Looking at the Future

First of all, the Route 59 team would like to give a big thank you to all of the players who have enjoyed and supported Necrobarista since launch. It has been amazing seeing all of the positive feedback the game has received, and it's really helped out the team over the past year.

Final Pour is intended to be the 'final' major update for Necrobarista. We're very proud of it and believe that it matches our original vision for what we wanted the game to be. Of course, never say never, but this will be the last major update for the game in the foreseeable future.

It's been a wild ride over the past 7 years of development and the whole team will be going on a short and well deserved break after this launch. Rest assured that this won't be the last you hear from us; we've been cooking up some pretty cool things here in the studio that we cannot wait to share when they're ready :)

Until then, we hope you enjoy Necrobarista: Final Pour!

Come join us in our celebration of Necrobarista: Final Pour's launch with a live developer stream!

We'll be showing off the new Studio Mode by having one of our developers commentate as they put together a scene on the spot.

We'll also be around to answer any questions you have about the game, and to ramble on about miscellaneous anime trivia in general (SHAFT fans please stop by).

See you soon!

G'day! We've got something special for you today: a major narrative content addition, at the low, low price of... zero dollars. This update is titled Walking to the Sky, and brings a beautiful and heartwrenching story with it, following Tuan and Hannah as they explore the Terminal and forge a powerful friendship. Or maybe something more than that. You'll have to play to find out!

Walking to the Sky is the second of our three major content updates - the next, ▓ev▓▓▓ D▓▓, will be releasing sooner rather than later.

The new episode can be accessed via the title screen after completing all episodes of the main story.

G'day! Today marks the release of a major free update to Necrobarista, titled The Midnight Interlude. This update, the first of three planned content additions, brings a great new feature to the game: a concept art gallery! This feature piggybacks off of the memory collection system, unlocking a unique piece of Necrobarista concept art for every memory. If you're interested in the design process behind our fascinating characters and scenarios, don't hesitate to jump back into the game and check everything out!

The new Memories screen can be accessed from the pause menu. Go take a look!

Thanks for all the love, y'all. We've got a bunch more cool stuff on the way - if you're interested in sneak peeks, be sure to check out our Twitter, where we like to sneakily tease upcoming content.

Also, if you appreciate our free content updates, or just appreciate us in general (🥰), perhaps consider leaving a Steam review! The Steam algorithm heavily depends on honest reviews from players like you to expose games to new players, so it's always a great idea to leave a Steam review for an indie game you enjoy.

Until next time - stay caffeinated, folks!

It's now been a few days since Necrobarista's PC launch, and we've been absolutely swamped with your impressions, your fan-art, your screencaps, your memes, and—most importantly—your love. Releasing a game that you've been working on for five years is a pretty big deal, and we're so glad to finally be able to share Necrobarista with the world. We can't thank you enough for the support, but as a sign of our appreciation, we'd like to announce...

Necrobarista will be getting FREE post-launch DLC!

That's right - Necrobarista will be getting a bunch of gameplay and story additions, with the latter focusing on side characters who appeared briefly during Necrobarista's story. Maddy's story is finished for now, but if you were wondering about those troublesome teens Tuan and Hannah, or the secretive and sultry Samantha, or that guy from the OP with the waistcoat and cigar, wonder no further: we'll be telling those characters' stories as well. Starting later this year, we'll be releasing several(!) DLC chapters at no extra cost, telling side stories set within the Terminal featuring these characters. Stay tuned for more info!

What's Next?

We're currently still working on optimizing the game for a broader range of setups, and broadening the configuration options available to players. Two patches have been released so far (as well as a smattering of hotfixes), and a third will be releasing today.

Simultaneously, however, our content team is working on the free DLCs. The first one will be purely gameplay oriented, with a rework of the [REDACTED] system and the addition of a [REDACTED]! If you're interested in the development history of Necrobarista, this will be a cool one.

After that, we'll start to release details of the story DLCs. Stay tuned! We're thrilled to have the opportunity to share more of Necrobarista's world with you.
