Moss Destruction - Error 404
Hey everyone!

My name is Giorgio, I’m a marketing and community guy at Feardemic, the publisher that had worked together with Shotgun With Glitters to bring you the minimal retro horror adventure The Padre!

If you have been following the news, you know that we have been working for a while on a brand new chapter of the adventures of Padre Alexander, a top-down rogue-lite shooter with base defence elements called One Shell Straight to Hell. This time, Padre got a sleeker look, dozens of new guns, and prepared an entire book of one-liners.

Speaking of Padre, we are happy to inform you that this Friday, August 28, at the 2020 Feardemic Conference, we will reveal the newest gameplay trailer of One Shell Straight to Hell, with an incredible surprise at the end – we don’t want to spoil too much, but it has something to do with a collaboration with a very famous horror series...

Join us today at 1:00 PM PT/ 10:00 PM CEST on any of the following channels to see the conference live:

Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Feardemic
YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/c/Feardemic
Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv/feardemic

PS: don’t forget to wishlist One Shell Straight to Hell...

...and to join the Shotgun With Glitters Discord server to talk with the developers about their current works, or just to have a nostalgic chat about Moss Destruction ;)

Hello dear Moss people,

It's been quite a while since our last announcement, but rest assured, we have not been sitting around with our hands folded. We do have some pretty intresting things going on behind strictly closed courtains (wink-wink).
Among the other, supersecret things, we've been also working on Moss Destruction. Lots of you've been reaching out and told us what you did or did not like about the game. We are here and we heard you, so here's whats new in

UPDATE 1.4 "BEAMUP"

  • Solved the issues of the reported softlock situations, where the exit portal sometimes was unreachable

  • Solved the issue of reported freezings and crashes on load screen.

  • Solved the issue of texts and graphics sometimes not filling the screen properly

  • Cleaned out enemies from the shop

  • HUD got rescaled, to provide a more fitting view

  • Some improvements were made on visuals to pass on crucial information in a clearer way - like the damage on the miniboss Hypershield Worm's shield

  • Leaving through the exit portal now has a long planned beam-up effect

  • As we got lots of reports about stability issues, we generally improved and optimized the game

If you ever encounter an unpleasant issue in the game, please reach out here on the dedicated thread, via contact@shotgunwithglitters, on out Discord server here: http://shotgunwithglitters.com/discord or on facebook before giving Moss Destruction a thumbs down! It is most likely that we can solve the problem at hand, however, we are a small, indie team and as for such, it does take some time on our side to get there. As we gain credibility by how people rate our games here, this means a lot to us. We are willing to correct all our errors and mistakes and thus are grateful if you let us know about them.

Thanks you for all the support you guys are giving us, keep being awesome and stay tuned for more!

    Cheers,
    The SwG Team

Firstly, let's celebrate together with a neat discount: Moss Destruction is going on sale with 35% off! Grab the game and a copy for a friend as the 2 player couch co-op is nearing in! Sale is on for 2 days only.

And just why are we beaming like Dreadhorns after sunset? We've got plenty of reason to celebrate! One of them being a major milestone for us here at Shotgun with Glitters: We are overjoyed to announce that The Padre has finally launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch! You can find our retro stylised, 3D horror adventure game on Steam under the link:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/747650/The_Padre/

Another reason behind our delight is the blast we had at Reboot Develop Blue 2019 in Dubrovnik - an awesome indie scene with a wonderful and supportive community, inspiring speeches from the aces of the industry, a terrific experience altogether. Check out the official recap video of the event here:

Moss Destruction had its own booth to exhibit for the people of the conference

We learned a lot from the engaging speeches and instructive feedback from fellow developers and attendees, knowledge that let us further improve Moss Destruction.

Based on the feedback at the conference and the reports you sent us, we put together an update, live now. Here's the log for

UPDATE 1.3 "GLAM"

  • Introducing: 3 new fierce minibosses to encounter in the Dreary Desert world. Be on the lookout for them and go prepared! Who is your favourite?
  • As asked for: the 2 unlockable characters now have their own special skills, making them truly different to play.
  • As asked for: the shotgun is no longer OP.
  • Pickup items are now better distinguishable throughout the game.
  • We adjusted the brightness and lights in the Dark Moon Magic world so that visuals there now are easier to read.
  • Damage booster orbs have a new, killer screen effect.

Greetings Moss Folks!

