We gain some great new players that found a lot of important bugs and crashes that needed to be fixed ASAP.

◈ One of the doors, sealed with magnetic locks, was able to be open.

◈ Fixed issue with some of the plants gaining collision when are spawn back by the passage of time.

◈ Fixed a crash when player triggers a dev-mail tick, when accessing the main menu without internet.

◈ Fixed bug where player was able to duplicate mods in the inventory.

◈ Fixed a bug where Metos Cloud was adding Minor Bleeding Debuff, rather than Lesser Poisoning.

◈ Fixed a bug where if player opens inventory, journal, or personal journal, and then closes it using the buttons above rather than assigned key, they interact key stops working until said window is not open again.

◈ If bot turns off while player is still in control (for example, when energy runs out) the UI of the bot has a chance to not be properly removed from the player screen.

◈ Fix for spawners spawning metoses, each time player uses quick load while standing near the spawner.

◈ Visual improvement to weapons projectiles.

◈ From now on, a player can go to sleep even at 80% Fatigue, rather than a minimum of 60%.

◈ Removed still in the works Polish localization. To prevent Steam auto launching the game in not yet finished Polish language.

In this patch, we’re addressing several issues reported by the community, but most importantly, we’re introducing two significant improvements to the game.

Enhanced Input System Implementation

Due to unforeseen changes made by the Unreal Engine, we had to transition to the new Enhanced Input System sooner than expected. This shift required considerable effort and time, but as a result, the entire game, including tutorials and the save system, has been successfully adapted to the new input framework. This change lays the groundwork for future partial controller support, which we plan to implement soon.

While additional testing and UI adjustments will be necessary to enable partial controller support, we’re pleased to confirm that the core foundation is now fully prepared.

New Object Deformation System

We’ve also introduced a new Object Deformation System aimed at enhancing visual transitions of grass, bushes, and trees, providing smoother and more natural visuals. This system offers performance improvements, reducing GPU load by up to 13% in some cases.

Although the system may require further visual adjustments, especially on 4K displays where objects render differently, we will address this in upcoming updates.

We hope that the next patch will be 8.1 with the next batch of new content. But if needed, we will release a small patch with fixes if any problems will arise with the new input or deformation systems.

◈ Decrees bot energy consumption when moving at speed below 70% of its max speed from 0.2 per second to 0.1 per second.

◈ Decrees bot energy consumption when moving at speed from 0.3 per second to 0.2.

◈ Optimized NPC spawn system.

◈ Minor optimization to the in-game fog.

◈ Optimization to game assets, lowering the game size by 6%.

◈ Removed Enhanced Atmo-Growbed from base building at Base 2 and base near Givinx.

◈ Improved Save system file generation, lowering its size by about 20%.

Another batch of fixes and improvements. With the addition of a few new items.

At the release of Merging Patch part 8 we mention that we are adding a two-way communication between the player and the dev-duo. We would like to inform that this system is now finished and fully operating.

We planned to implement a small UI text scaling system in this patch, but it will be pushed a day or two, to fix UI size adjustment for 4k screens.

Another batch of fixes and improvements. Also an update to the fix made in the previous patch. Specifically Mining Outpost. This fix may have reset the trigger for activating the solar panels and ore extractors, which will require a second activation from the player.

We are also making a minor change to the Ore Refinery, from now on it will accept 500.5 on each ore slot. This is a temporary solution to a near future quality of life feature, which will allow the player to set the slot to a specific ore. This will help with swiftly moving the ore from inventory to ore refinery.

In this patch we are fixing a lot of issues reported by our community, we are also starting to slowly implementing Quality of Life changes, one of which is the Immersive UI disable button.

In-case someone wants to remove special effects from handheld items or intractable screens such as MMC or CCC, now it is possible to do so in the main menu > options > Game & UI.



For the moment, this system affects all of the intractable items in the game, but there are a few none intractable objects that will be added to the list at a later date.

Thank you all for the bug reports and detail explanations. This patch will fix major problems found by the players.

Upcoming Accessibility Update: Special Effects Toggle Options

Some players have reported that certain special effects on-screen can be too strong or distracting. To improve accessibility and provide a more comfortable experience, we are working on implementing new options to allow players to adjust these effects to their preference.

In an upcoming update, we will be adding two separate toggle options in the UI section of the Player Options menu:

1. Hand-Held Effects Toggle – This option will allow players to disable special effects on hand-held items, such as tools, weapons, and scanners.

2. Text-Interactive Effects Toggle – This will disable special effects on all intractable objects that display text, including terminals, holographic displays, and data logs.

These additions will provide more flexibility in customizing your visual experience, while keeping the core atmosphere of the game intact.
