Re:Legend - Newt
Hi guys! We hope that everyone is having fun so far and enjoying your time capturing all the new Magnus over the week. We know that there's a lot of reports regarding the bugs but please rest assured that we will be addressing all of them as we move forward. We remain fully committed to fixing the game and the 1.0 release is just a beginning of the game so please bear with us a little longer. With that said, here's a roadmap showing what's coming up next and we plan to continue updating the game until the end of 2023 if everything goes according to plan.

As you can see from the image above, new content will be added all the way to the end of 2023 and while new content are coming, we will be working on bug fixing as well. Regular updates for the game will be rolled out from time to time to address the existing issues so you can enjoy the new content without any issues.

Next up, we believe that many of you have spent the week playing the game and we would like to see an image of your favorite Magnus! There's over a hundred different types of Magnus in the game and it will be great if you can share your screenshots with us regarding your preference.

You can join our community Discord and post your best Magnus screenshots in the #spoilers channel and we will be picking some of them and showcasing them in the upcoming update that's coming next Monday! Feel free to showcase and share your favorite catch of the week and we shall share it with the world! Here's the link to our community Discord:

- "Someone in trouble" quest indicator does not appear on the map once arrived in the correct area.
- The user is unable to interact with the Blip located in Vokka Town.
- Removing a held item into storage does not remove the item from the players hands.
- There are collision issues with Magnus and stairs in different areas of the game. (Frigid Outpost) (Dust Storm)
- The scrollbar of the "option" menu goes to the opposite direction when using click and drag.
- The Volcano Biome meteors are hitting the player after teleporting to other areas of the game.
- A hitch occurs when opening the credit menu on a fresh boot.
- Multiplayer clients who joined Kairoot festival will be stuck in "Waiting for player..." forever.
- Updated Credit Scenes.
- Chopping fully grown trees in the farm will sometimes cause players to be stuck.

We have also added a new in-game bug reporting system and you can activate it just by double tapping the top left corner of the screen and it should pop up. Click "Send report" and you can insert the details about your encounter and it will be sent straight to us! This will speed up our bug fixing significantly so we would like to thank you in advance for helping out.

That is all for today's update and we look forward to seeing your favorite Magnus screenshots in our community Discord! :)

Re:Legend - Newt
Hello everyone and welcome back to our monthly update for May 2021. First up, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and support thus far for Re:Legend. This month we would like to explain what is currently going on with the project and how things are going.

As you all have known, we are currently in the process of overhauling the multiplayer system for Re:Legend and have effectively caused a delay in the release date of the game. We are deeply frustrated about this as well and we sincerely apologize for the delay of 1.0 and we know many of you were excited for the release of 1.0.

The multiplayer system currently in place is causing major instability between players outside of Asia and we have identified the problems within the system and also came to the conclusion that a simple fix won’t be able to achieve the stability that is acceptable.

We are working closely with 505Games to address this issue and the solution so far is to have a multiplayer structure overhaul. Our previous plan was to restrict the maximum number of players to 2 players but with 505Games’s assistance, we should be able to achieve 4 player multiplayer in a much stable state.

Re:Legend is our baby project and we really want it to be released in the best state that it can be and that is why we made the hard decision to overhaul the multiplayer system and delay the release. We are currently working with the fine folks from 505 Games to push the game towards the goal.

As of right now, we are also planning to release the console versions together with the 1.0 launch so don’t worry if you’re looking forward to the console version, we got you covered! We’re truly sorry if you’re disappointed with the delays but believe us, we’re equally frustrated as well. The last bits of the development is usually the hardest part as the pesky bugs can be difficult to spot and eliminate.

We are trying our best to deliver Re:Legend in it’s best possible state so we hope that you will understand our circumstances and be a little bit more patient as we promised the game is gonna be released within this year. More about the release date will be announced in the near future.

That is all for this month’s update and we would like to thank everyone for the continuous support, bug reports and translation suggestions from the community. If you have more feedback on the changes we have done, feel free to reach out to us. Together we can continue to improve Re:Legend!

