Rocket League® - Psyonix_Laudie

The most wonderful time of the year in Rocket League is back! Frosty Fest is officially underway and running now ‘til January 3.

This year, we’re spreading the festive cheer with Challenges, wintry rewards (with some Golden Gifts thrown in!), and returning Limited Time Modes. It is the season of giving after all!

BREAKIN’ THE ICE: FROSTY FEST CHALLENGES AND REWARDS
If the season weren’t chilly enough, make it even colder with frosty accessories. Available until the end of the event, tackle 12 Frosty Fest Challenges to earn new Toppers, Antennas, a Decal, and more! Every Challenge has a reward for completion.

Is curling your favorite sport (besides Soccar)? Roll around the Arena with the Curling Stone Wheels. If you like keeping a spare, don’t leave the Curling Stone Topper behind!

Speaking of Toppers, use the Oh No Snowman Topper to fulfill a snowman’s melting wish of riding on top of a car. While the snowman sits atop, make it feel at home with the Mountaintop Octane Decal.

For completing one of the more difficult Challenges (Play 20 Online Matches), you’ll unlock a Golden Gift that pulls from the Impact, Secret Santa, and Accelerator Series. You can complete this Challenge up to five times, which means you can earn up to five Golden Gifts! 🎁

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS: RETURNING LTMS
A special time of year means special ways to play—the Winter Breakaway and Speed Demon Limited Time Modes (LTMs) are back for Frosty Fest.

WINTER BREAKAWAY (DECEMBER 13 - DECEMBER 20)

The Soccar ball gets subbed for a Hockey Puck in the Winter Breakaway LTM! Stay frosty while you throw down 3v3 on a snowy Throwback Stadium.

SPEED DEMON (DECEMBER 20 - DECEMBER 27)

Too cool to chill? The Speed Demon LTM is a lightning-quick variant of Boomer Ball with unlimited boost at double the power. With that in mind, expect plenty of collateral damage—but don’t worry about getting taken out too much. You’ll be back behind the wheel in no time with 1-second respawns!

There’s plenty in 2023’s Frosty Fest to keep you busy, so don’t get left out in the cold! Frosty Fest is back now until January 3.

Blog: https://www.rocketleague.com/news/rocket-league-season-13-hits-rewind-to-the-turn-of-the-century

The 90s and early 2000s, a time that was bold, radical, and most importantly: destined to return in Rocket League Season 13! Get ready for reminiscent nights at Mannfield—Season 13 kicks off December 6.

Here’s the 4-1-1 on this Season’s Rocket Pass Premium. Upon purchase, you’ll auto-unlock the Ace Car Body. Go up the Tiers to unlock other new items like the RC Antenna, CRT Wheels, Primo Car Body, yadda yadda yadda… (That’s right, Season 13’s Rocket Pass Premium has two different Car Bodies!)

Primo

LOOK FRESH AT THE FARM
They say the grass was greener at the turn of the century, and maybe there’s something to that. The Farmstead and Wasteland Arenas have grown grass for Season 13, and perfect for some nighttime nostalgia, it’s dusk over at Mannfield!

ROCKET PASS PREMIUM
Can’t go without your pager? Not enough neon in your life? Check out some of the rad items in this Season’s Rocket Pass Premium you can unlock by going up the Tiers:

Keep the information superhighway spinning with the Cyberspace Goal Explosion and create a retrowave with the takeover Pointbreak Goal Explosion. Whatever Goal Explosion you use, leave no diggity your team just scored.

In the heat of a match, you can’t demo a play before you make it—but you can remember the days of trying the demo disc of your next favorite video game. Sound the Demo Disc 20XX Player Anthem and relive the feel of playing a demo on your sixth-gen console or PC!

Speaking of music and discs, you wouldn’t want your mixtape CDs to get shuffled around in the car. So put them in a case with the Travel Case Topper! Keep your alt rock locked down.

All the rewards mentioned above are just some of the rewards you can unlock. This Season’s Rocket Pass is all that and a bag of chips, with 70+ Tiers of rewards across free and Premium. Make your Boost da (Neon) Bomb.

