  • Added a config toggle to stop NWNX VM functions from aborting scripts when NWNX isn't running

  • scriptcomp: disabled a for loop optimization where the compiler would sometimes generate code that caused an infinite loop
  • ASSERT prints are now opt-in via a DEBUG log flag
Removed
  • Removed useless log reporting duplicate fire and forget attack animations in the queue

  • Fixed a regression where the DM JumpAllPlayersToPoint command did not work
  • Resolved a bug that would make some model parts appear as rotated when rendered in the toolset
  • Quickbar slots with equipped items are saved correctly during polymorph
  • VM: EffectPolymorph: nSpellAbilityCasterLevel now is consistent across both ResistSpell, GetCasterLevel.
  • Fixed a character creation crash when having a lot of portraits
  • Fixed being unable to select your PC when player-party-control is enabled and can-click-self-while-walking is disabled

  • Masked Lady now displays correct dialogue in temple if Agaza killed before dream sequence
  • Blizzard can now be asked to cast level 6 magic
  • Added fix for PC getting stuck by bar in Wolf's Pelt Inn
  • Marcos now correctly gives PC reward for using diplomacy to finish quest
  • Rewrote several item and creature descriptions
  • Fixed a bug where Blizzard wasn't removed from gameworld after abandoning PC
  • Fixed bug with multiple copies of Blizzard
  • Ring of the Reckless now functions correctly
  • Fixed several typos

  • PC can now rest in Bremen exterior
  • PC can now give Blizzard spell books while she is in the party
  • Henchmen now have more tactical usefulness accessible through dialogue

  • Fixed incorrect speaker tag in Aarin Gend/Kettia conversation near the end of the module
  • Gauntlets of Weapon Skill now work correctly
  • Fixed hit box/selection issue with Staff of Arctus
  • Silvenius Crim now gives PC the correct number of items
  • Fixed blocked path in Targos
  • Fixed critical bug caused by attacking sleeping Legendary Mammoth
  • Fixed incorrect journal entry in Gem Mine of Termalaine
  • Fixed additional monsters incorrectly spawning in Bremen's Run
  • Battleaxe of Speed now has a correct +1 enhancement
  • Legendary Crag Cat is now immune to animal empathy and mind-affecting spells
  • Blizzard's clothing is no longer effectively a Robe of the Archmagi
  • Dwarf prisoners are no longer present if related quest is not yet finished

IMPROVEMENTS
  • Adjusted the difficulty of various enemies, most notably the ice trolls
  • Adjusted several enemy encounters
  • Adjusted henchmen builds to be more useful
  • Kemp now awards 1,000 xp and 5,000 gp upon completion of Convincing the Council
  • The PC can now ask Sharwyn to cast spells via dialogue
  • Added potions of clarity to frozen tundra area
  • Added studded leather and a small shield to the crates in Lara's house
  • Added large Shield +1, chainmail +1, and alchemical fire to Targos area
  • Graendel's crafted treasures are now already identified when awarded
  • Added signposts to several areas
  • Added acid flasks and alchemical fire to Petyr merchant
  • Added fire arrows and bolts of fire to Graendel's
  • Provided clearer directions in journal entries
  • Keira now hands PC a key to the upper floor as well as a spare room key
  • Legendary Penguin moves to another area if quest not completed by a certain point in story

It's THE time to check out community content in NWN:EE if you haven't already! Enhanced Editions of Siege of Shadowdale & Tides of Tethyr modules by Luke Scull received beefy updates!

To access the modules, just launch Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition and go to New Game -> Community. You can install them right inside the game, with no external downloads.



Siege of Shadowdale Enhanced Edition 1.5
  • Updated Curated Content release.
  • Henchmen now follow PC through doors/caves in Southern Farms and Old Skull areas.
  • Fixed blood splatter on drow altar in Underdark - Lower Level.
  • Implemented tavern store in Old Skull Inn.
  • Removed Confusion spell from an instance of Jhessail missed in the previous update.
  • Fixed erroneous "continue" in Mourngrym's dialogue.
  • Reduced frequency of drow encounters and made minor adjustments to some.
  • Henchmen can now be asked to identify equipment.
  • Berliad can now cast some cleric spells through dialogue.
  • The spell area of effect indicators added in 8193.35 now displays correctly.
  • Removed Jhessail's Confusion spell, which would occasionally cause faction issues.
  • Adjusted Elminster's spawning location in The Old Skull to reduce the risk of breaking dialogue.
  • Rolled the module back to an earlier version of the Toolset. The module should now run on mobile devices.

Crimson Tides of Tethyr Enhanced Edition 1.4
  • Updated Curated Content release.
  • Arrk journal entry should now always be correctly removed at the end of Part 1.
  • Added correct speaker tag to Black Talon conversation.
  • Only Salidar is now bumpable in the Temple of Gruumsh to avoid graphical oddities.
  • Shadow Fiend is now correctly removed during the orb cutscene.
  • Increased size of Solar.
  • Updated Sythillis model and fixed crash with 8193.34 (mobile build). Huge thanks to Buddha!
  • Added new portraits for Zaranda, Haedrak, and Gamalon courtesy of Faerie Wizard.
  • The hill giant in the prelude no longer grants a huge amount of XP to the PC.
  • Enemies, including dead enemies, will no longer repeat lines upon perceiving the PC.
  • Removed a feat from S'Reek that would cause him not to turn hostile on game version 8193.4.
  • The spell area of effect indicators added in 8193.35 now displays correctly.
  • The Five can no longer accidentally trap the PC in the Temple of Gruumsh.

Thank you for all your feedback on the last patch. Engineers from the NWN community worked hard and released a hotfix to reported issues.

Fixed
  • Fixed client AoEs sometimes adding duplicate objects.
  • Fixed a bug where the client objects appear to be frozen in place until the game is restarted.
  • Fixed learning a stacked scroll making the remainder of the stack unusable.
  • Fixed a crash that happens after several loadscreens on some Linux systems.
  • Fixed the bug report message pointing at the wrong URL.
  • Fixed the MacOS binaries not containing the aarch64 build.
  • Fixed screen capture tools like OBS and Steam not being able to read the full framebuffer content.

Changed
  • Improved the AV warn message.
  • Reverted movement teleport fix because it was resulting in jerky WASD movement for some players.

Highlights
  • New HDR-bloom postprocessing effect accumulates overlapping effects more naturally and makes intense colors bleed into the surrounding pixels.
  • Improvements to the gameplay UI, such as toggling object highlight by double-pressing TAB.
  • Significant performance improvements across the board, both on servers and clients.
  • Many new and improved scripting functions, including support for synchronised audio playback and improvements to the scriptable UI.
  • Over a hundred bugfixes, including several notorious 20-year-old bugs, such as area objects sometimes showing up too late.
  • Script compiler is now open source and available as a standalone tool at https://github.com/niv/neverwinter.nim.
