Rocket League® - Psyonix_Laudie

Version: Rocket League v2.52
Platforms: Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S
Scheduled Release: May 13, 2025, at 4 PM PT / 11 PM UTC

Changes and Updates

Chat Filtering
  • We’ve improved our text filtering capabilities on all platforms. Improvements include updating to a mature language filter to better filter out various kinds of mature language and toxicity. You will see this across Match and Party Chat in how text is now filtered.
    • Chat bans and game bans will still be issued for reported players who violate our Community Rules and the Rocket League Code of Conduct or attempt to circumvent the filtering system.
  • Match Chat for players on PC (EGS and Steam) will now be filtered alongside Party Chat. This means that PC players will see filtering in messages they send and receive for language that violates our rules.
Bug Fixes

Xbox
  • 120 FPS support on Xbox Series X|S has been restored after a regression in our v2.51 update. Be sure your console's in-game Video Quality setting is set to "Performance" mode and ensure your display supports 120Hz over HDMI 2.1+.
    • Players should expect to see 120 FPS with vertical sync settings turned either on or off
  • Vertical sync “off” now performs as expected and Xbox players using this setting should experience smoother visuals.
    • While vertical sync “off” is improved, our team is still working to fine tune this and we’ll have more to share in a future game update.
Replays
  • We’ve fixed an issue introduced in v2.51 that did not allow older replays to function properly. Get back into the game and show us those highlights!
General
  • Players are no longer blocked from unlocking the "New Profile Who This?" achievement.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to receive a game invitation from a non-friend if the ‘Others can communicate with voice, text or invites’ privilege was set to ‘Friends’.
  • K.I.T.T. and Lamborghini Wheels are no longer in player garages who did not purchase the K.I.T.T. or Lamborghini Car Bodies.
  • Fixed the RLCS error 91 server error.
  • Fixed RLCS 2025 Decals appearing slightly distorted on several Car Bodies.

Rocket League® - Psyonix_Laudie

The Empire calls upon you! Star Wars™ and Rocket League are crossing over once again, and leading the charge is Car Wars. This is a new Limited Time Mode that requires driving your car as sharp as a TIE pilot to win!

Look forward to Star Wars Challenges, too, rewarding imperial items such as the Stormtrooper Octane Decal and TIE Fighter Topper. There are also new items landing in the Shop like the Darth Maul Porsche 911 GT3 RS Decal for driving on the dark side of the pitch.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Car Body with the Darth Maul Porsche 911 GT3 RS Decal — both available in the Porsche 911 GT3 RS + Star Wars Bundle.

Mark your calendars — this Rocket League Star Wars event runs from May 2 at 9 AM PT to May 16, 2025, at 9 AM PT!

Dark Side of the Force = Unnatural Abilities in LTMs
The 2v2 Car Wars LTM takes place at the Force Field Arena, a Star Wars-inspired twist on the Arena used for Rocket Labs’ Loophole! Fight for supremacy under the watchful eye of the hallowed Death Star.

To score, target the thermal exhaust ports at each end of the Arena. Luckily, precision isn’t everything, as the Spike Rush mutator will help ensure you hit your mark (unlike your ordinary stormtrooper). The spikes will get a flashy lightsaber makeover too!

Wipe out your enemies, all of them, in the returning G-Force Frenzy LTM! Debuting in last year's Mandalorian Mayhem event, G-Force Frenzy is a 3v3 mode that lets you unleash unlimited boost, cranked to five times standard power.

LTM Schedule
Week 1 (May 2 at 9 AM PT - May 7 at 9 AM PT)
  • Car Wars
  • G-Force Frenzy
Week 2 (May 7 at 9 AM PT to May 14 at 9 AM PT
  • Car Wars
  • Split Shot
Leave the Light Side Behind with New Challenge Rewards

You can unlock ten new items by completing Star Wars Challenges! Look like part of Vader’s legions with the Stormtrooper Helmet Topper and Stormtrooper Octane Decal, and prevent any rebellion among your team with the TIE Fighter Topper.

Of course, no item in Rocket League will grant unlimited power. But you can sure give off that impression with the Force Lightning Boost and Force Lightning Trail.

Also, trample the ground like you’re trampling the Rebellion with The Empire Wheels!

These are just some of the ten items, but there are more rewards beyond the ten. Complete the Play 15 Online Matches Challenge — repeatable up to five times — to unlock a Golden Moon Crate. Open it to get an item from the Nitro, Overdrive, or Elevation Series! And if you’re eager to accelerate your Rocket Pass progress, repeat the unlimited Win 10 Online Matches Challenge for 20,000 XP each time.

The world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles slices into Rocket League, bringing an all-new LTM, Challenge Rewards, and the Turtle Van!
Turtle Power! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe slices into the Rocket League arena again with new shelltastic stuff.

