Remember to not sell them during quests - selling horses is available only when you don't have an active quest on you.

It seems that Guy spilled the tea somewhere lately because we have received a lot of questions about further updates. Well, be careful what you wish for... or rather be happy that you get what you wish for because we have a little something for you.

However, before we introduce you to the July update, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continuous support and hundreds of hours of conversations when you've shared your feedback with us. We're thankful for each review because without them - both positive and negative - we wouldn't know which features need improvement. And even though we're not able to change many things at this stage of Rustler's development, we can promise you that we will take this experience with us and use it in the development of our other games.

Yes, you see that right, in April Rustler has been marked as Steam Deck Verified. Since then many of you have played it there and thanks to your engagement, we were able to optimize Rustler for Steam Deck a bit more. Thank you! The list contains only the most often reported bugs, we've fixed many minor ones as well:

• We've added some extra time to the mace murderfest so it would be a bit easier to complete.
  
• If you quit the game right after watching the intro and then load the save, you should be able to continue the game without any problems.
  
• The Taxi Guy fail report won't show up on the game's screen while playing other minigames.
  
• If you've killed Sleazy in your previous gameplay, don't worry, you'll meet him again on the next run.
  
• Winning MMA fights will no longer block you from launching minigames with the "E" key while sitting on a horse's back.
  
• You shouldn't experience any problems with the "condemned" scenes anymore.
  
• If you try to repeat the "His Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" quest while doing the "Take Sleazy Home" quest, Sleazy should now show up in the return point anyway and follow Guy.
  
• In the side quest "By a Long Shot", Guy shouldn't be seen floating anymore.
  
• You're not able to buy a safe house while riding on a taxi horse.
  
• If the 3rd debtor hits Guy while he's sitting on a horse, Guy shouldn't get blocked from performing other actions.
  
• Exploding red barrels and TNT will kill you without locking you in place. No chance of surviving the hit or getting stuck now.
  
• Guy shouldn't have the chance to spin around in place now after jumping off the med cart.
  
• We've tried to fix all language issues. Let us know if we've taken proper care of that.
  
• You won't fail the Stayin' Alive minigame by hitting a passer-by anymore.
  
• If you have both: psycho fan and mercenary following you on the map, you don't have to worry anymore that they will keep throwing each other off the horse. The psycho fan will keep following you even if the place on the horse's back is taken.
  
• If you buy the bard's services and then fire him, and hire him once again, the bard won't throw a tantrum anymore - earlier, he had some trouble with his pride and didn't want to sing after being rehired. And you know, we've had "a talk" and now he'll be singing more beautifully than ever, whenever you decide to give him a job :)
  
• Any quest markers on the map will now point in the one and only right direction. Thanks to them, you will be able to, f.ex., localize stakes in the quarry sooner.

When the last announcement appeared here just three weeks ago, welcoming spring and Easter event, we haven't expected to get pranked on April Fools so easily. Mother Nature had her plans, though, and decided to let it snow. In April, you see it right.

However, we wanted to let you know we're happy that you enjoy the in-game Easter event and our little April Fools' Day surprise! We've decided to bring you one more patch before Easter, though!



The last update brought you new encounters that make the game's world feel more alive. Horse kicking random NPCs, cows falling from the sky, a psycho fan following Guy around, and many more. This time, we have NPCs randomly jumping on Taxi horse's back and taking a quick ride into the unknown. At least, it will remain unknown until you decide to chase them and check where they decide to get off.

Since the March update, you've reported some new and recurring bugs. We've made sure that this time all the most critical bugs are fixed and the game's balance is improved. We've also added some new checkpoints.

• We've added new checkpoints in the quests: High Season, The Great Battle of Registration, and Meat Muffins.
  
• Jousting and horse racing should be now working properly.
  
• Easter event has an easier-to-fulfill condition of completion. You don't have to collect all the eggs on the map anymore to complete the event.
  
• Controllers' bug is fixed and using gamepads shouldn't cause you troubles anymore.
  
• MMA progress is counted correctly now. Due to that, the game's progress should be counted correctly.
  
• NPCs won't steal the horse that Guy has just rode.
  
• Bishop's guards will now properly react if you try to shoot them from a distance.
  
• Guy shouldn't get stuck next to the tombstone anymore.
  