Lots of news here once again. We've made major mods on Moss Destruction, some of them you'll see right away after starting the game! ;) What else has happened? Let's have a look at

UPDATE 1.2 "WORLDS APART"

Check out the new world map of Moss Destruction

  • Introducing: the scenario mode. To answer the call of many players saying that the game is too tough for a single run, we have divided the 3 worlds into 3 scenarios. You can now finish them separately if you prefer, or if you only have time for a shorter run at a given time. Once you finish a world, the next one will be unlocked and available to start from in the future. Finishing a strikingly successful run in the Dreary Desert and having installed your fav mech techs, you might not want to stop a perfect winning streak. That is perfectly fine and you have the option to venture on into the next world nevertheless with whatever loadout you got this far. If you decide to start from a further world, you'll also find some helpful gear upon spawning into the first level there. We also know that some of you live (and die??) for the sheer thrill of Moss McLeaning your way through all the 3 worlds in a single run and possibly even dive into further loops too. For you we have maintained an Endless mode, available once you have unlocked all the 3 worlds in the scenario mode.
  • 6 new, wild alien techs are now available to find. We also updated the random system of these in order to get a fair run each time.
  • Previously known alien techs are now easier to recognise with a small icon signaling their functions.
  • Moss Destruction now has Steam Cloud Integrity, so that your progress won't be lost with an uninstall.
  • The crosshair got smaller, as asked for.
  • We got rid of the enemies spawning into walls.
  • 'Oh, I see you kids met!' achievement can be obtained once again.
  • Fixed the cloaking field gen.

We greatly appreciate your help and support in developing Moss Destruction and as always, remember to keep sending your comments and suggestions in the dedicated Steam threads or send them to contact@shotgunwithglitters.com or join the community in out Discord server here: http://shotgunwithglitters.com/discord

    Keep on being awesome!

Hey Moss Folks!

We're back again with the first major update since the full release of Moss Destruction. We had a blast in the last month. All the anticipation, the excitement, all the tension building up to the big day when we finally celebrated version 1.0. We received tons of feedback. We got the nicest words and friendly slappings on our backs. We also had our share of the cruel reality of being faced with the flaws and errors we made in the game so far. All in all we are truly happy about the initial reception of the game. We payed close attention to both the warm and the cold, learned what we could from them and are back at the drawing board once again with newborn effort to make Moss Destruction even better.

With the annoying crashing issue finally out of the way thanks to the hotfix last week, let's see what we have in

Update 1.1 Illuminate

We have the joy to announce that we've been contacted by SteelSeries and have implementated their GameSense lighting in Moss Destruction! With the in-game integration you can now enjoy trigger reactive illumination, tactile alerts, and OLED messages on your supported SteelSeries devices! You can find more info on the tech here:

https://steelseries.com/engine/apps

  • Performance improvement: you'll most likely feel the difference when playing, the game just got a whole lot smoother, with shorter loading times and a loading screen to spend the remaining short time enjoying precious gameart nevertheless.
  • Mouse aiming got smoothed out: as we received some comments about clanky handling of the crosshair, we reevaluated the controls - aiming with the controller also got improved upon.
  • Allowing for community wishes, the fog is now dissolving in a wider area around the player
  • Also as asked for, pushing down the sticks of the controller won't result in displaying the default in-game controls layout anymore.
  • Supply Drop will now also display the current health of the player prior to installing on the mech-tech screen.
  • The icons of installed mech-techs won't block the lower left corner of the screen anymore, instead they got a new place on the loading screen before entering a level.
  • Melee kills won't block loot drops anymore.
  • The Force Screen will not block the way of the Mr Beam now, neither will it block the laser sight of the Sniper. Enemies on the other side of the screen will not act now as if the player simply vanished from before their eyes. Or sensors. And tentacles.
  • Mr Beam cannot keep firing anymore if out of ammo.
  • Hazardous puddles will properly damage the player upon first entry.
  • The random drop of weapon crates got a fix, as it used to have the bad habit of dropping quite the same weapons in certain levels.
  • The Bomb Bot just finished its 'Dealing Damage Deliberately' extensional course, as in the past it sometimes seemed to forget about its number one duty of having the player's life turn into the player's death.

The co-op mode is still in the forge, but the next major update will first comply with another community wish. Namely the game being to hard for one single run. To answer the call, we are going to split the worlds up into 3 separate scenarios and once unlocked, will make them available for runs on their own. For those of you worried that this might spoil your insane level of difficulty, we are still planning to have the option of completing the game in a single run as it is now, but will call that option the 'Endless mode' in future versions.

We greatly appreciate your help and support in developing Moss Destruction and as always, remember to keep sending your comments and suggestions in the dedicated Steam threads or send them to contact@shotgunwithglitters.com or join the community in out Discord server here: http://shotgunwithglitters.com/discord

Hello Moss Folks!

An unreal amount of time passed since our last public update. Nevertheless we can assure you that the time was worth all the waiting and pretty soon we'll be ready to introduce a the most thrilling world yet to complete the Moss adventure. But let's first take a look at what's new in the existing worlds.

