Here is the list of changes and fixes from the September 16, 2025 maintenance.

Battle Pass

- Resolved an issue that caused some players to obtain the bonus Battle Pass rewards without the purchase of the rerun pass.

- Resolved an issue that caused several quests to be missing their intended rewards.

- Some quests have seen their rewards slightly adjusted.

(This is a very minor change, currently only a few quests have had their rewards adjusted due to rewards being too high or too low for the difficulty of the quest.)

Bug Fixes

- Removed the “Freelancer Skin: Asha Catari” item from the Endless War achievement.

(The item is presently unusable, if you have this item in your mailbox, please reach out to our customer support with subject “Endless War” to get your mail removed).

- The following elements of the Dimensions UI are now functional:

1. Cross Shard (Weekly)

2. Cross Shard (All Time)

(Should you experience any issue with these dimension tabs, please let us know as soon as possible on Discord!)

- Resolved an issue that prevented crash reports from players from being delivered.

Miscellaneous

- The health points of the Community Artifact Pinatas have been multiplied by approximately ~40x

(The Artifact Pinata will have effectively far more health points than players have seen so far, making them more durable and giving players a higher chance to accumulate contribution.)

New Items

Three new mounts have been introduced with the September 16, 2025 maintenance.

- Goblin – Poison Dragon

- Tidal Dragon

- Dune King Dragon

These mounts will become progressively available in the following weeks.

Hello Ascended!

Lightning can be heard reverberating throughout Telara, and the Mechs are back, causing the earth to tremble and creating mayhem wherever they set their gaze! Will you help defend Telara from these bulky armored enemies?

That’s exactly what we thought, Ascended. Sharpen your sword and your senses and strike back now! Starting today, take the siege to the Mechs for a chance to earn great rewards!

Head over to Sanctum (/setwaypoint 7380 3077), Meridian (/setwaypoint 6124 5231), or Tempest Bay (/setwaypoint 12944 11579) to accept Daily Quests and join Warfronts. Use the Looking For Group (LFG) tool to participate in Expert Dungeons, collect Mech Components, or join the zone event!

Completing all the daily quests will reward you with a total of 65 Chaos Motes per character every day!

The quest Defender of the Elements will take you to Vostigar Peaks, Silverwood, Freemarch, Shimmersand, and Stillmoor on a mission to defeat fearsome Mechs.

Stay sharp and bring your allies, Ascended; you may need them now more than ever!

Head over to the RIFT Store to get rewards for Credits or use your collected Chaos Motes at the event NPC to redeem amazing mounts, rewards, pets, and much more!

Now is the time to strike, Ascended. Mechs will strike on September 5, 2025, and will retreat on September 8, 2025, 23:59 UTC; be sure to keep them at bay until then before they wreak too much havoc!

Battle Pass 

 

- The Tendrils of Blight Battle Pass has been enabled. 

(Please refer to the website post for more details on start date, duration and rewards.) 

 

Miscellaneous 

 

- Resolved a visual issue with the Werewolf Cape. 

- Resolved a visual issue with the Cloak of the Pirate King. 

(The cape would incorrectly display for Male dwarfs and appear completely invisible for Female Eths.) 

 

- Fixed a localization error for the GC 2025 cape mail. 

- The Halo spells obtained through newer cape items are now persistent when the player logs out. 

(Should any of the Halo spells be active when the player logs out, they will still be active when they log back in.

We welcome you to this month’s dimension contest, Winter at the Beach!  

 

Summer’s heat may not be for everyone, and in times like these, we need refreshments and a change of scenery!  

That’s right, this month’s dimension contest is all about blending two themes, summer and winter, to fight off the heat! 

 

How do I participate?  

 

1. Get into RIFT and pick any of your favourite dimensions.  

2. Decorate your dimension with the summer and winter themes in mind.  

3. Take one or more screenshots of your creation and submit them in the #Winter-in-summer channel on the official RIFT Discord server, or use the #RIFTWinterNSummer25 hashtag on X or Facebook.  

4. Be sure to include your Character Name, Shard, Region and Dimension Name.  

5. You are good to go!  

 

Are there any rules?  

 

1. Feel free to use an existing dimension; however, do note that fresh and new decorations are always encouraged!  

2. Your entry must adhere to the summer and winter theme.  

3. Content that may be inappropriate or offensive is strictly forbidden.  

4. Image editing is allowed as long as the entry is vastly visible.  

5. Not including a Character Name, Shard, Region, or Dimension Name will make you ineligible to receive a reward.  

 

What are the rewards?  

