We bring glad tidings from occupied Lowangen! After orcs had pushed back our scouts in skirmishes again and again, the first caravans with new relief goods have finally arrived. The Svellt Valley has been rebuilt and repaired many times over, and you, dear adventurers, may now feast on what the peoples of Aventuria have given you.

We have a juicy package full of updates, improvements and fixes for you dearest adventurers! Most important is the fix of the dreaded Bloodscreen of death in the blood pinnacles, caused by a bug in our Engine Unity 5.6.2 which was only fixable with a major version upgrade to 2017.1. Big fix number 2 is a bug that prevented enemies of falling over in rare cases - this is bug is marked "busted" too. And there is a ton of detail adaptions, see for yourself:

General
  • Fixed bug importing Blade of Destiny characters. They were skipped when they had bolts in their hand.
  • Double-clicking items makes shopping easier
  • Examining weapons and armor at traders highlights characters that can use them
  • In the trader window, the item description is now displayed in the tooltip
  • The user interface is now scaleable (under Settings -> Graphic effects)
  • Cooking duration for all recipes has been completely revised (and shortened)
  • Introducing new weapon: Dwarven hammer
  • There is now a matching lower body armor for the deluxe dwarf chestplate
  • Crystal ball enchantments are now available for witches too (needs a special crystal ball)
  • Intro and main menu music finally obey volume settings
  • The characters in the character window were moved up and re more visible now
  • Herbs have become much more affordable
  • The prices of magic and healing potions were systematized
  • The green amulet now lights up when worn
  • The inventory no longer automatically closes when reading recipes
  • When the real salamander stone is found, the quest for the wrong salamander stone is automatically ended
  • A bug in the tutorial and the help has been fixed: Haggling is always done by the best character and not, as claimed so far, by the leader
  • The ingame character editor has been revised, various problems have been corrected

  • The interior of some of the temples is no longer tilted
  • Time is now passing on activities in the taverns.
  • The hostages are now better served in Lowangen

  • The Lowangen Orks don't dare to offend Uuz'Dornak - Great Sting
  • The market in Kvirasim and Gashok now opens more frequently
  • Temple of the Nameless: The numerical lock puzzle has been adapted and the number input simplified
  • Dwarfs cannot be lured into the pit bath under any circumstances. Sissies neither.
  • Finsterkoppen pit: The trigger size of the secret staircase has been reduced
  • Finsterkoppen pit: The lever with talent value 18 in hiding can no longer escape the gaze of heroes
  • Finsterkoppen pit: When the heroes fall down the steep ramp, they turn right back in the right direction
  • A lever in the pit now gives feedback and can reverse its effect

And a nice weekend to you all! After some minor problems arose after our Hotfix 1.01 and some old little bugs were still in there, we didn't want to wait too long and hereby present to you Version 1.02:


  • Checks for talents and spells inserted into the tooltips
  • Check for haggling at traders made a little easier
  • Fixed a missing translation in trader window
  • Modding: new modifier "nomoodcost", if a party member has this effect, no mood cost is deducted
  • In Kvirasim, Tiefhusen, and Lowangen, you can now read reports on the Third Orc Storm.
  • Trader kickout repaired in Lowangen
  • Aumond handling has been fixed
  • Ranged combat sound handling adapted, it should now match the volume to the other combat sounds
  • Class Effect of Skald "can ask people eternally" repaired
  • Unintenionally covers repaired in the portrait bar
  • Fixed the route planner, when turning around the planned route is now removed
  • Battle stance icons are visible again
  • Effecticons are visible again
  • Reworked representation of the class specialties in the status tab and at character generation
  • Various expired effects hide correctly now
  • Enemies now take their name tag display with them when they flee
  • Prevented items getting stuck when dragging them to an empty window area
  • Ansvell has a new, peculiar trader
  • Autosave after successful fight against the battle mages
  • A problem with the crank was fixed in the Finsterkoppen pit
  • In Finsterkoppen, witches and druids are no longer eyed suspiciously when leaving the mountain
  • In Lowangen there is less pushing and jumping when you don't belong somewhere
  • The tailor in Hillhaus now has a name
  • Several items now have their correct texts displayed
  • In the blood pinnacles, you can't help yourself to loot at the Gravesh shrine more than once
  • Fixed a Problem with the flame key chest and the amulet parts in the Temple of the Nameless

Due to a mandatory security update of our engine Unity (which only affected the editor side, no worries!) it will take several hours after this message for the patch to propagate to Mac and Linux, it is available at once for windows.

Version 1.0 is behind us, but as promised we will continue to work on patches, implement desired features from the community and eliminate annoying bugs. Here comes Hotfix 1.01, removing some serious problems that came up:

  • The class descriptions are now also available in the character sheet under "Status".
  • Steamachievements for various activities have been repaired and will now be unlocked correctly
  • Steam Cloudsaves can now be activated in the Save / Load dialog.
  • Digital Deluxe: The special Dwarven armor is now available in the Finsterkoppen Pit (Caution: In existing savegames, where you have already been in the pit, this does not work!)
  • The modding map editor is now correctly localized and no longer switches to german when opening.
  • The problem with the "disappearing camp" has been fixed.
  • In the character generation view, there are no more isolated life- / astral-energy bars.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Gashok Lynchmob scene to be aborted.
  • Fixed that the broom of the swamp-witch continues to fight indefinitely after their death.
    In addition, the witch now has a permanent fire bane, making her invulnerable to fire (spells).
  • Gashok: The burnt-out mill is now also triggerable by a location-based trigger.

after almost exactly nine months in Early Access, we are leaving EA and go into Release as of today. As a little thank you for all of our wonderful Early Access Supporters, the Digital Deluxe DLC is automatically included for all Buyers so far. It includes additional recipes, an alternate starting party with Aventurian Legends, beautiful city maps of Lowangen and Tiefhusen as well as the remastered Soundtrack in MP3 and FLAC formats.

Thank you all for supporting us, it was a wonderful journey so far, and we are looking forward to all the goodness to come!