UPDATE 0.9 "DARK INBOUND"

  • A new weapon enters the arsenal: the Scorcher. A special weapon that will create a devastating aura around the mech, burning up enemies with a great deal of damage inside over time. Because of the uncontrollable heat, the player will also suffer 1 damage with each use. The blazing aura will last for 5 seconds, it does not however protect the player from incoming damage.
  • Because the community asked for this modification, the use of the exit portal now requires a confirmation.
  • As a long asked for option, the keyboard and mouse controls can now be remapped.
  • Also as asked for: options can now be changed under the in-game pause menu too.
  • No more empty mech tech screen! We added some further mech techs that will stick once you installed all the others. Will you see them all?
  • Stronger now: beware that the desert boss' projectiles won't dissolve now over distances and it just got a whole lot harder to juggle your way around them unharmed. The Severe Serpent also got more agile and viscous in the Blu.
  • Bosses received a lifebar so that you can now easily follow up on the carnage you're causing them.
  • Players with controllers will now be able to go back to previous menus in the game by simply pressing the B/ circle button
  • An option is granted now in the options menu to reset all tutorial texts.
  • Stats 2.0: as lots of you reported several problems with the stats system, we reworked the whole thing from bottom to top, hopefully providing now a much more reliable mass of data. Oh, and your highest combo ever is now getting displayed in your stats! The race is on!
  • Mosses and Don Grandmoss got their own models in their mechs now. How cool is that?
  • The content of weapon loot boxes got rearranged, providing now a richer looting experience.
  • The Poing gun got its well deserved own model and icon.
  • At long last, we found the cause and got rid of the bug where some guns would randomly stop doing damage until the weapons got switched. Once again, this was solved with the help of the community! Cheers!
  • The minimap now stays up to date with the enemies already slaughtered when the effect of the spyglass is active.
  • Fixed the issue where you could easily miss the Beamhead of the Blu by firing over its head.
  • Convenience issues: fixed the one where switching from Dr Gizmoss at the character selection screen would render the Stork's extra cartridge slot empty.
  • Corrected the typos you guys told us about in tutorials and descriptions. Tahnk you!
  • Added a credits screen! :)

Once more, thanks for all the support and feedback you guys give us! You rock!

The time is critically near to unleash the full Moss experience. With the darkness spreading and a bad moon rising, the coming of the third episode overshadows the yet obscure future of all Mossorians. Prepare for the mystical elements of

    DARK MOON MAGIC

Please note that with the conclusive world introduced, Moss Destruction will soon leave early access stage. With the full release will come tons of content, new weapons, new achievements and more! Make sure to grab the game for a more than fair price while still in early access as the price will take a moderate leap with the full release in correspondence with new and crispy content.

See you guys next time with the full release of Moss Destruction!

    Cheers,

    An overexcited SwG Team

Moss Destruction - kevci
Hey Everyone!

Let us start by welcoming all the new players to the Moss family, nice to have you here! :)

For those who don't know yet, we at the Shotgun with Glitters team keep updating and patching up Moss Destruction in accordance with constant player feedback and suggestions on a fairly regular basis. Your opinions and recommendations are always welcome! With that said, let's see whats new in

UPDATE 0.8 "HOT"

  • With this update enters a new weapon: the Lava Gun! Fend off your enemies by creating massive blockades of lava traps around you, or use its blast effect against smaller groups of enemies approaching in a tighter bunch, also applying burn damage. Beware though that the lava puddles left behind can just as well hurt you! Not feeling secure? Equip the B.O.O.T.S. mech tech to protect yourself from all kinds of hazardous puddles.
  • We're through with a major balancing of the Blu Wilderness. All the foes got reevaluated and tweaked on. Some got stronger, others had to take back on the juice, firing methods, behaviours were changed, hopefully all adding up to a more coherent overall feeling while fighting in the jungles. Did it work? You tell us!
  • We hear you! As some of you already asked for, your Krysol counter is now displayed at the beginning of levels and close to the shop portal.
  • The fog in the shop got dissolved.
  • Some cartridge prices were changed for more affordable upgrading patterns.
  • Got rid of the oh-so-annoying constant buzzing sound of the laser sights of Sniper Guards adding up in a level.
  • Your PET could easily block your movement inside tight fort walls. Kicking it around, cursing and yelling, usually the next thing you knew was that you had swallowed a rocket from a Zuka Guard. We got rid of that and the PET will no longer get in your way.
  • Enemies in forts will no longer be able to cause damage through walls.
  • Solved the issue where the shop prices were blocked by the environment.
  • Fixed the issue where the Spyglass picked up wouldn't hold out for the whole run.

We could say that this is all, but... the the evil that we warned you about last time... It is creeping up our way, getting closer by the minute.....

Again, thanks for all the support and feedback you guys give us! You are awesome!
