To celebrate going Free To Play, we are giving everyone who originally bought the game all in-game music tracks!

In-game music is the jukebox you carry around in the beginning of the match. By choosing your own music, you set the theme for the whole match. Unless you get eaten by zombies of course.


Pandemic Express is a zombie escape game. You play as a human, but when you die, the match isn’t over for you — you come back as a zombie to hunt down the rest of the humans.

Your goal as a human is to loot up and get on a train, then ride on that train out of the zombies’ lair to safety, while the zombies attack you from all the directions, pulling the humans one by one away from the train.

You won’t survive alone, so it’s best to stay in small groups. Ideal scenario — you and your mates get into a van and drive it to a weapon drop location to get the best guns. Then, once you’re battle-ready, get on that train and defend it.

Guns have two purposes — defense and utility/parkour. You can bounce off any surface using your guns — just walk up to a wall and fire a burst at the right angle — and you’ll get up that wall, all the way to the roof. There are also double jumps and bounce pads — all of this combined allows an experienced player to traverse the map like a ninja, hopping from a rooftop to a tree crown to another rooftop.

After you die, you get to choose one of the three zombie classes. Each has a unique flavor — one allows you to swallow humans and spit them out away from the train, another one — to mimic humans, blending in with them to deal a devastating blow.


The asymmetrical PvP provides fun for players of all skill levels — if you can’t fend off a bunch of zombies on your own yet, you can have fun chasing veteran survivors as a zombie and get rewarded for it.

Movement is one of the most crucial skills in Pandemic Express — learning how to bunnyhop and gun-jump efficiently can make all the difference in a match.

Pandemic Express has a very tight-knit community. They hang out in our Discord, create amazing fan art and animations, and recently some community-made emojis made it into the game!

Pandemic Express, the survival shooter where hordes of player controlled zombies hunt down survivors, is going free to play this Thursday!

We are doing it in the simplest way possible: you can unlock in-game items such as Emotes, Jukebox Music, and Skins by playing the game, or simply buying stars to get them faster. No effect on gameplay whatsoever. Except everyone will know your taste in music.

Everyone who bought the game up until Thursday will get a special set of items for being on our zombie train early.

All owners of the game will get an email from us notifying of the transition.

Long time no see! This is the last update for Pandemic Express this year, but not the last one ever.

Today we're introducing achievements, new emotes and music to the game, and we'll kick off the next year with some more exciting changes, so stay tuned!