KEEP IT TIGHT TO EARN TOURNEY REWARDS
Remember goin’ to a restaurant for your birthday and getting a cool hat? Then stopping at the bubblegum machine on the way out? This Season’s tournament rewards let you relive those childhood (or adult) memories. Shiver timbers with the Sailor Hat Topper and pop off with the Bubble Gum Explosion. Also take the Orbital Octane Decal for a spin!

There are even more tournament rewards, so keep proving you’re better than aiight.

NEW: CROSS-GAME ITEMS AND TRADE-IN SYSTEM UPDATES
Cross-game ownership has arrived in Rocket League! Any item with the Cross-Game attribute will also appear in your Fortnite Locker if you play Fortnite using the same Epic Games account.

The first Car Bodies to get the Cross-Game treatment are Octane, Jäger 619, Cyclone, and the Lamborghini Huracán STO, along with select Decals for each, and the OEM Wheels. The Cross-Game attribute will be added to more items over time, so stay tuned!

Cross-Game items are also part of Rocket League’s Trade-In system, so you can trade in eligible Cross-Game items for one item of a higher rarity. Cross-Game items will have some additional trade-in rules—for example, only duplicates of Cross-Game items will appear in the Trade-In Menu until just one instance of the duplicate remains in your inventory.

The full list of Cross-Game trade-in rules will be included in the Season 13 patch notes, and these added rules will not apply to non-Cross-Game items.

OH SNAP! PLAY MENU CHANGES AND SEASON 12 COMPETITIVE REWARDS
The Play Menu's about to be as hard-edged as the era. As announced previously, the menu's getting a facelift in Season 13, featuring a squared-off design where each submenu will have a streamlined layout.

The new Competitive card lets you queue for six Competitive Playlists at once, while the Casual card has all-new Arcade Playlists and a Big Party Playlist. You can learn more about these and a ton of other Play Menu changes in our preview blog post.

Screenshot in English. Not final version - for illustration only.

Also, if you’ve been sweating it out in Ranked, Season 12 Competitive Rewards are in tow too. We’re dropping Goal Explosions for all eligible players, along with in-game Titles for Grand Champion and SSL players!

That’s what’s crackalackin'—Rocket League Season 13 runs from December 6 to March 5!
Rocket League® - Psyonix_Laudie

Hey all!

We wanted to give you an early look at some incoming changes to Rocket League's Play Menu next Season.

To start, the Play Menu is getting a facelift for the first time since Rocket League became playable for free in 2020. Featuring a new squared-off design, each submenu will have a streamlined layout which will help old and new players alike navigate through the Play Menu easier and more quickly.

Not final version - for illustration only.

Along with a fresh look, we are changing where some Online Playlists and other modes live in the new Play Menu. We are combining Competitive Playlists and Extra Modes Playlists into one new Competitive card, which allows you to queue for up to six different Competitive Playlists at once. Fulfilling a long-standing community request, you will finally be able to queue for modes like 3v3 Standard and 2v2 Hoops at the same time.

As part of this consolidation, we are going to alternate between Competitive Snow Day and Dropshot each Season. Next Season will feature Competitive Snow Day, the one after that will include Competitive Dropshot, and so on.

Not final version - for illustration only.

Big changes are coming to the Casual card as well, including two new Arcade Playlists. These will rotate weekly through Extra Modes like Heatseeker, Spike Rush, Rocket Labs modes, and more! Dropshot and Snow Day will also appear in the Arcade rotation whenever one is not an active Competitive Playlist, so expect to see Dropshot pop up next Season.

Along with these new Playlists, 4v4 Chaos is evolving into a new Big Party Playlist, rotating weekly between 4v4 Chaos and Knockout.

Not final version - for illustration only.

Exhibition Mode, Season Mode, and Workshop Maps will now live in their own Play Offline card, and the new Private Match card contains both Private Match and LAN Match options. Training has all the same options you know and love, just with an updated look.

Finally, we’re making a few additional quality-of-life changes to the Play Menu:
  • You can join an existing Private Match directly from Training or an Offline Match.
  • Load and launch a different Workshop map when in a Workshop map already.
  • When in a party, you can now see your Rank even when you are not the Party Leader.
While this covers what you should expect alongside the next Season, we’re not quite done with changes and additions to the Play Menu. Our goal in the first few months of 2024 is to give you even more influence over the modes that appear in the Arcade Playlist, which we’ll talk about more in the new year.

