My Time at Portia

My Time at Portia is getting a frontier-themed follow-up, My Time at Sandrock, which will launch via an early access version in March 2021.

Before that, though, you can support developer Pathea Games via a Kickstarter campaign for My Time at Sandrock, which is live now.

Pathea is asking for $100,000 over the next 27 days to help work on the game - which is already looking polished.

SOULCALIBUR VI

Humble has announced that the early unlock games in the December Monthly Bundle are Soulcalibur 6, Yakuza Kiwami and My Time at Portia.

It's another trio of solid picks after last month's incredibly strong group of early unlocks. Of the lot, Yakuza Kiwami seems like the biggest steal.

The Yakuza series has grown massively in popularity in recent years. If you've been interested to see what Kazuma Kiryu's bizarre antics are all about, then this bundle is the perfect place to start as Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first game.

My Time at Portia

Publisher Team17 has announced that village life sim My Time at Portia, developed by Pathea Games, will be leaving Steam Early Access and launching in its Version 1.0 guise next week, on January 15th.

My Time at Portia entered Steam Early Access just shy of 12 months ago, in January last year, and its charmingly idyllic island life adventuring, which blends elements of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, has been generally well-received.

It opens with your arrival on the island of Portia, where, after a few formalities with the local Commerce Guild, you're encouraged to set about restoring your father's dilapidated workshop out in the fields. That's just one goal to work toward though and, since it entered Early Access, My Time at Portia has steadily expanded with all sorts of new events and activities.

My Time at Portia

Developer Pathea Games' idyllic, Harvest Moon-inspired island life sim My Time at Portia is now available on Steam Early Access.

A little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit Stardew Valley, My Life at Portia opens with your arrival on the titular island, eager to begin the restoration of your father's dilapidated workshop. As is usually the way with these things though, that's more of a rough starting point than an absolute goal, and you're pretty much free to do as you please once you've settled in.

There are local townsfolk to meet, help, and even romance, and an entire island to explore. You can gather materials, craft equipment to expand and decorate your homestead, explore sunken ruins, shop, go adventuring, grow crops, raise animals, and generally fill your days with the kind of soothing busywork that makes these games so consuming.
