Ever wanted to play on your vertical monitor? Or how about switching to windowed mode and resizing the game? Now you can!

We also fixed a bug with loading and saving item stats on computers based in countries that use a decimal point the way the USA uses a comma.

Matchy is not dead!

We've gotten a bunch of detailed critique and are starting another round of development. New things to come in the next build:

• 150 unique items - Instead of having a million versions of a top hat with slightly different stats that don't make much difference, each item will be unique, affecting the game in it's own way. Items themselves will upgrade as you progress based on how you play.
  
• Redesigned the Speed System - Right now you can frantically move your pieces super fast, but that isn't as much fun as deciding thoughtfully where to move things based on optimizing your score and making it to the end of the levels. Now speed will be tied directly to how many pieces you can move, and each level will up the speed so that it is harder and harder to win, giving a sense of progression!
  
• Progression is based on "runs" rather than unlocking "stars - Instead of getting 3 victory stars based on your score, the question will be how far you can get in each system. Once you've mastered one system you'll unlock the next one.
  
• Randomization on each "run" New system with random seeds as well as both pre-designed and randomly generated levels, you'll get a bonus if you skip a level, but the speed goes up... risky and rewarding!
  
• Totally new shop system Beat the difficulty curve with crazy combos, permanant upgrades to your ships and items.
  
• Unlock everything! New screen to track which items you have unlocked, some ultra rare items may take some time to find, but it's worth it!

Big change:
Joystick support.

Tons of small fixes:
No longer possible to get cash onto the ships.
Green buttons have green text.
Shop and Overworld music cannot play at once.
Improve win confetti particle.
Back button works correctly.
Selecting locked planet shakes planet.

Hi! I'm Michael Silverman, the Silverware Games guy. We really want to bring Matchy Star to you but we need your help to let us know the game is ok.

We've had a lot of trouble getting seen on steam. They seem to push us to the back and not let us get much visibility. So we've created our own gaming network that lets you play games on your phone without downloading them, compete with others directly or for high score, co op, and post social posts.

Our network is run and moderated by humans, not algorithms. And we curate what makes it based on our own criteria that are determined by actual people. Also there are no bots on our network, unlike certain bird themed networks.

We did a poll and we heard the biggest updates people wanted was more games so we are doing just that. Now you can play a game of Memory with your favorite Stars.



There are 3 different decks of cards, and each time you play you get a randomized set of icons to match, so have fun!

Happy to share that a new build goes up today and it features:

- Whole new sprite system which makes it easier for us to update the build. Had to reorganize over 200 sprites to make this work! It's optimization to make future updates easier.

- Important UI tweaks: different buttons / sliders, icons black out correctly.

Also, it includes:

- New music for Stardust, Zootlandia, and MatchyMart.

- New MatchyMart items. Introducing different cups for the cup game, each plays differently.

- And last but not least! New bug progression, each time you clean there are different bugs with different properties, including the BOSS BUG.

We will be showing the build via Twitch before it becomes available, that way we can show you all these things real time and hang out as we make the new build available.

Instead of making but chunks of updates every now and then, we figured we would make more frequent and smaller updates, and to keep up with this, we are scheduling live streams weekly during early access. This means, we hope to go live every Monday at 8pm EST as we work and push new content as it goes!
