Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders launched one month ago and we wanted to take the time to thank everyone for your feedback, ideas, suggestions, insane speedrunning videos and for helping us with hunting down all these nasty multiplayer bugs. We are especially grateful to everyone who gave the game a positive review on Steam and Xbox. The game is currently sitting at 92% on Steam and we couldn’t be more happy!



We are continuously working on improving the game in all areas and will release a patch next week with further multiplayer and UI improvements among a whole bunch of other things.

We hope you’re all doing well! Our new game Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders came out last week and we’re super happy with the reception. There is still some more work cut out for us but we’re totally blown away that already more than 500.000 riders have visited the Lonely Mountains over all platforms on the first week.

As the launch discount is now over we still would like to offer a discount on the game, especially to our existing Downhill community. That’s why we added a new “Lonely Mountains - Games” bundle today which includes Snow Riders as well as Downhill with a 10% discount. It’s finally time to buckle your boots. Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, our ‘ski-quel’ to Lonely Mountains: Downhill, is coming to Steam and Xbox on January 21st!

The game will feature 2-8 person crossplatform multiplayer with a competitive racing mode, as well as a cooperative team mode that’s perfect for hanging around with your friends on cold winter nights. Of course, it’s also fully playable in singleplayer, with lots of challenges and extensive leaderboards. If you’re just looking for some relaxed carving, the game also has a new ‘zen’ mode that lets you free-roam the mountains and place your own checkpoints.

If you want to do some ski gymnastics and hone your skills before release, the Singleplayer demo is still online. And of course we would be super grateful if you could wishlist the game so we can climb the upcoming list on Steam!

Welcome to the 40th(!) season of the Daily Rides - a recap of our beloved Riding Reindeer Season! It’s hard to believe that the Daily Rides are now already running for more than 4 years.

We will keep it short today as we are still hard at work preparing Snow Riders for its January release.

We wish everyone Happy Holidays, a great New Year, and a fantastic new season!

PS: We had to change some backend things so that the Daily Rides can continue in 2025 and it might be that you get a weird season result message when starting the game but it shouldn’t affect the season

We hope you’re all doing well! Apologies for the radio silence over the last weeks. We’re just super busy preparing the slopes for the upcoming Snow Riders release.
But more news on that on Monday!

Our Season 39 ended yesterday and we want to take a quick moment to celebrate the Top 25 the last two seasons - shame on me for forgetting it the previous month.

A few people have asked if the Daily Rides seasons for Downhill will continue next year. And the answer is definitely yes! We will post the season roadmap for 2025 in January.

In other news, we will turn off the multiplayer for the Snow Riders Demo on Monday. So if you are still working on that Level 10 outfit, this weekend will be your last chance!

You can still play the Singleplayer and go for the leaderboard best-times but we have to do some server work before the release.

Lonely Mountains: Downhill turns 5 years old today and today we also crossed 6 million players on the leaderboards! Even after 5 years, the game is still alive and kicking and we are tremendously grateful for that.

When we started LMD in the Summer of 2015 it was a hobby mobile game project that we did for fun in our spare time. Not in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that it would find its way into the hands of so many players.

For the last 10 years, Lonely Mountains has been our life and what once started as a 2-person pet project has now grown into a 14-person company. We are incredibly thankful for having the privilege to work every day on something we love (and still be able to pay our bills).

We are looking forward to the next 5 years with you and as always wish you a great ride on the Lonely Mountains!
