Tera Burning Plus continues on with Part 2, allowing you to create another Tera Burning character that earns bonus levels with every level-up to make hitting Lv. 200 a breeze! Burning World and the Burning World Step Up Event are still active as well, so hop into MapleStory and take your new character up through the ranks!

Please avoid altering your computer time when participating in this event. Any changes to your computer time clock can cause issues when creating or deleting Burning characters for this event.

Create a brand-new character during the event period and select it to have the special "Burning" effect. This event is open to characters in both Reboot and non-Reboot worlds, as well as Burning World, except for Zero and Lara characters.

After your character reaches Lv. 10, every time that character levels up it will gain an additional two levels all the way up to Lv. 200!


In addition to all this, you'll also earn amazing rewards along the way, including Root Abyss and Fafnir gear! When you reach Lv. 200 on your ‘Burning’ character, don’t stop there but keep on training! You will receive additional rewards on your ‘Burning’ character at Lv. 200, Lv. 205, Lv. 210, Lv. 215, and Lv. 220!

Here's How it Works

Create a brand-new character during the event period. From the character select screen, choose the new character on your account to have the "Burning" effect. Then, accept the quest "It's the Tera Burning Project gift giveaway!" from the star event notifier on the left-side of the game window in order to start receiving rewards! Only one character on your account can have the "Burning" effect during each part of the event.



After completing the quest "It's the Tera Burning Project gift giveaway!," you will receive all of your gifts immediately; however, you will not be able to use all of them until you meet the required level for each reward.

  • Typhoon Growth Potion: Untradeable, 7-day duration. Character must be at least Lv. 200 to use the potion. Grants a level when used between Lv. 200 and Lv. 239, or a large amount of EXP when used at Lv. 240 or above.
• Lv. 220: Reach Lv. 220 on your Tera Burning character to select one of the following rewards once per account during the whole Tera Burning Plus event duration (Part 1 and 2 combined):
  
  • AbsoLab Weapon Box: Tradeable within the same account, must be opened prior to 11:59 PM UTC on February 15, 2022. Contains a permanent 17-star Unique Astrolab Weapon for your character's job.

Burning World is a special world with special rules that will exist only for the duration of the Burning World event, filled with boosts to make it easier than ever to level up fast. While on Burning World, all characters will gain the special Burning skill, which grants the following bonuses:

• 1.5x EXP
• Weapon ATT/Magic ATT +50
• Damage against Normal Monsters +30%
• Damage against Bosses +30%
• Critical Rate +30%
• Critical Damage +30%

You will also be able to create two Mega Burning characters, who operate in the same manner as in previous Mega Burning events: After reaching Lv. 10, every time that character levels up, they will also gain two bonus levels, all the way up to Lv. 150. Combined with the Burning EXP bonus and boosted damage, you'll be able to power your way through those levels faster than ever before!



Additionally, even after your Mega Burning characters have been created, you'll be able to create another four characters to level up and leap, which will still benefit from the Burning skill! Please note that, while the default number of Character Slots on Burning World is eight, and can be expanded via Character Slot Coupons awarded from Daily Gifts and other avenues, only six characters will be able to World Leap when the Burning World event comes to a close, even if you have more than six Lv. 150 characters on the world. Additionally, Zero and Lara characters cannot be selected as a "Burning" character.

As Burning World is a temporary world to be removed at the end of the World Leap stage, some MapleStory features will be unavailable there:

• The Meso Market will not be available.
• Link Skills cannot be transferred between characters on Burning World (the Burning skill will have to be enough!).
• Maple Legion will be unavailable; the UI will be unavailable and you will be unable to progress on it past talking to Legion NPCs.
• Monster Collection will be unavailable, monsters will not be added to the collection and the UI will not open.
• Maple Tour will not be available.

• The Burning World Step Up event is here to enhance your leveling experience in Burning World even further!
• Requirements: Lv. 33 and above characters created in Burning World. (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).
• Complete missions available to your Burning World character’s level and step-up while receiving special rewards!
• Accept the "Participate in the Burning World Step Up Event!" quest within the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
• Once you click the Burning World Step Up icon within the star event on the left side of your screen, you will have access to the Step Up UI.
• When you reach the specified level milestone, remember to click ‘Mission Start!’ button to start the mission.
• When you complete the mission, click ‘Mission Complete!’ button to receive the reward and move on to the next mission.
• Burning World Step Up event can be completed by any characters in Burning World, regardless of having the ‘Burning’ effect or not.
• Burning World Step Up event progress is shared with all your characters in Burning World.

• Wednesday, February 9, 2022 (End of Maintenance) - Thursday, February 24, 2022 (Start of Maintenance)

As the saying goes, the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and the Burning World will burn very brightly indeed. However, while this new world will be consumed at the end of it all, a new life awaits your characters in the other worlds of MapleStory!

Lv. 150+ characters in Burning World will be allowed to leap to another world of your choosing during the World Leap period, taking their equipped items, inventory, and mesos with them to join their new communities. When this period begins, all Burning World characters will be moved to the Burning Leap Zone map, where they will be able to speak to the NPC Mover to complete their exodus.

• Characters in Burning World must be at least Lv. 150 in order to World Leap, whether they were Mega Burning characters or not.
  • Zero characters must be both Lv. 150+ and having completed Story Quest Act 2.
  • It will not be possible to leave the Burning Leap Zone map during this period, making it impossible to gain any more EXP. Make sure you're Lv. 150 before the February 9 maintenance!
• Even if you have more than six Lv. 150 characters on Burning World, only six of them will be allowed to World Leap.
• You do not need an empty character slot on the destination world for your new character (you will be granted a free Character Slot if you are at your unlocked limit on that world), however if you have reached the maximum character limit on that world, you will need to delete a character in order to make room for them.
• Characters can be transferred to non-Reboot worlds only.
• Characters in Guilds will not be able to World Leap until they have either left or disbanded their Guild.
• Your character's equipped items, inventory, and mesos will be transferred with your character, but items within your Storage, Cash Shop Inventory, mail, and auction house will not be. Make sure you clear everything out before taking the big leap!
• You may send your Burning World characters all to the same world, or to different worlds.
• Medals obtained from regularly-resetting rankings will not be transferred, and your rankings in those pieces of content will also not be transferred.