 

The top three (3) participants will receive the following rewards:  

 

1st place – Dimension Contest First Place + 3000 Credits   

2nd place – Dimension Contest Second Place + 2000 Credits   

3rd place – Dimension Contest Third Place + 1000 Credits  

 

The entry period will conclude on September 30, 2025, 10:59 PM UTC, and winners will be announced on October 7, 2025.

Get ready for a season of blight and plentiful rewards, Tendrils of Blight is coming back! 
 
What can I expect during Battle Pass: Tendril of Blight? 
 
– Progress through 30 levels by completing daily and weekly quests and earn rewards. 
– 4 random Daily Quests (+2 for Patrons) per Day 
– 3 random Weekly Quests per Week 
 
Found a quest too difficult or perhaps too bothersome? The reroll feature is there for you! 
 
– 30 levels of rewards, split between Free, Premium and Patron! 
 
Battle Pass Season 2 Rerun Duration? 
 
The battle pass will stick around for a generous amount of time! 
 
Start: August 19, 2025 
End: January 26, 2026

Rewards

The Tendrils of Blight features the fantastical Wings of Life mount at level 30.
With this wonderful set of wings, throughout your bountiful journey, you may also expect bonus items and supply crates, as well as the artifact set “Like a Leaf on the Wind”, which grants the Leaf on the Wind title!

While Tendrils of Blight is here for a long time, it is not best to dally, head in-game on August 19th to get those quest done!

Seasonal Events 
 
- Fae Yule is now scheduled with the proper dates in-game. 
The 4-hour minion missions have been enabled for the duration of Fae Yule. 
 
- Autumn Harvest is now scheduled with the proper dates in-game. 
The 4-hour minion missions have been enabled for the duration of the Autumn Harvest. 
 
Bug Fixes 
 
- Prismatic Planar Earrings and Prismatic Planar Earrings buffs for all callings now behave correctly when the character dies and respawns. 
(Previously, the buffs would disappear upon death, and the player would need to re-equip the earrings to allow the buffs to activate once more.) 
 
- The new capes from the July 22, 2025, patch are no longer dyeable. 
(When trying to dye the primary dye channel of any of the capes, the textures would disappear.) 
 
- Adjusted some images that looked distorted in the RIFT store. 
 
- Resolved an issue with the Object Distance setting not applying correctly. 
(RIFT’s object distance regulates itself with RAM usage, depending on the user’s machine capabilities – with this change, we have effectively increased the overall limit before RIFT self-regulates and reduces the object distance to favour smooth performance over pretty graphics. 
 
For low-end machines, Object Distance will continue to work as it has till now. 
Higher-end users will now see higher Object Distance more often due to the increased RAM limit usage cap – assuming the setting is set to the maximum of 180) 
 
New Items 
 
Three new Ursin mounts and four new Tiger mounts have been introduced. 
These mounts will become available in RIFT in the following weeks.

If you’re heading to the race, here are a few tips and tricks:

✨ Stay within the marked path.
🐦 Hit all the white checkpoints throughout the race.
🚀 Use all the green boosts to increase your speed and leave your opponents behind!
🐌 If you prefer speed over slow, avoid all orange traps!

Remember, a clear mind makes the goal clear. Stay focused, and you too can win the race, Ascended!

Budgie Madness will start on August 8, 2025 and will end on August 11, 2025, 23.59 UTC, so hurry up and collect as many of those feathered cuties as you can!

Fixes and changes:

The following abilities now function in the Celestial Lands area:
– Guardian Flare
– Defiant Flare

Planar Charges are required for the abilities to work, as well as a valid target.

• The help buttons now redirect to active and useful websites.
  By clicking the “?” icon, the following will now link to these websites:

– Search Issues: RIFT’s FAQ on Customer Support’s website.
– Contact Game Master: Website page to create and submit a ticket to Customer Support.
– View Petitions: Direct link to RIFT’s official feedback forum. (EN only)

• The Call To Action shop for Hellbugs now displays correctly when the related Call To Action is active.

• Several bug fixes for the Riftbound Ursin mount:

– Solved an issue where, on lower graphical settings, the Riftbound Ursin would appear with abnormal colors, therefore not being “our beautiful purple bear” under these conditions.
– Solved an issue where the Riftbound Ursin would load more textures than it should.

• Fixed the incorrect behaviour when using the /who command whenever a player is alone in any area. Fixed an issue where the “+” symbol would not display correctly when delivering artifacts to any artifact set.
