Narcosis - Chenvy

And now for something completely different...: The writer and lead VO actor of Narcosis are set to spin-up an all-new, narrative-driven story set in a deceptively utopian future: AI Confidential.

Watch the trailer here, then read on for more info!

Artificial Intelligence, Real Problems.
You are Makenzy Turner, an affable RoboTechnician employed by AI megacorp, Indelligent Solutions.
With your trusty assistant ARI, use high-tech tools and old-fashioned empathy to mend everything from broken parts to broken hearts.

Like Narcosis, AIC will feature an intricately-crafted narrative and top-notch VO performances... and may make you a little misty-eyed...

...Unlike Narcosis, the game features a cast of quirky, lovable characters to get to know (and - possibly - pull their plugs), a sprawling narrative packed with tough subjective choices and subversive humor, and... a unique and intuitive emoji-based conversation system.

If this tickles your fancy, we hope you'll follow, like or wishlist and come along for the ride - we're still in the early stages (demo coming... soon!), but for now the future looks pretty damn bright...

Narcosis made its Steam debut a little over two years ago, and while the game continues to be purchased, played and streamed every day, we're eager to get it in the hands of even more players. With that in mind, we've permanently lowered the price from $19.99 (U.S.) to $14.99, with a corresponding chagne for all other regions, as well.

We continue to be grateful for the thoughtful comments and positive responses from gamers around the world. If you haven't had a chance to check out what surprises lay beneath the surface, there's no better time than now...

Hello everyone,

We have good news, the last update of the game finally made the DLC files available for all of you, check out the "DLC folder" launch options for the game in your steam library for an easy access (more info on that here ).

Some of you already noticed this, but we wanted to be extra sure and not give you false hope again. The associated steam page with a description and track list will be up soon, but you can already enjoy the game's soundtrack, read the Surviving Oceanova book, or listen to the full Open Air interview!

Thanks again for your patience and your support :)

Hi everyone.

Many of you reached out to us to point out that you couldn't find the anniversary DLC content that we've announced.

Following on that we found out that while our internal tests ran fine to update and access DLC, for a public release we needed an additional approval from Valve, which we're since waiting on.
It shouldn't take long, but in the meantime the DLC will remain inaccessible.

We'll keep you posted on that matter and tell you when the DLC is available as soon as it is up.

Apologies from all of us, hopefully that will get sorted out quickly.

Narcosis debuted one year ago today, so as a 'thank you' to all of you who've taken this journey with us — and those still to come — we've updated the Steam edition of the game with some very exciting extras...

First up: "Raptures of the Deep: A Journey into Narcosis," 15 ambient tracks inspired by our deep-sea survival story, including the eponymous closing theme from celebrated composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).

Also included: "Hell or Highwater: Surviving Oceanova," survivor Kip Mattas' official, first-person account of the catastrophe that captivated the world's attention on the Feb 21, 2021. Previously available only via Amazon, it's now included with the game.

Finally, we've also included the entire accompanying radio interview with Mr. Mattas on Open Air, now downloadable for your on-the-go listening pleasure.

For those of you interested in seeing how deep the game's narrative threads go, we hope you'll enjoy these 'supplementary materials,' which — in conjunction with the game, itself — comprise the "complete Narcosis experience."

Thanks again, and remember: if you've enjoyed your time with our debut title, we hope you'll take a moment to spread the word, or leave a review. Narcosis is a small fish in a mighty big sea, and your support makes a difference.

Greetings, dear divers...

Since Narcosis launched (nearly a year ago!) we've received quite a bit of praise, and not a few criticisms. In particular, there's one key level midway through the game that's a little less... explicit in its instructions, as to where to go, and how to get there. Those of you who've played it may remember the eighth level - fittingly called "FOLLOW PROCEDURE" - in which the Survivor finds himself (even more) lost and directionless, after an... unexpected encounter.

Having read your feedback, and watched dozens of streams, we got the gang back together to try and make this particular section just a little bit easier. Narcosis is - at its dark heart - a survivor's story, and we hate to think that some of you might opt not to reach the (bitter? sweet?) conclusion, on account of some poor game balancing.

If all that is too cryptic, a transcript of the change log is pasted below. Nothing too spoiler-y, but it's redacted, just in case...

Whether its your first time playing, or if you're going through again to try and uncover some of the many, many secrets we've stashed deep beneath the sea, we hope you'll enjoy the journey, and share your thoughts with us.

Finally, the one-year anniversary of the game's release is approaching. With that in mind, we've got a few more exciting announcements incoming... So watch this space!

Change Log:

+ Changed start point
+ Changed blinking light depending of that new position (it disappears in the desert... That's normal)
+ Changed some fishes' paths
+ Added new trigger for spider in the desert
+ Added some path to go to the other side
+ Added anemones glowing in order to lure player to the other side
+ Changed a bit the slide of the volcanoes to better trap player
+ Made easier to climb the new way from the volcano to the exit

Thanks to everyone who's played Narcosis so far; we're so grateful for your support. Now, a quick question for those who have completed the game:
  • What would you like to see in a "Special Edition," if such a thing were possible?
  • Are there any rough edges that really stuck out?
  • Questions left unanswered?
  • Extras you'd like to see?
Hope you'll share some thoughts, but - please - keep 'em spoiler-free!

(P.S. in case you missed it, there's an {LINK REMOVED}, but you'll want to hold off on reading it until you've beaten the game, for sure...)