• There shouldn't be any places left with a visible connection of textures.
  
• Enemies' shields should be well visible now.
  
• You should not be losing Guy's outfit that we wore when saving the game after loading this save.

Easter is coming, so we have some easter eggs for you. Like literally. However, that's just a tiny bit of what we have prepared for you.

In April (starting April 1, 2022), you will be able to enjoy the Easter event focused on - you have no idea, right? - collecting Easter eggs in Rustler's world. An egg-cellent idea, isn't it?



Many of you wanted a more lively world. There you have it! We've prepared some new encounters for you to enjoy in the game, including:

• Random NPC will try to steal other NPC's horses (doesn't apply to Guy, though, 'cause they know he's badass).
  
• It's raining cows! Yes, you can encounter a cow falling straight on some NPCs' heads now!
  
• Keep an eye on your cows! And on those not yours too. Because... UFO is coming to make their world amooooosing.
  
• You can now meet your no. 1 fan! Or well, more like a psycho fan. He will follow you around and cheer for you when you fight! A pity they didn't have a camera in middle-ages, right? He could be a paparazzi!
  
• Spanish Inquisition will be even more unexpected than ever. Play Rustler a couple of times and discover all of the locations where inquisitors can catch up with you!
  
• You can encounter certain groups of NPCs fighting each other. However, mind that if you decide to join in on the fun, the only person happy about it will (probably) be Guy.
  
• Some parked horses know what boredom is... and may kick random NPCs who are walking behind them!

Today we have something special to share with you. A never before published video of a dark tank (prepared for DLC Vinci) with the Knight Rider theme!

• The game shouldn't crash during longer chases.
  
• There should be 5 Murder Fests available in the base game.
  
• If a horse stands between you and Vin during dialogue before the first Vin's quest, there should not be any problems with Guy's pathfinding anymore.
  
• You can't use an auto crossbow in MMA anymore.
  
• You can't enter any of the houses in the first village.
  
• Death costume won't be available to use at any point of the game without finishing
  
• Pokehorse side-quest gives the correct horse as a reward now.
  
• Killing the courier after getting the objective to go to the cemetery won't be considered a failure anymore.
  
• Tables placed in Vinci's workshop should have proper colliders now.
  
• Any z-fighting issues were fixed.
  
• There shouldn't be any sharp texture seams visible.
  
• Any misspelling issues should be fixed.

• Quest A Hero This City Deserves should be easier to complete now due to correcting information about the wanted level and Capitain Middle Age's behavior.

• You shouldn't be able to get on high stones on a horse now. Many object colliders were fixed.
  
• You cannot get blocked behind the stables in the second city's Army Camp.
  
• Water shouldn't disappear from the sea anymore.
  
• Texts in quest Witch, please should be set in the correct order.
  
• Guy won't be able to shoot Vinci's assistant with arquebus, before getting an objective.
  
• After getting into the tank, Guy shouldn't be seen running next to it.
  
• There shouldn't be any more problems with audio disappearing after mounting a horse.
  
• The Taxi mini-game was updated, and now you won't fail it due to knocking NPC down or getting chased by guards.
  
• During dialogue with Vin Guy cannot run around anymore.
  
• Minor changes of names used do describe specific game settings.
  
• There is an improved Japanese translation.
  
• There are also minor fixes to other translations that you've reported recently.
  
• You should be able to get a rematch at MMA. The activation circle should also work well.
  
• If you run the barrels over with your horse in the Science, peach quests, you will now fail the quest (there was a problem with progress blocking because of destroying barrels this way).
  
• You won't have trouble with losing the arquebus after failing the MurderFest with an arquebus as a mandatory weapon.

2021 is ending, and we have to say that we've come a long way this year. Rustler launched in Early Access in February and premiered in full version at the end of August. Here's a quick changelog:

• Taunting is in da house! If you have a sword and a shield, you can taunt and provoke your enemies by hitting your own shield with your sword. [Tip: When Guy uses a sword with a shield, press RMB + Tab to taunt during the fight.]
  
• Tank's image will change according to how damaged it is.
  
• You can see the damage done to the tank more clearly now thanks to the smoke and splinters coming from it after each hit. You can also hear a "boom" when it breaks down.
