Mirador - Shatojon
Hey everyone,

On the 2nd of May 2022, Mirador servers will be shut down and you will no longer be able to play Mirador, as it relies on online servers. We've communicated with Valve and the game will be retired from the storefront as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, the servers have cost us considerably more than the game's revenue and it's no longer feasible for us to keep them online.

Thank you so much for joining us on this adventure - while we're sad that it didn't pan out the way we had envisioned it, developing Mirador alongside our community was a unique and unforgettable experience. We're extremely grateful for everyone that chose to support us and tag along during that time.

Our previous game, Castle Story, is unaffected by this decision and remain fully playable, online and offline.
Mirador - Shatojon

Mirador is 15% off for the Steam Halloween Sale!

If you haven't yet, now's a great time to give the game a try or - if you already own it, maybe have a friend join you in some co-op runs!

Enjoy & Happy Halloween! :D

Greetings Rangers!

We've recently released a new update to Mirador adding a brand new content mechanic: player gear! The ability to unlock abilities for your characters rather than your Sentinels has been a recurring suggestion and that's what today's update is all about. :)

The New Stuff
Players can now find various tiers of the Boomerang, in addition to a brand new secondary: the landmine! In addition to that, the regular Healing Salve can now be found in stronger tiers that hold more charges AND you can find two new healing relics; the Rejuvenating Clock and the Regeneration Token!

All of these items must be found to be used and are one-time uses, just like Sentinel gear, except the default Boomerang and default Healing Salve. You can equip your newly found gear by interacting with the chest in the Armory at the Eastern tower - the spot where you previously changed your skin from Dog to Crow.
  • New Boomerangs: Advanced Boomerang and Superior Boomerang with longer range and higher damage!
  • New Healing Salves: Advanced Healing Salve and Superior Healing Salve with four and five charges instead of 3, respectively.
  • The Standard Boomerang and Standard Healing Salve are never consumed and can always be equipped.
  • The Standard Healing Salve no longer returns 1 charge upon defeating a Sentinel.
  • New Healing Relic: The Rejuvenating Clock, can be found in standard, advanced and superior tiers, it has a single charge, but the charge slowly regenerates forever! The advanced and superior versions of the Rejuvenating Clock regenerate the charge quicker.
  • New Healing Relic: The Regeneration Token, can also be found in standard, advanced and superior tiers, its charges work the same as the Healing Salve you're familiar with, but instead of instantly healing one entire health bar, it will heal considerably more than one bar over time!
  • New Secondary Weapon: The Landmine! It comes in standard, advanced and superior versions which each allow the player to place more extra mine down at a time. Place your landmines down and as soon as a Sentinel steps into one, KABLOOEY!

Tweaks
  • Adjusted Hitboxes so latency has a lesser effect on gameplay now.
  • Adjusted the Speech Bubble for the Skirmisher Dog.
  • Tweaked the damage output of Fire spells.
  • Tweaked Searing Wall's hitbox, it's a little larger now.
  • Tweaked the shield charge breaks for Advanced/Superior Spatial Warp. It now breaks 4 charges instead of 1.
  • Tweaked the shield charge breaks for Orthographic Maneuver (Advanced/Superior). It now breaks 4 charges instead of 1.
  • Tweaked basic Mine Sweep's animation time so it casts faster and farther.
  • Tweaked basic Mine Sweep's VFX/Hitbox, the scan is now larger.
  • Tweaked the Sentinels' mines hitbox radius, it's now bigger.

Fixes
  • Fixed issue where players would frequently encounter their own Sentinels during runs.
  • Fixed an issue with the win/loss detection for Sentinels when the fight had 2 players in the party.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing fight music to stop.

We hope you enjoy this new update, see you in Mirador!

Unrelated, but pretty cool GIF!

Good day Rangers! Line up and at ease, here's the new word from the Citadel!

Skirmish Specific Sentinels
It is now possible to share your boss' GUID (code) with others so that they may summon and challenge it in the Citadel's Colosseum! You can find your Sentinel's GUID by inspecting it in the Sentinel Workshop. Note that you can click the GUID and hit CTRL + C to copy it, then CTRL + V to paste it to your friends, wherever it is you chat with your buds!