The Turtle Van Car Body with the Classic Turtle Van Decal and Turtle Van Stock Wheels.
Where the Ninja Turtles can be found, their favorite snack isn’t too far behind. Get hungry for some competition in the all-new Pizza Party Limited Time Mode!

Heroes never step away from a Challenge, and this crossover brings a ton of ‘em with totally tubular rewards like the Turtle Power Topper, TCRI Ooze Boost, and Shredders Wheels.

This TMNT celebration is a straight-up party, so get in the Party Wagon! The Turtle Van Car Body will be zooming into the Shop as part of the Turtle Van Bundle. Rocket League | TMNT spins into action from April 22 at 5 PM PT until May 1, 2025, at 5 PM PT!

Take a Piece Outta This Pizza Party!
What happens when you take air hockey, grappling hooks, and a large helping of hot cheesy goodness? You get Rocket League’s all-new LTM, Pizza Party!

In this 4v4 mode, the soccar ball is replaced with an extra-tasty pepperoni pizza. There’s no jumping either. (Master Splinter trained you better than that.) Instead, you and the rest of your ninja squad must use your trusty grappling hook to zip around the arena and hurtle that delicious puck into your opponents’ goal.

This Pizza Party is being delivered extra hot straight to the pitch on April 22 at 5 PM PT and will remain edible until May 1, 2025, at 5 PM PT.

Shell Yeah! - Unlock Challenge Rewards
The heroes in a half shell are bringing more than just pizzas to Rocket League, they’re also dropping a whole buncha Challenge Rewards — 11 of them to be specific!

Among these are four new Player Banners, one for each member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Show you’re the brains of your team like Donatello, become a fearless leader like Leonardo, boost the team spirit like the playful Michelangelo, or choose your own path like the rebellious Raphael.

Don’t worry if you can’t choose your favorite, because these four heroes also come together on the Turtle Power Topper! But you know what really oozes style? Well… ooze! There’s a whole bunch of it leaking out of the TCRI Ooze Boost and its matching Trail. If you’re less about sludge and more about tearing things up, look no further than the Shredders Wheels.

There are more accessories to unlock, but in addition to all 11, complete the Play 10 Online Matches Challenge to earn an Ooze Canister, which can be opened up in your inventory to unlock an item from the Accelerator, Triumph, or Zephyr Series. This Challenge is repeatable up to five times, meaning you can unlock up to five Ooze Canisters.

And don’t forget about the unlimited Win 10 Online Matches Challenge, which rewards 20,000 XP each time!

The Turtle Van Shifts Into the Shop
A really radical ride! Leave spectators shell-shocked with the iconic Turtle Van Car Body, which both looks and sounds the part with authentic Turtle Van Engine Audio. It hits the Shop on April 22 at 5 PM PT as part of the Turtle Van Bundle.

The Turtle Van Car Body with the Pizza Box Decal and Turtle Van Stock Wheels.

The Bundle also includes some sweet customization options that can only be described as bodacious, including the flavorsome Pizza Box Decal, graffiti-stained Vandalized Decal, and — for kickin’ it like it’s the 80s — the Classic Turtle Van Decal. You’ll also get a set of the Turtle Van Stock Wheels delivered straight from the sewers to your garage.

Esports Tokens will be replaced with Credits so that Credits are used for all virtual currency transactions across Rocket League's Item and Esports Shops.

    Hey all!

On April 22, 2025, at 4 PM PT, we’ll be replacing Esports Tokens with Credits so that Credits are the in-game currency for all virtual currency transactions in the Item and Esports Shops. This is meant to simplify the purchasing experience across both Shops. Esports Tokens are no longer available to purchase starting today.

Players with Esports Tokens remaining on April 22 at 4 PM PT will have their Esports Tokens converted to Credits, then the Credits will be boosted 10% and rounded up to the nearest 50.

Please note that the conversion rate of Esports Tokens to Credits varies by country. For example, in the United States, 1 Esports Token is worth 0.9881 Credits. So if a player in the United States has 1200 Esports Tokens, they’ll have 1350 Credits with the boost and rounding taken into account.

Starting April 22, the Esports Shop will be renamed the RLCS Shop. To kick things off in the RLCS Shop, universal Decals representing some of the teams competing in RLCS 2025 will be available. These will be the first-ever universal Decals based on RLCS teams! (As a reminder, universal Decals can be equipped on any Car Body except certain ones based on third-party IP.) Takeover Goal Explosions representing these teams will be available too.

This content and future content in the RLCS Shop will be purchasable only with Credits. We’ll announce the participating teams as we get closer to April 22!