[Updated January[b] 5 at 8:18 PM PST] [/b]The scheduled maintenance on January 6 will be postponed and tentatively rescheduled to January 11. We would like to take some extra care and time to ensure that the additional period of Magical Miracle Time is without any issues before we release the event. We apologize for this additional delay, as we know that those who were affected by the issues on December 25 and December 26 are eager to "make-up" their missed Magical Miracle Time. [Updated December 25 at 4:40 AM PST] Please note that NA and EU Reboot players that are affected by the issue where certain Magical Miracle Time event time slots did not work on December 25 or 26 will be given another day of Magical Miracle Time event after our upcoming maintenance, tentatively scheduled for January 6. [Updated December 25 at 3:20 AM PST] We've discovered that the Magical Miracle Time event's time slots that coincide with that of non-Reboot worlds (December 25 at 8:30 AM UTC & December 25 at 10:00 PM UTC & December 26 at 3:00 AM UTC) do not work as they should for players that registered for those days in NA and EU Reboot worlds. Thus, the remaining available Magical Miracle Time event will be for those that registered for December 26th during the following time slots in Reboot worlds:

We've received reports concerning the issue where Magical Miracle Time perks were not granted on December 25th during the 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM UTC time slot for those who registered for December 25th in NA and EU Reboot worlds. We are currently looking into this issue and will provide an update along with our next steps when we can. We have seen the posts about the client performance issues, or FPS lag as players have been calling it, and we would like to let you know that we are aware of the complaints and have been looking into the issue.

We suspect there may be an issue with how we have packaged the client but we are still investigating the root cause. This doesn’t affect every MapleStory player but we understand it does affect players with certain PC configurations or settings. In our maintenance on Dec. 22, we have attempted to adjust the way we package the client but since we do not have the exact PC configurations and settings that cause the issue, we are unable to reproduce the issue and confirm if this change helped with the client performance issues. If you find that the client is still suffering the same issues after this week’s maintenance, we would appreciate it if you could submit a ticket to Customer Support and provide us with a video and the hardware specs of your PC.

Attention Maplers,

We’d like to share with you regarding our plans to limit certain items’ functionality usage in future Lv. 300 and above areas. In new Lv. 300 and above areas, a limitation will be placed on using item functionalities that affect the overall game balance. This change was decided after thorough and careful consideration, so that the current gameplay of players who own these items would not be largely affected while still taking into account the health of the future game environment and new player experiences. There currently are no plans ready to share regarding the implementation date of Lv. 300 and above areas. You may be curious about how Kanna’s ‘Kishin Shoukan’ skill will behave in the new Lv. 300 and above area, as the skill provides similar features to some of the items listed above. Our teams have been reviewing the ‘Kishin Shoukan’ skill in detail and since this skill has a unique effect on the overall balance of the game, we plan on reducing its effectiveness next year. We will share the finalized, detailed plans with you as soon as we have them available.

We plan to execute the following changes to avoid any potential confusion going forward:

• Add a notice regarding the item usage limitation on the description tooltip of the items listed above during our v.230 patch update maintenance.
  
• New areas implemented with Lv. 300 and above condition will retain the item usage limitation even if their level condition gets adjusted to below Lv. 300 sometime in the future.

      • For example: If you used 10 Red Cubes during MMT on 12/25 or 12/26, you will receive 5 Red Cubes. 
    • Red and Black Cubes that expired between 12/25, 12/26 - 1/11 Scheduled Maintenance will be returned and extended to 1/20 23:59 UTC.  
    • Red and Black Cubes that will expire between 1/11 (after the maintenance) - 1/14 3:00 AM UTC will be extended by 10 days.

[Updated December 25 at 3:26 AM PST] As mentioned on our Magical Miracle Time Issue in Reboot World post, we discovered that the Magical Miracle Time event's time slots that coincide with that of non-Reboot worlds (December 25 at 8:30 AM UTC & December 25 at 10:00 PM UTC & December 26 at 3:00 AM UTC) do not work as they should for players that registered for those days in NA and EU Reboot worlds. Thus, the remaining available Magical Miracle Time event will be for those that registered for December 26th during the following time slots in Reboot worlds:

Maplers on non-Reboot worlds will be able to take part in the classic Miracle Time during periods on Saturday, December 25 - Sunday December 26 UTC, while Reboot world Maplers will be able to reserve a date between December 22 and 26 UTC for their rank-up bonus chances!

Event Details:

• When the Registration Period begins, use the Star Event Notifier to accept the "[MMT] Magical Miracle Time Pre-registration" quest to be awarded a registration coin, and select which date you'd like to try to purchase a Magical Miracle Time Registration Ticket for.
• Note: Available in Reboot World only.
• Use the Star Event Notifier to travel to the Miracle Time Registration Map, and speak to the NPC there to purchase a Magical Miracle Time Registration Ticket for the previously selected day. In order to prevent overcrowding, you will only have 60 seconds to make the purchase, after which time you will be returned to the previous map you were on, and have to select a day again. Failing to purchase a ticket will not prevent you from accessing the same Magical Miracle Time Registration Ticket vendor.
• Miracle Time will, as usual, occur during three hour-long periods during the day. For example, a 12/22 Magical Miracle Time Registration Ticket will enable Miracle Time during the following periods:
