bonus to his stats simply from earning one card. The bonus can be increased further, up to 25%, by collecting more Argon Cards and earning XP progress towards the next bonus level. Rare and Mythic Argon cards grant much more XP toward these bonuses.

While most cards have 3 upgrade levels, a rare few only have a single, powerful effect. In this case, no bonus is available until enough XP is earned to unlock it. Elder Owen, for example, is one such card. If you manage to unlock his bonus, you’ll gain a permanent +2 furniture space for your shop!

Happy collecting, shopkeepers!

Grand Collection Content Pass

In the spirit of Collection, here comes another Content Pass with some exclusive content! It also includes an artifact, the Binder of Memories! Also exclusive to this event are Mythic Card Packs and Rare Card Packs, special packs that guarantee at least one Mythic or Rare card respectively. Don’t wanna miss those!

Shopkeepers who complete every single task will also unlock the exclusive Antiquarian title.

The Grand Collection Content Pass will run for 2 weeks, starting on June 12th and ending on June 27th.

“Welcome Back” Improvements
For players coming back after an extended period of time, the first “Welcome Back!” message they see will contain a summary of major features from the last few updates.

Minor Changes

  • Added Eye Glasses to the customization options, available for gold for everyone.
  • Improved the Daily Offer to better take into account a player’s current progression.
  • The Guild’s Choice VFX has been toned down a bit, as per popular demand.

Balance Changes
  • Removed the Light affinity from the Nook & Cranny Dual Wield Blueprint. It just wasn’t luminous enough to deserve it. We did fix its weaker than intended stats in exchange.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ancient Jungle Quests were dropping items of subpar interest.

Webstore Updates
Gem Fountain
The Gem Fountain offer can now be purchased directly from the webstore!
Other Changes

  • Fixed an issue where Spirits’ skill information was missing from its Item Details menu.

This update is slated for release on April 15th.

New Content
Tier 15 is Here!

40 new blueprints are now available! There’s more every year, isn’t there!?

For this new batch of blueprints, we have to take a step back in time. A pretty big step back in fact, considering we’re time traveling back several million years. Pack a big lunch, because routine trips to the Ancient Jungle quest will be required to craft wonderful new items such as the Behemoth armor set, the Blossomblade or the mythical Dino Nuggies.

New Quest

The untamed Ancient Jungle is the realm of dinosaurs! One would be a fool to go wandering these hunting grounds willingly. We really need those components, though.

The Ancient Jungle quest can be unlocked starting at Merchant Level 66, costing 15 billion gold.

Just plain old components won’t be enough for this tier however. Read below on the new Timewarped Components.

Timewarped Components

It seems that the return trip back to the present may have a beneficial effect on some old components!

Unique to the Ancient Jungle quest, a new option to Timewarp components will be available. Whenever you start a quest, you’ll have the option to bring in a stack of compatible components. If your quest succeeds, these components will be upgraded into a new form, which is needed to craft many Tier 15 items. If the quest fails however, you’ll lose them, so be careful!

Advanced Research
A new special node has been added to Advanced Research. For each item type, if you’ve unlocked a Tier 15 blueprint and unlocked at least one node for that type, a new research node will be made available. Unlocking it will apply all previously unlocked Advanced Research nodes of that item type to Tier 15 as well.

For example, a player who has unlocked all Advanced Research for Swords can have the Craft Speed, Surcharge Energy Reduction and XP Bonus also apply to Tier 15 swords with this upgrade.

New Worker Levels
The level cap for workers has been increased to 50, provided you have the building level for it. Levels past 45 will have a different effect; the craft time reduction is more pronounced, but only applies to items of Tier 15 or higher.

As part of this change, the experience requirement for the workers levels has been reduced. You’re welcome!

Login Calendar: A Trip Through Time

While veteran players are busy time-traveling and crafting chunky Tier 15 items, we’ve also prepared a special Login Calendar for newer players to enjoy. It contains a plethora of Prehistoric rewards to claim over 15 days!

Though it is aimed towards newer players, there’s no restriction as to who can participate.

The Trip Through Time Login Calendar will start on April 17th and run until May 5th.

Major Changes
New Building Levels
The Emerald Inn and the Tavern now have new levels to accommodate the new dungeon. The buildings of city workers now also have three new levels to support their max level of 50.

Minor Changes
  • It is now possible to fully ascend an item by long-tapping the ascension button. You’ll get a warning first.
  • The item details menu will now display the multiple item types a Dual Wield item is classified as, the Quiver bonus an item has, and the affinity an item has.

Balance Changes
  • The maximum rank of Champions has been increased to 11+60.
  • Polonia’s cap on the tier of equipment stolen has been increased by 1.
  • Sigils, both True and regular, are rather old news at this point. Their fusion recipe has been simplified to help players get past Tier 11-12. They now require 10 of an appropriate quest component in exchange for 3 Sigils.
  • Elysium-related Fusions (e.g. chest and components) now require Supreme Moonstones.
  • Most city buildings have had their investment tick requirements lowered. You’ll need more ticks overall to reach the newly added building levels though!
  • The amount of crafts required to master mid-tier blueprints has been reduced slightly.
  • Slightly rebalanced minimum Hero level required to equip item tiers. Tier 15 can be equipped starting at Hero level 38.
  • Rebalanced Merchant level required to unlock tiers on the market. Tier 15 can be traded on the market starting at level 65.
  • The Elysium dungeon is now cheaper to unlock.
Webstore Updates
Updated Navigation
  • The navigation has been visually updated to better display content within that tab at a glance and support a theoretical infinite number of tabs.
  • Some improvements have also been made to scrolling through the navigation on mobile; when scrolling you will now “snap” onto the nearest button.

King Schedule
The King will return as a Guest Champion starting on April 28th until May 1st.

Seasonal Content
Cinco de Mayo Collection
The Cinco de Mayo collection will return starting on May 2nd and running until May 7th.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Grab Bags awarding incorrect quantities and/or types of rewards.
  • Fixed visual issues with background blur on several menus.
  • Fixed an issue where chat could be accessed before completing the proper tutorials.
  • Fixed the Gem cost for resetting Talent Trees not capping at 500 Gems as intended.
  • Fixed the error message when attempting to buy a blueprint from the Collection Book with an inadequate amount of Antique Tokens mentioning the King’s Caprice event not being active.
  • Fixed Vending Machine sales not contributing to tasks for selling item tiers and selling items for Gold.
  • Fixed the Item Packs section of the store displaying offers meant for early progression players regardless of player’s own progression.
  • Fixed the Mercenary hero class not properly calculating effects from Champion party bonuses.
  • Fixed a white square that would show up next to the Hero’s status assigned to the Dragon Invasion airship.
  • Fixed King’s Caprice Antique Token cost discounts applying to the Collection Book when any major event was running.
  • Fixed Royal Merchant Antique Store slot exclusive blueprints being available for purchase in the Collection Book to non-Royal Merchants.

Shop Titans Content Pass

This Content Pass is quite local! In fact, it feels like home! The Shop Titans Content Pass features new yet familiar content based on your favorite characters! Earn Pollux Tokens by completing tasks to work your way towards Bjorn’s Bow, or a model version of Polonia’s ship for your shop! Donovan’s Cloak is also available as a bonus reward!

Real OGs may be interested in the True Shopkeeper title, earned by completing every task of this Content Pass.

The Content Pass will be available starting on March 18th until April 2nd.

Collection Book Improvements
You have long toiled away at the Collection Book, filling its pages with legendary items. But have you ever wondered what the collection book could do for you in return?

Starting in this update, it will now be possible to purchase antique blueprints from within the collection book! Standard conditions apply; the item must be an antique, and in some cases, your account must be old enough to claim the item. One new condition however is that you must master a blueprint of the same line that is one tier above (or higher). For example, mastering a Tier 14 Wand will make all antique Wands of Tier 13 and below available to unlock using Antique Tokens at their standard cost. Until a new tier releases, Tier 14 items remain exclusive to offers and the Antique Store.

As a small bonus, the Antique Store now features a 15% discount on blueprints.

Gem Fountain

This special fountain is a new offer you don’t want to miss. For the cost of $4.99 (USD), you’ll receive 550 gems instantly alongside the Gem Fountain decoration. The Gem Fountain will then generate 50 gems daily for 30 days! You’ll need to login daily though, otherwise that day’s gems will be lost.

Once the duration runs out, the Gem Fountain will go dormant until the offer is purchased again, granting all of its bonuses (including the initial gems) once more.

Major Changes
Superior Packs
Superior Packs just got a bit superior-er! They now follow a format similar to Mega Packs, offering a bundle of new content in each half, or the complete package at a discount. Superior Packs now also contain two blueprints (with one typically belonging to a Premium line) and a few customizations or decorations.

Talent Tree Refunds
By popular demand, it is now possible to refund Talent points individually. Each point now costs 50 gems to refund. The cost of refunding an entire tree still caps out at 500 gems, so it may be a beneficial option for major changes to your playstyle. Nothing beats a Refund Token, of course.

Minor Changes
  • When using the Coincidental Preparations (chance to instantly complete a quest) talent alongside a Compass-type booster, the booster will be refunded if the quest autocompletes.
  • Many players learn very late about the existence of the Guild’s Choice mechanic for city buildings. We’ve made it a bit more eye-catching.
  • The store button is now displayed on the main HUD.

Balance Changes
  • Significantly increased the Merchant XP value of Dual Wield blueprints.
  • Blueprints found in the Antique Store now have a 15% discount.
  • The Vending Machine Surcharge chance now caps out at 20%.
  • The Vending Machine’s unique stats (Surcharge chance and sale frequency) now cap out as early as level 16, so you won’t need to spend many Dragonmarks to get the most of it.
  • The Vending Machine’s Max Energy bonus is now double that of a regular rack.
In the longer term, we’ll be looking at more substantial changes to the Vending Machine to improve its usefulness and fun factor.

Webstore Updates
Antique Token Bundles
Just in time for the Collection Book upgrade, you can now purchase Antique Tokens directly from the webstore! Six different bundles are available.

King Schedule
