It’s no secret, but it hasn’t been properly announced yet, so here we are: We’re officially developing Lethis – Path of Progress II.

There is still a long way to go, so don’t expect a release before next year.
In the meantime, we’ve redone our website, were you can subscribe to a newsletter if you want news on the project.
We also put together a devblog, we’ll talk about isometric wizardry, old school gameplay, and Noodle’s work on the visual department.

There’s also a discord server now. We have no idea how this will work (we were still on IRC two years ago) but this will probably be a way better place to discuss the game than the actual Steam forums.

So let’s celebrate this announcement with 50% off the first game for the week.

This new update (Version 1.3.2) will as well:
- Intoduce a new sandbox-map (100x100)
- New halloween graphics
- Compatibility issues resolved

If pumpkins and ghosts scare you too much though, we'll present a solution on how to play the game in normal mode very soon, here on this page.

Lethis – Path of Progress is getting ready for the holiday with a special update. For 3 weeks, you’ll be able to rediscover the world of Lethis, with more pumpkins and gargoyles!

Changes for version 1.2.2
- 5 new sandbox maps
- New special Halloween decorations
- Some corrections in the English version

If you want to continue playing the classic version nonetheless during these 3 weeks, you can follow the instructions we put on the forums. Obviously, the new content provided by the 1.2.2 is available anyway.
Note: The Halloween event is exclusive on Steam. The DRM Free versions will be updated with the 1.2.2 in the coming days.


Now, some news. As you know, we’re a small indie studio, with limited resources. A few weeks ago, we said goodbye to our animator and our engine programmer, who went to look for new opportunities. This means the 4 of us left won’t be able to heavily support the game. To be perfectly honest with you, this means that:
- We won’t port the game on Mac & Linux
- We can’t work on the Intel integrated chipset support

Lethis – Path of Progress hasn’t reached its ROI (Return on Investment) yet, but we hope that with the help of the sales it will soon be the case, meaning we will have earned as much money as we spent to make the game. The sad reality is that 9 out of 10 games never reach that point. The studio’s financial situation stays fragile, and we have some choices to make.
Lastly, we want to share, that we’re working on another game, which will take place in the Lethis universe too! We’ll share information on that another time though ;-)

… und Lethis – Path of Progress bekommt einige kleine Änderungen. Für 3 Wochen kannst du die Welt von Lethis in neuem, schummrigen Licht entdecken – durch glühende Kürbisse, und gruselig glimmende Gargoyles!

Neues in Version 1.2.2:
- 5 neue Sandkasten-Karten
- Neue Halloween-Dekorationen
- Mehrere Korrekturen in der Englischen Version

Im Falle, dass du dennoch die Klassik-Version spielen möchtest, findest du die nötigen Angaben dazu im Spieleforum auf Steam. Selbstverständlich bleiben die Änderungen und Verbesserungen des Patches auch dann erhalten.
Achtung: Das Halloween-Event ist exklusiv nur auf Steam verfügbar. Die DRM-freien Versionen werden erst in den kommenden Tagen mit dem neuen Patch versorgt werden.


Nun, ein paar Neuigkeiten: Wie viele von euch bestimmt wissen, sind wir ein kleines Indie-Studio mit begrenzten Mitteln. Vor einigen Wochen mussten wir uns von unserem Animator und unserem Engine-Programmierer trennen. Das bedeutet, dass wir zu viert übrig bleiben, und es uns nicht möglich sein wird das Spiel weiterhin mit großen Neuerungen zu verbessern. Dies heißt leider, dass:
- Wir das Spiel nicht auf Mac & Linux porten werden.
- Wir nicht an der Unterstützung für Intel integrated Graphik-Karten arbeiten werden.

Lethis – Path of Progress hat sich bisher nicht rentiert, was bedeutet, dass wir noch nicht genügend Kopien des Spiels verkauft haben, um die Produktionskosten wieder eingespielt zu bekommen. Dies ist generell leider für 9 von 10 Spielen der Fall. Unsere finanzielle Situation bleibt nach wie vor schwierig, und wir müssen daher wichtige Entscheidungen fällen.
Aber eine gute Neuigkeit zuletzt: Wir arbeiten schon an unserem nächsten Spiel, welches auch in der Welt von Lethis spielen wird. Wir werden euch schon bald die ersten Informationen liefern, also bleibt gespannt! ;-)

Quelques nouvelles maintenant. Comme vous le savez, nous sommes un petit studio indépendant aux moyens limités. Plus tôt ce mois-ci, notre animatrice et notre programmeur moteur ont quitté le studio pour partir à la recherche de nouvelles opportunités.
Cela rend le suivi du jeu compliqué pour nous, afin de mettre les choses au clair nous pouvons d’ors et déjà annoncer que :
- Lethis – Path of Progress ne sera pas porté sur Mac & Linux
- Nous n’avons pas la capacité de travailler sur le support des cartes graphiques intégrées Intel

Le jeu a bientôt atteint son seuil de rentabilité, nous espérons que sera le cas grâce aux soldes. Ce qui signifie que nous allons bientôt avoir gagné autant d’argent que nous en avons dépensé pour le réaliser. Presque 9 jeux sur 10 n’ont pas cette chance, malgré tout la situation financière du studio reste fragile et nous devons faire des choix.

Nous sommes au travail sur un nouveau jeu, qui se déroulera également dans l’univers de Lethis, nous partagerons plus d’informations dessus lorsque le moment sera venu.