Along with new, different ways to play, we’re actively working on other quality-of-life improvements that touch on important community-driven topics, including smurfing and skill placement improvements. As we drive towards the next Rocket League Season and an exciting holiday season, expect to hear more on these changes and improvements in 2024. Thanks, everyone!

Listen, there’s only one Lightning McQueen. But thanks to the newest in Soccar simulation technology, you can have your very own precision instrument of speed and aerodynamics in Rocket League! Equip the Disney and Pixar’s Cars-inspired Lightning McQueen Car*, and you’ll be hoisting the Piston Cup in no time. The Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle also includes three race-ready Decals, the Ka-chow Goal Explosion, and more!

Speed to the kickoff—the Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle will be available starting November 7.

LIGHTNING MCQUEEN
Ahhhh, breathe in that new preset smell—this is the Lightning McQueen Car you’ve always wanted.

The Lightning McQueen Car is the very first in Rocket League to feature dynamic expressions! Lightning will look around the pitch while you cruise the Arena, then narrow his eyes in focus as you approach supersonic speeds.

With the Lightning McQueen Mega Bundle, you’ll be able to play as three different versions of the Route 66 icon. First up is the classic. With number 95 on the side and a flashy lightning bolt, you’ll be taking the winner’s podium with plenty of style to spare.

Life is a journey, so enjoy the trip. Once you’re off the race track, slip on the Cruisin’ Decal and savor a bit of well-earned rest and relaxation. Doc’s orders!

Being friends with The King has its benefits, and now that Strip Weathers has retired you can don racing’s most famous blue hue with the Dinoco Decal. Wish you could perfectly match your party’s colors in the Arena? You can! Since there’s both a red and blue Decal, you’ll be able to assign each to a team color in your Garage.

The whole world should know when you’re winning. Celebrate every goal with the Ka-chow Goal Explosion. Throw in the “Life Is A Highway” Player Anthem by Rascal Flatts, and they’ll have no choice but to get drivin’.

Of course, no champion race car is complete without a set of wheels to match. The red Lightyear Racing Wheels and blue Lightyear Dinoco Wheels are both tuned and ready for the pitch! Prefer an old-school look? The Lightyear Whitewall Wheels bring back memories of classic hot rods and roadsters.

The Lightning McQueen Car, Ka-chow Goal Explosion, and “Life Is A Highway” Player Anthem will also be available for individual purchase.

LIGHTNING MCQUEEN MEGA BUNDLE (2500 CREDITS)
  • Lightning McQueen Car (Dominus Hitbox)
  • Rust-eze Decal
  • Dinoco Decal
  • Cruisin' Decal
  • Lightyear Racing Wheels
  • Lightyear Dinoco Wheels

  • Ka-chow Goal Explosion

*Note: The Lightning McQueen Car can be customized with some Toppers, Boosts, Trails, and Goal Explosions, but not Antennas. This does not include branded items that have their own customization restrictions. The Lightning McQueen Car cannot be customized with Decals besides the Rust-eze, Dinoco, and Cruizin’ Decals.

The Lightning McQueen Bundle will be available starting November 7. See you at center field!

Blog Link: https://www.rocketleague.com/news/the-nightmare-before-christmas-brings-joy-to-haunted-hallows/

Everybody makes a scene on Halloween, and for this Haunted Hallows Event we’re spreading the holiday fear with ghoulish goods inspired by Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and Sandy Claws items are coming to Rocket League! Complete event Challenges to earn skull-rattling rewards, or test your courage as two Limited Time Modes emerge from the shadows.

Face your fears from October 18 to November 1.

Bone-Chilling Bundles

With the Jack Skellington Bundle, the world is your wicked wonderland. Squeeze into Jack’s iconic pinstripe suit with the Jack Skellington Octane Decal, or pretend you’re taking his no-legged best friend for a walk with the Zero Topper. Just please, try not to upset the Mayor.