Control Your Destiny with New Mutators
Why wait for a perfect utopia when you can create one NOW? (Or, you know… when patch v2.49 goes out.) On March 14 Pacific Time slightly before the Season begins, we’re introducing a range of new mutators that’ll allow you to make your own weird and wonderful experiences in Exhibition Mode and Private Matches.

Want the madness of multiple soccar balls? Go for it. Fancy dialing down the ball gravity? Sure thing. Score points for each demolition? Let the explosions begin. Here’s the full list of all the new mutators!
    • Jumps: Take to the skies by increasing the number of jumps you can do at once! Do a double-jump, triple-jump, octuple-jump… Or, turn jumps off entirely and keep the competition ground level.
    • Number of Balls: Why have just one soccar ball when you could have six? Choose between having one, two, four, or six balls in play.
    • Ball Gravity: Alter the ball's gravitational pull and let the mayhem ensue. Options include low, high, super, and good ol’ fashioned default.
    • Dodge Timer: Change the time allowed between dodges. Dial things up to unlimited and avoid ANY obstacle!
    • Possession Score: Shake up the game by allowing players to score points just for staying in control of the ball.
    • Demolish Score: Bring on the destruction! Allow players to score up to three points for each demolition.
    • Normal Goal Score: Go for the goal like never before. Increase the points earned for each successful shot in the back of the net!
    • Aerial Goal Score: Look out below! Increase how much you can score for each successful airborne shot.
    • Assist Score: Teamwork is the key to victory. Allow players to earn up to three points for each assist.
    • Enforce Territories: Get back on your side! This mutator enables the Split Shot wall, dividing teams across each half of the field. Players will be demolished if they touch the ground on the opponents' side.

Additionally, we’re adding new options for existing mutators! Here’s a look:
    Added options for Ball Type
    • Player Seeking

💥 Ping 💥: The Sound of an Almost Goal
You were that close! Whenever the ball hits the crossbar or goal posts, a ping will echo throughout the arena, making sure your teammates don’t celebrate victory prematurely. Better luck next time…

This change will go live March 14 Pacific Time with v2.49. Speaking of crossbar, Season 18 is celebrating the “Crossbar Queen” Athena with the free CROSSBAR QUEEN Player Title! Find this Title in the Shop’s Community tab from March 14 at 9 AM PT to March 21 at 8:59 AM PT. Her returning “Moment (Worlds Version)” and “Eternal” Player Anthems will be purchasable in the tab from March 14 at 12 PM PT to March 18 at 11:59 AM PT.
    Voice Reporting in Rocket League
Being a good sport never goes out of fashion. We’re expanding player reporting in Rocket League to include voice reporting in v2.49. If you play Fortnite, you may be familiar with this feature.

Voice reporting means in addition to being able to block, mute, and report other players, you will be able to submit audio evidence when reporting suspected violations of our Community Rules. This will help us take action against players using voice chat to bully, harass, discriminate, or engage in other inappropriate behavior. Learn more about voice reporting in our FAQ.

    Rocket Pass Premium
Your vehicle customization options are about to take a quantum leap! Advance through Season 18’s Rocket Pass Premium Tiers to unlock cutting-edge items and experience the next generation of automotive aesthetics.

Even if this Season were traveling to the past, Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack would still fit in with its clean look. Alternatively, with the more involved appearance of Azura, you can face the future boldly. (Not that you’d need to, because the future looks bright in Futura Garden!)

Let’s continue with something that couldn’t be more futuristic: neon lasers! With the animated Cosmological Decal, your car will look like a non-stop rave. If that doesn’t make you feel like the star of the show, shine like the soccar champion you are with the StarStud Boost.

The fourth state of matter may be too hard to understand in the present, but you can make it common knowledge in the future with the Plasma Ball Goal Explosion. If the geography of the cosmos is more your area of expertise, the Star Chart Goal Explosion might be more your thing!

Who says you can’t take an old friend with you to the future? (Or at least a new version of an old one.) The Pigeon 3000 Topper is here to make sure the pecking order stays the same against artificial forms of life like the Rocket Drone Antenna.

Like how Season 18 is a peek of a perfect future, the rewards mentioned above are just a peek of what the Rocket Pass holds. This Season’s Rocket Pass is piled high with rewards, with 70+ Tiers across free and Premium. Don’t forget to live in the moment with what you unlock!

    Season 18 Tournament Rewards
Hint: disco makes a comeback in the future! Get your groove on with some of the funkiest Tournament Rewards ever to mark a Rocket League Season: the Disco Ball Boost, Disco Floor Trail, and Disco Party Goal Explosion. Use this Goal Explosion to turn the whole arena into a disco party! But how about we take a step back in time? Step into the dark ages (meaning, before disco graced this world) with the Knighted Topper.

There are plenty more Tournament Rewards, so compete like your future depends on it!

Pack your trunk for utopia — Season 18 runs from March 14 ‘til June 18, 2025!
