  • Added a "Drop All" button to the inventory bag.
  • Inventory bag item options now appear by hovering the cursor instead of clicking.
  • Fixed issue where infinite seeds could be stored in the inventory bag.
  • Fixed missing images on inventory bag items that were dropped and then picked up again.
  • Reduced Adventurer’s dungeon time from 24 minutes to 10 minutes.
  • Adjusted Adventurer pathing to run toward the teleportal instead of directly to dungeon locations, eliminating navigation to faraway dungeons.

  • Improved accuracy of the anvil minigame.
  • Fixed Mohamed’s tools for sale missing grips.
  • Fixed an issue where a specific weapon bought from Mohamed would vanish after opening the crate.

Hey Blacksmith's,

I've updated the main branch (and Alpha) to 0.1.2.056.
0.1.2.049 has been moved to "Old Branch".

Patch Notes

  • Fixed issues with custom orders generating strange item combinations.
  • Fixed an issue where Spearmen would not request any items and would create invalid, broken items when a repair request was accepted.
  • The price of repairable items you choose to cancel will now be based on the value of individual components rather than a flat rate.
  • Fixed a missing guard entry in the Expedited Delivery Service (EDS).
  • Adjusted prices for grips and guards across the board. Weapon sale prices should now better reflect the cost of purchased parts from Geoffrey’s store or EDS.
  • Fixed an issue where players could not go below 0 Copper. Players can now go into debt, making it more difficult to make purchases until the debt is repaid.
  • Customers will no longer provide broken weapons if you lack the funds to purchase them after canceling an order while the weapon is in your possession.
  • Fixed an issue causing infinite plank spawns.
  • Removed the "Press any key to begin" requirement from the main menu screen.
  • Fixed infinite planks being generated on the cutting workbench.
  • Fixed EDS spawn location when purchasing a larger shop.
  • Fixed an issue where the "For Sale" sign would return after purchasing a new shop and loading a saved game.
  • Removed the ingot option from the advanced smelter to prevent quality exploits. Ores must now be smelted into ingots using the basic smelter.
  • Increased customer wait time by 30 seconds when requesting a shield/weapon combo.
  • Fixed an issue where customers requesting a repair could be given a weapon with a different grip and guard than the original.
  • Fixed an issue where repaired weapon heads would no longer be recognized by customers if disassembled multiple times.
  • Fixed an issue preventing polearms from being recognized by customers.
  • Increased torch brightness in the shop.
  • Fixed missing images on paintings.

Hey Blacksmith's,

After viewing comments from my recent update post for 0.1.2.055, I've decided to keep 2.0 available for players who have access to 1.0 for the moment. I understand that it would be a slap in the face for players that were waiting for 2.0 to be the successor of 1.0 and anyone that recently purchased 1.0 to access 2.0.
For the time being, I'll continue to deliberate on what to do with 2.0's future on this store and whether or not to create a new store page.

I apologize for any confusion and frustration this might cause for some of you.
My Little Blacksmith Shop - Dasius
Hey Blacksmith's,

I spent the last month trying to get the Alpha version up and running again and thankfully, this time, I was finally successful. Looks like all that time writing 2.0 was well spent. I was able to learn a few tricks with debugging more complex issues.

For the next updates I'll be focusing on nothing but bug fixes, changes and minor additions for this branch before porting it to the main branch. I will no longer be adding any more major features to this version since feature creep was becoming a problem and it was becoming never ending. I apologize I never got too add all the promised features for this version.

Unfortunately, I will also remove version 2.0 off this store page at the end of March and create a new Steam store page instead.

This update is only on the Beta branch. If you would like to play on this version,
  1. Right-Click on "My Little Blacksmith Shop" in your Steam Library.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Click on the Betas Tab.
  4. Click the drop-down menu and choose "alphatest". This will download the new update.
  5. Click close.

  • Fix possible issue with items falling thru shelves.
  • Cubby holes are now moveable.
  • Move wooden grips options to top of saw workbench.
  • Cubby Hole added to saw workbench.

My Little Blacksmith Shop - Dasius
Hey Blacksmith's,

This update focuses primarily on fixing bugs with a few additions and changes.

Important note: Horses might still have issues with being reset when entering your save. I was able to stabilize the issue but I didn't test it extensively. If you purchased one and you need to exit your game, try to have the horse near your shop if possible.

Additionally, for anyone needing to view the Roadmap.

If you'd like to download the unstable version:
  1. Right click on the game in your Library.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Navigate to Betas on the left hand side of the the window that opened.
  4. Left click on the drop down menu next to Beta Participation and select "Unstable".
  5. Close the window.

Patch Notes

**Additions/Changes**

  • Reading Home Maker DIY book will show as owned when viewing the same book in stores. So that you don’t accidently purchase the same book twice.
  • Adjusted the process for crafting weapon components from metal bars. The quality of your hammer now determines how many strikes are needed based on the metal bar’s quality. For example, the default hammer has a quality of 10. If you strike a metal bar with a quality of 5, only 2 hits are required. However, if the metal bar has a quality of 13, you will need 4 strikes to shape it into the desired weapon component.
  • Items you sell to the merchants will be available for repurchase in the buy tab.
  • Added option to donate 1,000 and 10,000c coin to the Town Hall.
  • Added few more mining nodes throughout the world including Mithril and Adamantine.
  • More landscape edits.

