is a virtual gallery MMO. You’re supposed to slowly build up your own gallery, employing improbable architecture and the help of an AI that learns what art you like. I don’t do that. I spend all my time hopping into other people’s galleries instead, never knowing what’s around the next art corner.

I may have lost my family to a freak accident involving a sentient Edvard Munch painting, but I still find Occupy White Walls enthralling. That’s not the first time I’ve used that word to describe Stiki Pixel’s free-to-play virtual gallery MMO, currently in early access. It likely won’t be the last. Especially not if they keep adding features like those included in the recent Cambrian Explosion update, such as an overhauled tutorial, between-gallery portals and unsettling clockwork art vendors.

Come with me, and you’ll be in a world of wonderful imagination. I’ve left virtual art gallery MMO Occupy White Walls alone for far too long, but that break has meant I now get to step back into a world brimming with new art and architectural possibilities. There’s an odd appeal to constructing and decorating your own little space in an MMO – Occupy White Walls takes that concept, builds on it and discards all else. Released into early access today by Stiki Pixels, it’s a free-to-play (entirely so at present) creative sandbox with an artistic focus. Players construct, light and decorate your own little art galleries, choose what pieces to display, how and where, and hopefully earn cash to expand further from visiting NPCs and the tips they leave. From the bit I’ve played, it’s rather relaxing. An early trailer hangs below.
