Simplified Chinese is Delayed

We've made the painful decision to delay our Simplified Chinese localization at Early Access launch. Looking at our community outreach efforts and translation quality coverage, we don't feel confident we can deliver a good enough experience for Chinese players by September 16th.

For players who've followed our streams and blogs, you know we want to build great collaborative experiences for friends to enjoy together. China has one of the most social and passionate gaming communities in the world, and we think Voyagers of Nera could be a great fit! That's exactly why we want to get this right.

By delaying, we hope to find a great local partner who can help us both market the game effectively and ensure the translation quality meets players' expectations.

Our Updated Plans

We're planning to officially launch Simplified Chinese support in December, alongside a major content update and Steam Winter Sale discount.

Launching into Early Access first and demonstrating player interest will help us connect with potential partners who can ensure we deliver both a localization and experience that Chinese players will love.

We apologize to players who have been waiting for Chinese support, and thank you for your patience as we work to bring Voyagers to players around the world in the best way possible.

Waterpark Simulator - Hai Cayplay

First of all in behalf of our tiny team we want to say thanks. Never in our wildest dreams 2 weeks ago did we expect that our game still in Early Access would be so well received in such a short time.
It's been a wild ride and all of you motivate us to work even more on the game and bring you the best experience possible.

Some quick highlights that happened in the past 2 weeks (Most we still can't believe are true)

  • Reached almost 7000 players, playing the game at the same time

  • Over 20 builds of the game made

  • Over 2.5 million hours of streams watched of our game

  • So many streamers playing the game that we couldn't visit them all like we had planned (but we did try to say hello and chat to all we meet in the streams)

  • Caseoh meet Queso in the game and has been playing us in his streams (and we love every second of it)

  • Valkyrae joined in our madness and is now the sound of our seagulls

There are truly no words to thank you all for this and we really want to do our best to give you the game you deserve.

Beta testing

Related to this we are happy to announce that we are opening our beta testing branch soon. This branch will allow you to try new features before the public release (and yes this includes multiplayer when it's ready to test) and helps us reinforce the stress testing that our QA team already does. Twitch Integration

And for all of those that love being of part of the streams they are watching we have now released the first version of our Twitch integration. More fun features will come but for now if a streamer has Twitch integration active you can join their game via commands

  • !visit to claim an upcoming visitor to use their displayname,

  • !hireme to claim an upcoming staff member to use their displayname

BUG FIXES
  • Visitors should no longer get injured on the smaller slides

  • Restocker doesn't unlock too soon in the research tree

  • Visitors no longer get bored while using slides and diving boards

  • Fixed an error where Discord rich presence would break if Discord was restarted in the middle of a game

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the "The Bigger They Are…" achievement not to register

IMPROVEMENTS
  • Graffiti can't be cleared by player while the vandal is painting it

  • Staff can't clear it as well in the same conditions

  • Improvements to trash placement on the map

  • "The Bigger They Are…" achievement image was updated to reflect the 15 m needed

  • Improved the sound levels on the seagulls (Raegulls as we call them)

  • Improved visitors and staff paths around the park to avoid getting stuck

  • The city has been improved in terms of movement for NPCs

NEW FEATURES
  • New highlight feature in the main menu to display the latest big new feature added

  • New Twitch integration
