  • Fixed an issue where the mouse would sometimes be misaligned on Macbooks.
  • Changed histograms to pull from a local file rather than our live histogram server.

Boot up your Z5 Powerlance and dial into Last Call BBS, the last game from Zachtronics!

The Barkeep’s loaded up his retro computer with a full set of puzzle games for you to download and play. No need to worry about copy protection, they’re all fully cracked and ready to enjoy!
Includes eight full games:
  • 20th Century Food Court: Design factories to produce food just like they did over 700 years ago in the 20th century. Keep your costs low and your machines running fast!
  • STEED FORCE Hobby Studio: Assemble robot models based on the anime smash hit Steed Force right on your computer. No sandpaper required!
  • X’BPGH: The Forbidden Path: Enter a cursed world and create bizarre flesh sculptures in exchange for eternal life. The master is pleased… but can you trust him?
  • Sawayama Solitaire: It wouldn’t be a Zachtronics release without a brand-new solitaire game. This time it’s a fresh take on Klondike, the “classic” solitaire variant.
  • Dungeons & Diagrams: Try your hand at these beguiling tile-based logic puzzles. Can you map out the dungeons and steal all the treasure?
  • ChipWizard™ Professional: Build integrated circuits using wires, transistors, and capacitors. Wait a second, is this a game or a CAD program?
  • HACK*MATCH: The tile-matching minigame from EXAPUNKS, completely remastered with a single player campaign and local head-to-head multiplayer (with Steam Remote Play support).
  • Kabufuda Solitaire: Create matching sets of Japanese kabufuda cards in this retro-demake of the challenging original solitaire game that debuted in Eliza.

Today's update fixes a bug where the mouse cursor was blurry when using the "full" pixel scaling option. It also adds part rotation to the controls listing.

Today's update changes the bonus campaign to unlock halfway through the main campaign rather than at the end of it. You'll still need to beat all the main campaign puzzles to see the full story.

We've also fixed a bug where the wrong histogram would be shown after deleting a solution and causing a different solution to be selected.

Today's update changes the order of a bunch of the bonus campaign puzzles. If you've completed some but not all of them you'll probably see some weird text on the locked puzzles (like "SOLVE -4 MORE") that is completely normal and should be disregarded.

Also, nicotine has been replaced with bithionol, a more interesting puzzle made by a player instead of me.

Today's update includes a draft version of the bonus campaign, available to players who have completed the main campaign. The specific list of puzzles and their order is not final and is likely to change over the next week or so. Let us know what you think of the bonus campaign through the normal channels!

This update also includes a change in how we draw the screen when the "full" pixel scaling method is selected. It used to remain sharp but result in differently-sized pixels, while it now is less sharp but much more consistent looking. If your monitor resolution is a multiple of 960x540 (i.e. 1080p or 4K) this won't matter to you.

Today's update adds a simple "level editor" with an entirely new set of precursors. Use it to create solutions that manufacture drug molecules of your choosing, and then send us (zach@zachtronics.com) screenshots of your solutions running with the target molecule clearly visible. We'll pick our favorites and include them in an upcoming free bonus campaign.

NOTE: You must have solved all of the puzzles in the main campaign to unlock the bonus campaign and its level editor.

This update also includes fixes for two GIF-related bugs; one involved GIFs sometimes not looping smoothly, while the other involved solutions with only one or two lines of instructions never finishing recording.

Today's update includes the following:
  • Changed bond-breaking priority so that rotating your solution will less frequently change its behavior. This will probably break any solutions you have that relied on ambiguous bonding or unbonding resolving in a particular way.

  • Changed the trash and output instructions so that they happen after the movement and hydrogen manipulation instructions. This fixes some simulation oddities ("disappearing" hydrogen) and hopefully adds a little more optimization depth. This will also probably break some solutions.

  • Reset histograms and leaderboards because of the above gameplay changes.
  • Added tutorial text to the second puzzle better explaining that you can move and rotate precursors and emitters.
  • Added hotkey support to the solution list (arrows, enter, Ctrl+N, Ctrl-C, F2 / Ctrl-R, delete).
  • Added support for right-clicking to cancel playback and exit some screens.
  • Removed the solution rotation button, as it sometimes breaks solutions. You can access the old behavior by pressing the F10 key. This is a deliberate attempt to hide the feature.
  • Fixed a bug where dropping a new instruction in an invalid location would instead drop it in the top-left corner of the program grid.
  • Fixed a bug where you could not clone single instructions when picking them up.
  • Fixed a crash when clicking on instructions while dragging parts.
  • Fixed a bug where emitter beams would flicker between outputs leaving and inputs spawning, which looked particularly bad in exported GIFs.
  • Fixed a bug where some characters wouldn't show up correctly in solution names.