Once you have the GUID of someone's Sentinel, you can enter it by interacting with the cross-pawed dog at the entrance of the Respawn room.

We also created a new channel on the official Discord server ( https://discord.gg/Mirador ) called #sentinel-codes where we invite you to share codes (and maybe screenshots?) of your Sentinels for others to try and defeat! :D

Co-Op Skirmish
From now on, if you trigger a Skirmish against your own Sentinel in the workshop while in a party, your buddy will join you in the fight and you'll be able to observe your Sentinel's behavior when there are two players in the party!

Keybindings
It is now possible to change your keybindings in the game's options menu. You can also use Steam's controller settings to rebind controller keys too.

Re-rolling Sentinel Names
If you're not a fan of your Sentinel's name during creation, you can now re-roll it by pressing X or clicking on the button at the bottom right of the overview tab!

Visual tweaks in the Citadel
There's been a lot of foot traffic in the Citadel and desire paths have begun to form in the Citadel! Also, we've given some visual diversity to the Crows and Dogs in the Citadel - some of them look different now. Have you found the legendary albino barking Crow?

Gameplay Tweaks
  • Recall stone now opens the menu quicker.
  • Tweaked Revolver Strike - the Sentinel now rests for longer after the shot.
  • Tweaked the Blaster Strike - the Sentinel now rests for slightly less time after blasting the three projectiles.
  • Tweaked the Mace's hitbox - it's slightly bigger than before and matches the VFX better.
  • Tweaked the Axe's hitbox.
  • Buffed the Axe's strike to destroy 1 extra shield charge. It now breaks 4 instead of 3.
  • Tweaked the timing of the Saber's hitbox to better fit the strike animation.
  • Tweaked Orthographic Maneuver in Windblown Steppes - the Sentinel was teleporting too far from players.
  • Added some carrots to the stew.

Fixes
  • Improved FPS drop issue with certain Sentinel attacks.
  • Improved performance in the Sentinel Workshop.
  • Fixed the navmesh around carts in the Citadel.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing water VFX to appear when you dashed and moved on the arena surrounded by water in Windblown Steppes.

Enjoy & be sure to let us know what you think! :D

P.S: If you haven't yet, consider helping us spread the word about Mirador & send your friends a link to the store page, word of mouth would help tremendously. <3

Hello friends!

First of all, I sat down with Evax, our QA, and we went through an entire run, challenging YOUR Sentinels to combat and .. we won! We made it to the end! Then we made a new Sentinel using all the loot we got. :D Watch the video here;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Tmy73LFhA

We also have a nifty little patch for you, check it out!

  • Added wobbliness superpower to the training dummies in the Citadel! (See GIF above!)
  • Increased the chance of Sentinels getting loot during combat. From now on, when your Sentinel wins, you have 100% chances of getting loot. When it loses, you have 50% chances of getting loot. Previously, the ratio was 50%/30%.
  • Added a Tutorial / Guide button in the main menu that brings you to the official Beginner's Guide.
  • Made the Inventory button open in the Steam overlay instead of your default browser.
  • Fixed an invisible wall issue in one of the Flooded Plains arenas.

Enjoy & thank you for your support so far! <3

Greetings, Rangers!

This new update brings a useful new area to the Citadel, changes how Sentinel runs play out and introduces several bug fixes to the game.

----

The Training Grounds
The inhabitants of the Citadel have setup a rag-tag but quite useful zone to the south that will allow you rangers to safely draw your weapons and practice your swings, throws and attacks! Simply enter the area to automatically draw your weapons and get familiar with the controls before stepping into the portal where the real danger lies!

----

The Sentinel Runs
In the past, a Sentinel run would happen like so;

Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Citadel

This was problematic for newer players who would have a hard time defeating even the first Sentinel and, when they did, they had two more to fight before reaching the first reward chest and checkpoint.

We had to think of a solution to make defeating your very first Sentinel feel like the satisfying achievement that it is, without making things too easy for experienced players. As such, we've now changed the run layout to this new format;

Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Tier 1 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Tier 2 Sentinel combat
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Tier 3 Sentinel combat
Obsidian Gate + Reward Chest

As such, new players will feel less discouraged by the starting difficulty and pushing your luck past the first sanctuary makes more sense now.