**Fixes**

  • Fixed an issue where quickly opening and closing the inventory would break the camera when headbob is disabled.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would sway left and right when headbob is disabled.
  • Improved character rotation for a more natural feel with headbob enabled. The character will no longer glitch into the camera when spinning too quickly.
  • Adjusted male character animations when holding items like a torch, positioning them slightly out of the player’s field of view to prevent obstruction.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the creation of certain metals like Tin.
  • Fixed issue with customer holding on to their coin purse when forced to leave the shop. They will now drop in on the floor.
  • Adjusted anvil ui to follow the player at slightly further distance.
  • Buying in stores should properly update stock amount.
  • Merchant items stock now update server side. So if a friend buys or sells something in the stores, you’ll be able to see the stock update.
  • Should no longer be able to mount a horse when you die.
  • If you remove a weapon from sale that has a high price and the customer wants to barter, the exclamation above their heads will be removed.
  • Customers will leave the shop if they get frustrated with a barter.
  • Fixed issues with the reputation system. The max reputation for the next level wasn’t properly adjusting if you leveled down when losing reputation experience. Additional issue was if you went below 0 experience at reputation level 1, the experience value would set itself to the max experience value. So the experience value has been clamped to no longer try to subtract if we’re already at 0 experience at level 1.
  • The Delivery Man should now be better able to deliver to your hard to reach areas.
  • The Delivery Man should no longer linger around if for some reason he was unable to deliver your package.
  • Fixed issue with Clothing Merchant being stuck in ground.
  • Fixed issue with being able to walk thru your shop while riding your horse.
  • Fixed issue with one of the minigames not showing up on loaded games if completed.
  • Fixed issue with being able to sprint infinitely.
  • Fixed issue with being unable to complete a few of the puzzles.

Hey everyone,

I made the decision today after monitoring user feedback and engagement that it's best to sunset version 2.0 unstable build from 1.0 Steam store as it was not well received by the community. Trying to make 2.0 similar to the first one was a mistake on my end and it shows that I did not understand what you enjoyed. I apologize for that.
I'll remove 2.0 at the end of February for the few of you that would like to play it a bit longer.

Additionally, because I am no longer able to update and support 1.0, I've taken it out of Early Access. I'll leave the Steam Store page up for those that still want to buy and play 1.0. I'll continue to monitor feedback for the next course of action.
(I'll take another look at the 1.0 files and see if I can fix the cooking pot spawning in the ground, although no promises.)

I'm still deciding as what to do with 2.0 since it doesn't seem to be well liked. I did put 2 years or so into making it so I don't want to abandon it. I'll consider building a new Steam store page if enough people want it, otherwise. I might drop development on it entirely.

On that note. Thank you everyone for buying and playing the game. It was stressful but fun working on this project and I would not have been able to get this far without your support. I apologize I was not able to implement everything on the list. I should simplified the list.

Take care.

Hey Blacksmith's!

Notable changes and additions:

I disabled access to the skill menu so I can do more work on it. In it's current state, I shouldn't have released it so early.

Added new building blueprints, allowing you to create short and wide arches.

You can socket crystals you find into pommels with a crystal socket.

Metals can heat up and cool down when not exposed to fire. Metal bars coming out of the smelter will be heated and begin to cooldown as well. Be sure to build a forge to heat up your metal bars.

Patch Notes

  • Temporarily disabled access to the skills menu for further development. You will still level up as normal.
  • Added a resource requirement display when looking at building blueprints, showing what’s needed to complete construction.
  • Increased backpack size to 12 slots, doubling its original capacity.
  • Introduced metal heating and cooling over time for added realism.
  • Added two additional sales displays for your shop.
  • Introduced two new large blade designs.
  • Added movable plank and log stack piles. *(Hold “E” on any plank or log to create or remove a pile. Use “V” to move the stack like any other large object.)*
  • Added two new wall arch blueprints for more building customization.
  • Introduced crystal socketing for pommels, allowing socket customization.

  • Fixed building-to-building snapping issues when placing new blueprints.

  • Resolved issues with the map, including:
    - Inability to zoom in.
    - Keyboard buttons interfering with map functionality in map view.
  • Fixed an issue where the anvil item selection screen displayed no options for grips or guards, causing creation attempts to fail.
  • Resolved a bug where invisible items were created when no item was selected in the anvil menu.
  • Fixed an issue where horses would not reset their position when using the reset rideable button.
  • Resolved an issue where canceling animations during woodcutting or mining would lock the character out of performing those activities.
  • Fixed certain large objects that can be picked up (”V” key) to no longer snap to everything other than valid snapping positions. For example, planks will not snap to logs and vice versa as well as weapon racks snapping to weapon racks.