Re:Legend - Newt
Hello peeps! Welcome back to our monthly update for April 2021. We hope it is going well for everyone as we continue on deep into the year 2021. It has been quite a ride for us here and we have worked on and released multiple major contents as the months pass by. Today however we have news on the state of multiplayer in the current version of Re-Legend.

As you all have known, our team has been working hard optimising the multiplayer experience in Re-Legend and has shifted a lot of focus on squashing bugs pertaining to multiplayer. Our team has also done multiple test runs with many different variables based on internal reports and community reports and proceed to find the root of the issues of many in multiplayer.

When we started to focus all of our resources on multiplayer, the situation had many visible improvements and multiplayer was stable from our internal testing and some community feedback. But we have noticed that stable multiplayer sessions only happened within Asia and some countries but are still unstable in North America and Europe as a whole.

That threw a wrench into our plans of releasing Re-Legend 1.0 as soon as possible but we were extremely worried that the state of multiplayer will sour the experience because that is what we promised, a working multiplayer experience.

After careful consideration, we have decided to overhaul the multiplayer system so that we can deliver the full satisfactory multiplayer experience on the full game launch and make sure it is a product that we all can be proud of. Part of the problem with the state of the current multiplayer network infrastructure is due to not having a team in North America and Europe to work on the connectivity issues as we are based in Asia. Network infrastructure of western countries and Asia might also differ and this meant that more time is needed to work on multiplayer.

This means we are pushing back the release of 1.0 due to all the work that needs to be done on multiplayer and we will release a new roadmap of the overhaul process of Re-Legend’s multiplayer soon and the release window will still be within 2021.

Welcome back to our monthly update for March 2021! First up, we hope you have been enjoying the Localisation Beta that we have released last month and we would like to thank everyone in the community who has come forth with suggestions for better translations in their native language. You guys are awesome! Today we would like to share some of the things we have been working on for the past weeks and upcoming content of the game.

To start things off, we would like to show you some of the challenges that you might face in the Frigid Tundra Biome! As you set off to explore the Tundra, you will come across some challenging boss fights as you solve the quest on the Island. We will be showcasing the boss fight without spoiling the story so don’t worry about spoilers. The Goblem excels at physical close range attacks and a mighty lazer beam so make sure stay alert and don’t get hit! Here’s a little gif of him firing his laser.

Next up, you will come across a dark and sinister boss, The Harprine, while you’re going through the Frigid Tundra. She is a new Magnus variant that you are going to face in the new biome so we’ll leave the exploration to you. She is specialized in wide mid range attacks so get ready to dodge its skills to defeat it! Another thing to note is that she deals physical and magical damage so be sure to get both of your defences up or you will be shredded!

While we’re on the topic of Tundra content, here’s a little sneak peak of the most crucial part of the biome itself:

What happened here, and is that… the Guardian? And who is this guy? What happened to both of them? You’ll find out more about them as you play through the main quest of the Tundra Biome! :)

Moving on to the next topic, we have observed that the difficulty of the bosses you encounter in Re:Legend have been quite mixed and some are a little difficult, and some are a little too easy compared to the challenge they should have posed at that given level.

To counter this issue, we had taken the time to rebalance all of the bosses and mini-bosses that you will encounter throughout the story from the Prunperor in Coastal to the Agriz in Desert. Even those little mobs that you will be encountering throughout the quest are re-balanced so they should be more in line with the expected strength of the player at the level they are expected to encounter them. We hope that the game will be more enjoyable as we tweak them to smoothen the gameplay.

Lastly, we would like to talk about multiplayer improvements on the Beta branch and release date. We have done a lot of internal testing and working on squashing as many bugs as possible and also working on improving performance for multiplayer.