----

The Dash VFX
In Mirador, you spend a whole lotta time dashing around. Dashing to the Portals, dashing to dodge mean Sentinels trying to turn you into a patty, dashing because dashing is just darn fun! Depending on where you land at the end of your dashing, your eyes can now marvel at the beautiful new effects of splashing water of clouding dust!

----

Updated Loot Bag display
Your lootbag no longer shows empty boxes where there isn't loot and we added a new inventory button that will take you to your Steam inventory, showing all Mirador loot you currently own!

Oh, you can also change pages in the loot bag now, if you've gathered enough to fill up the first one.

----

Better Mouse & Keyboard support
We've drastically improved mouse & keyboard support in all menus of the game, making it considerably easier to navigate when not using a controller!

----

Dash, Shield, Boomerang & Attack towards mouse .. or not!
One piece of feedback that we heard often from you folks was that amongst other things, when playing with a keyboard & mouse, you'd like to be able to dash towards wherever you're currently walking towards, rather than towards the mouse. So now you can!

In the options, you can now decide whether you dash towards the mouse or not, but also whether you attack, throw the boomerang and block towards the mouse or not.

----

Fixes & Tweaks
  • Added a warning when changing language instructing players to restart the game.
  • Fixed an issue where players were able to click on "Collect loot" even if the button was greyed out.
  • Improved performance on the dash VFX.
  • Removed HUD FX on non-interactable icons with the mouse.

We hope you enjoy and keep the feedback coming!

Well hailed, Rangers!

To celebrate today's update, we've got some freebies!

🎁 EVERYONE that logs into the game today or tomorrow (until 5PM EST) will get TWO FREE DROPS: The Meteoric Glyph (pictured above) and the NEW MINESWEEP SENTINEL SPELL! (pictured below) 🎁

We've been tirelessly working on updating Mirador according to the excellent feedback you've all been giving us on the Steam forums, e-mails, support tickets, Discord, etc!

Last week-end, Sodapoppin streamed Mirador and that was super exciting, but also super scary! We're super thankful to all the content creators who have been streaming the game and putting up Youtube videos, it's awesome! If you create anything Mirador related, let us know so we can take a look!

And now without further ado, tonight's update is as follows;

The Minesweep Spell
You can now find a brand new spell to gear your Sentinels with: The Minesweep! The Sentinel will cast a detection ray in a straight line and materialize an explosive device if the players step into the ray.

The device will burst dealing large AoE damage should it be stepped on by, lets say, a distracted Dog or Crow. ;)

---

The Recall Stones
You'll find these magical, floating crystals at the Obsidian Gate zones with which you can interact to safely return to the Citadel and keep all your loot (as long as you didn't open the portal there).

---

Deployed additional servers
For the most part, everyone's experience has been fairly smooth when it comes to latency, except our friends from down under; Australia & New Zealand.

To help with the ping you guys have been getting, we've deployed additional infrastructure closer to your regions which should resolve the issue. :) Let us know how it goes!

---

Tweaks
  • New graphics option: reflections
  • New helmet tier: Superior Herald Helmet.
  • Tweaked invincibility frames (i-Frames) to make dodging feel more fair. Keep in mind that dodging through fire or lazers will still hurt you! You'll have to type your dashes to actually dodge attacks.
  • Tweaked the Saber and Mace's hitboxes.
  • Removed AoE on Force Lance Ability, but tweaked it so it aims closer to player.
  • Tweaked the idle animation to amplify the cuteness.
  • Completed the French localization.
  • Updated confirmation text for dismantling Sentinels.