Equip the Jack Skellington Goal Explosion and Jack’s skeletal grin will appear whenever you score, sending your rival team running in fear. If you’re looking for a soundtrack for this spirited season, the “This is Halloween” Player Anthem just might be your perfect pick!

Jack Skellington Bundle (1500 Credits)
  • Jack Skellington Octane Decal
  • Spiral Hill Wheels
  • Jack Skellington Goal Explosion
  • Jack Skellington Player Banner
  • Zero Topper
  • “This is Halloween” Player Anthem

The new Sally Decal isn’t just a miracle of scientific reanimation—it's also universal! You can pick one up in the Item Shop for 300 Credits. Oh, and don’t worry if it smells a bit sickly. That’s just the frog’s breath.

Beardy and Buggy

Trade your fancy carbon fiber for a burlap sack with the universal Oogie Boogie Decal, or grab the Oogie's Worms Boost made from a supersonic batch of wiggling worms.

Not feeling jolly enough? Lock, Shock, and Barrel have inspired the next item. Simply pop the Sandy Claws Topper on your car and let the merriment commence! Add on some Man-Eating Wreath Wheels, and soon you’ll be scoring scares like a pro.

When it comes to Halloween decorations, some people just can’t get enough. Listen, we get it. That’s why The Nightmare Before Christmas Mega Bundle contains every single item from the Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie, and Sandy Claws Bundles, plus the universal Sally Decal. It’s a scream come true!

Oogie Boogie Bundle (800 Credits)
  • Oogie Boogie Universal Decal
  • Oogie's Winch Wheels
  • Oogie's Worms Boost
Sandy Claws Bundle (500 Credits)
  • Sandy Claws Topper
  • Man-Eating Wreath Wheels
Challenge Rewards

Your trick-or-treating bucket will be full in no time when you earn Haunted Hallows Challenge rewards! For the witches out there, the floating eyeballs and squirming centipedes of the Creep Jar Player Banner and Avatar Border will have you feeling right at home.

Get creepy cute with the frankenblobby Bolt Head Topper, or equip the retro Vampire Teeth Antenna if you vant a bite of Halloween nostalgia.

Players can also earn up to five Golden Pumpkins by completing Challenges. Luckily, there’s nothing sinister hiding inside—just open them in your Inventory to instantly unlock items from the Turbo, Elevation, and Zephyr Item Series!

Spooky Cube

Hop into Farmstead (Spooky) Arena and smash that pumpkin! In the Spooky Cube Limited Time Mode, the ball has been replaced by a super speedy jack-o-lantern. You’ll need quick reflexes to chase down this ghastly gourd once it begins bouncing around the Arena on October 18.

Haunted Heatseeker

Tired of dribbling? Nothing a little possession can’t fix. In Haunted Heatseeker, you’ll find that a ghastly presence takes control of the ball, launching it across the Arena with even the slightest of touches. Be wary, for if your opponent manages to block this powerful shot it will bounce right back towards your own goal instead! Players who prefer tricks over treats might even choose to sneak across the Arena for a quick Demo.

Enter if you dare—the door between Halloween Town and Rocket League opens on October 18.
Rocket League® - Psyonix Devin
Player-to-Player Trading will be removed from Rocket League on December 5 at 4 p.m. PST.

We’re making this change to align with Epic’s overall approach to game cosmetics and item shop policies, where items aren’t tradable, transferrable, or sellable. This opens up future plans for some Rocket League vehicles to come to other Epic games over time, supporting cross-game ownership.

FAQ

Q: What do I do with my duplicate or unwanted items?
A: The Trade-In system for Core Items, Tournament Items, and Blueprints will allow players to continue trading in eligible duplicate or unwanted items to receive a random new item of higher rarity.

Q: What if I lent someone an item?
A: These actions are not supported by Psyonix and all trades are considered final. Our support team cannot help reverse trades.

Q: What about third-party trading websites or servers?
A: After December 5, there will be no way to trade items with any player or between accounts. Websites or servers advertising such services are fraudulent and have no connection to Psyonix or Epic Games.

Q: Will this undo any trades I’ve made in the past?
A: No, you will not lose any previously traded items when Player-to-Player Trading is removed on December 5.