We have updated the Beta Branch on Steam with our new multiplayer improvements and the stability of the multiplayer within the same country seems to be stable. However, there were mixed reports from testers around the globe when it comes to cross country connection. There are cases where players are able to play smoothly without disconnections for the whole day while some experienced disconnection several times within an hour. We know that our estimated release date was within Q1 but due to this reason, we felt that the multiplayer can still be improved upon and we’re not satisfied with the current stability of the game across long distance. We cannot call it 1.0 when some of the players are still not able to enjoy the game properly when they are far apart. We understand that due to the pandemic, many people are separated so we want to make sure that the experience that we deliver will be satisfying instead of frustrating. We’re sincerely sorry about moving the 1.0 date and please be patience with us as we work towards delivering a smoother experience of the game.

Do join our Discord as we will continue to update our mini progress in the channel and interact with the community. We would also urge more of you to try out the multiplayer in the Beta Branch and inform us about your experience of the game. It would help us greatly if we can receive useful feedback regarding the stability of different regions around the globe.

That is all for this month’s update and we would like to thank everyone for the continuous support, bug reports and translation suggestions from the community. If you have more feedback on the changes we have done, feel free to reach out to us. Together we can continue to improve Re:Legend!

Re:Legend - Newt
Hello everyone, we are back for our monthly Update for February 2021! On this update, we would like to share what we have been cooking for the past 6 months and it is pretty exciting as 1.0 is approaching. (REALLY SOON)

First off, we would like to recap on the recent release of the localisation patch that was released through Re-Legend’s Steam Beta branch and make sure to check it out if you missed out on the patch! Anyone who owns the game right now on Steam will have access to the beta branch and there are a total of 10 languages available and if you find any translations that could be improved in your native language, please drop us a message and let us know!

For those of you who are not aware of how Steam’s beta branch works, here’s how to access it:

1. Right click Re:Legend in your Steam Library
2. Select Properties and click the BETAS tab.
3. Insert "RelegendLoc2021" code to unlock the branch.
4. You shall see Localisation Beta in the option.
5. Download and patch the game.
6. You’re good to go!

To change the language of your preference for Re-Legend, you can navigate to the Options Menu which is accessible in both Main Menu and Pause Menu. Navigate to the Language section and click on the language that you wish to play Re-Legend on.

The 10 languages that are available:
  • English
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Thai
  • German
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian

Most of the translated content should be in the game right now but please send us reports or feedback if you find any issues with the translations.

Next up, we would like to show you a sneak peak of the two biomes that are coming your way soon during the 1.0 release. These biomes are the opposite of each other and offers a totally different experience compared to each other. Of course, the story that was left off in the Everdust Desert will also continue with these two biomes as well. Don’t worry, we’re not gonna spoil the story for you. ;)

First off, the Frigid Tundra is a freezing land full of snow and ice in Ethia. This biome houses a lot of unique Magnus that have adapted to its surroundings. Some of them have thick fur coats while others have learned to wield the elements of ice as part of their arsenal.

The Frigid Tundra is beautiful and despite it having snow all year round, flora seem to be flourishing and there are talks about beautiful settlements and ruins to discover. So put on your fur coats and have fun exploring the Tundra!

The next biome we would like to show you is the Volcano biome! The land of the Ruined Kingdom is full of volcanoes and lava while volcanic smog fills the land. The Magnus here too have adapted like the Tundra biome but instead of thick fur coats, they have heat-proof scales or even wield the flames and heat as one of their own ability.

The land of the Ruined Kingdom is what’s left over of its former shadow and as its name implied, it’s haunted and reeks of adventure! Be sure to gear up with your best gear because the adventures here will be a dangerous one.

Last but not least, we would like to say that a ton of content is coming in 1.0 and it won’t be long before you can take on more bosses, join Guilds and help out new friends in new quests, discover new Magnus including Magnus Fusions, Marriage and just much, much, much, much more.

That is all for this month’s Update and we would like to thank everyone for the continuous support, bug reports and translation suggestions from the community and together we can continue to improve Re:Legend!