---

Fixes
  • Fixed "idle" Sentinels that would play their intro then freeze.
  • Fixed the freezes on certain computers (even high-end ones) when Sentinels would begin an attack.
  • Fixed an issue where the lootbag would show items in red when they weren't really lost. They might still show up as red for a few seconds, but will now update correctly once Steam responds to the game with the player's inventory content.
  • Fixed several cases of loot in co-op being lost sometimes.
  • Fixed the excessive server timeouts. You might still get disconnected when trying to connect (aka entering the portal) but it should happen much less now.
  • Fixed random "ghost" holograms.
  • Fixed lootbag pages. You can now scroll through them!
  • Fixed an issue where while creating a Sentinel, the camera wouldn't zoom to the right levels depending on what part the player is editing.
  • Fixed an issue where deploying a Sentinel was possible despite socketing more copies of a cosmetic than the player has.
  • Fixed an issue where players weren't kicked back to the Citadel properly after dying if their co-op buddy left manually.
  • Fixed a memory leak with the tooltip bubbles.
  • Fixed a performance issue with certain VFX.
  • Added tomatoes to the stew.

    ---

We really hope you enjoy this update and can't wait to see you in Mirador!

Mirador is 10% off only until tomorrow, so be sure to tell your friends to grab a copy and hop into the world of Mirador with you now that we've patched up the launch week's hurdles! :D

Hey everyone :)

When we launched Mirador, it wasn't obvious that deploying a Sentinel used the items you socketed into it nor was it obvious that dismantling a Sentinel meant it and its gear were gone for good. Some of you made a Sentinel with the starter items you got, deployed them then dismantled them to try and make another but found yourself itemless.

This was an oversight on our part. We've heard your feedback though and with the latest update, there is now a ton of feedback in the Sentinel Workshop to make sure you're aware when you are permanently using loot!

🎁 Also, to make up for it,

we've sent everyone another goodies pack containing more than enough loot to create a new Sentinel!
🎁

Just restart your game and it should appear in your Steam inventory. :) Enjoy and thank you SO much for the support and patience you've been showing! Keep the feedback coming, we love you!

P.S: If you haven't yet, consider leaving a review on Steam, it helps a LOT in those early days! ♥

Greetings Rangers!

It's been a couple of days since the launch and you've been incredibly active out there, fighting and creating Sentinels!

We've been working day and night pretty much non stop since the launch to patch issues and stabilize the servers thanks to your extremely valuable feedback and today, we have a hefty little update for you.

---

Adventurer Matchmaking
You can now queue to fight Sentinels with strangers! In the Citadel, near the Portal's pedestal, you'll find a Dog and a Crow. Interact with the Crow on the right hand side to toggle on Matchmaking mode. Now, interact with the Pedestal and enter the portal - you'll be matched with an available Ranger who is also ready for adventure. Good luck!

---

Sentinels' Creators
You'll now be able to see who created the Sentinel you're about to fight! Great way to taunt your friends, enemies and frenemies!

P.S: Join us on the Discord for extra (friendly) tauntage: https://discord.gg/Mirador

---

Various Additions
  • Added clearer previews for Circuits in the Sentinel Workshop.
  • Added controller, privacy and GPU drivers disclaimers in pre-load.
  • Added clickable buttons for the Loot Bag and the Quit Menu in the GUI.
  • Added a ton of feedback in the Sentinel Workshop to clear things out, notably why a Sentinel is invalid, why a Sentinel can't be deployed, when items will be permanently consumed (hint: when you deploy a Sentinel), that items will not be returned if a Sentinel is dismantled, etc.
  • Added a confirmation window when deploying Sentinels, since it consumes your items.
  • Added feedback during runs that explains you will lose loot if you quit outside of The Obsidian Gate.
  • Added an overview of your Sentinel in the 'save' tab of the Sentinel Workshop.

---

Fixes
  • Fixed the victory message in Skirmish battles.
  • Fixed Decals and Circuits not being consumed properly when deploying a Sentinel.
  • Fixed players in co-op not getting loot.
  • Fixed the bubble pop-up on the change character chest.
  • Fixed various server issues and improved stability.

---

Changes
  • Removed "Exclusive Fullscreen" as the default setting because it is considerably more taxing performance-wise and was causing framerate drops to certain players.

---

We hope you enjoy the new stuff and thank you for all the great feedback you've been giving us on the forums, on Discord, on Twitter, etc.

There's more coming and our roadmap isn't solidified just yet, we're shaping it based on your comments, so keep them coming.

Remember, Mirador is 10% off for the entire launch week - it's a great opportunity to help support the game's development - maybe invite your friends to join the adventure? :D

Have fun!
