This Month

The upcoming April Nova Cup takes place April 26 - 27.

$875 in prizes and sign-up is free - first come first served!
There are up to five skill divisions, so no matter what your rating is, you have a chance to win.
Participation prize: Every participant who plays all of their matches will receive a FREE random card. If you haven't played a tournament yet, this is a great time to join.

Requirements
- Everyone that is level 3 or higher can join for free! First come, first served. So even if you recently joined the game, feel free to participate!

Twitch Drops

When you watch Nova Cups on the official channel, aside from enjoying shoutcasted top-tier Legion gameplay, you'll also receive in-game rewards based on how long you watch!

Watch the official Legion TD 2 Twitch stream during a Nova Cup to earn the following rewards:
- Watch for 60 minutes: 2,000 essence
- Watch for an additional 90 minutes: 4,000 additional essence

Team Sign-up Instructions
  • Sign-ups are open from NOW until April 26 5pm CEST.
  • To sign up, find a teammate and form a party. After you're both in the party, have one player type "/signup [team name]" (e.g. /signup Snail Kings) in chat. You should see a confirmation message that your sign-up went through. For those who participated in previous Nova Cups, you no longer need to do /join to signup.
  • The first 16 teams to sign up in each division can participate. For division 1 and 2 the top 8 teams are drafted per division. Other teams are waitlisted. There are usually no-shows, so waitlisted teams are encouraged to be present in the Discord and ready to play. {LINK REMOVED} to see your sign-up position and division.
  • If there are more than 32 teams checked in, there will be an additional best-of-1 qualifying round to allow more teams to participate. It is a best-of-1, rather than a best-of-3, to keep the event from running overly long.
  • Both players must join the Legion TD 2 Official Tournament Discord. Make sure to set your server nickname to match your in-game name.
Solo Sign-ups
  • You may sign-up as a solo with a suggested team name using the "/signup [team name]" command. Solo teams will be added to the Public Teams list, then be formed into teams on the day of the tournament. Solo teams will be randomly assigned a team name from either of its members.
  • If there is a waitlist, team sign-ups will always take priority over solo sign-ups
  • If you sign up as a solo, but then you find a teammate, you can re-sign up as a team any time before check-ins start. Just use the /signup command again with the new teammate. The tournament organizer will void your old solo signup after they process your new team signup.
  • After check-ins are over, all checked-in solo players will be randomly formed into teams by the tournament organizer. You cannot request a specific teammate at this point; if you want to play with a specific person, you should have signed up as a team instead.
It is still strongly recommended to sign-up as a team to guarantee your spot in the tournament and to give you time to practice with your teammate beforehand.

News
Major Updates

New Mastermind: Stash
  • Start with a piggybank with 19 gold. Each wave, it gains gold. Break it open once to collect the gold.
  • Gold gain per wave scales exponentially from 1 on wave 1 to 200 on wave 21, doubled if you leak.
Stash is a versatile Mastermind that rewards players who are flexible and adaptive. Break open your piggybank early for a quick boost, let it grow and scale into the late game, or save it for an important gold threshold or emergency. Because the stash growth is higher when you leak, it rewards risky play, but don't go leaking every wave - it ain't no Fiesta!

New Skins: Refractions
  • Introducing Refractions, recolored skins that let your favorite units shine in a new light! In addition to unique color palettes, some Refractions also have special VFX.
  • Compared to other skins, Refractions are available at a reduced price point, and they are the only skins that can be acquired for non-premium essence!
  • This patch's refractions include Frozen Nightmare, Bubble Gum Slime Larva / Slime Siren, Dryad Priestess of the Abyss / Azeria, Sanguine Lord of Death, and Nebula Hades

Monthly In-Game Reward Code
  • This month’s ultra-secret code is “workwork” to unlock some free Essence in-game!
  • Each month, a new code will be revealed right here in the patch notes. Codes are only valid during the month they are announced.
Here’s how to enter a code in-game:

Game Balance

Read more about our design philosophy on game balance, and use Drachbot to see mastermind, unit, and spell win rates and pick rates!

Masterminds

Lock-In
Randomming bonus gold: 8 --> 7

Slightly high pick rate and win rate and currently overshadowing Yolo.

Legion Spells

All Out Assault
Mythium: 120 → 115

Slightly high pick rate and high win rate.

Magician
Mana regeneration: 0.5 → 0.48

High pick rate and slightly high win rate.

Robo Squad
Mythium: 50 → 45

High win rate.

Sorcerer
Bonus ability damage: 55% → 58%

Low pick rate and win rate.

Titan
Health: 1300 → 1350

Low pick rate and win rate.

Fighters

Slime Larva
Attack speed decreased by 3.8%

Slightly high pick rate and win rate.

Dwarf Banker / Big Wig
Health and damage increased by 3.6%

Very low pick rate and slightly low win rate.

Crab Warlock / Crabomancer
Summoner damage increased by 6%

Low pick rate and win rate.

Warp Wing
Damage increased by 2.3%

Slightly low pick rate and win rate.

Yozora
Wintry Touch: Attack speed reduction: 0.75% → 1%

Arctaire
Frozen Veil: Attack speed reduction: 2.1% → 2.9%

This buff, intended for last patch, didn’t get properly applied.

Attack speed decreased by 1.9%

Whitemane
Damage decreased by 1.8%

Slightly high pick rate and win rate.

Damage increased by 4%

Slightly low pick rate and low win rate.

Holy Avenger / Sovereign
Attack speed decreased by 2.2%

High pick rate and win rate.

Hades
Mana regeneration decreased by 4%

High win rate.

Mercenaries

Robo
Attack speed increased by 1.1%

A little nudge to encourage Robos on early waves.

Imp
Attack speed decreased by 2.1%

Currently the best-performing mercenary.

Pack Leader
Damage decreased by 2.7%

Pack Leader is highly versatile and rarely a bad send.

Honey Bear
Damage: 110 → 113

We're happy with Honey Bear's design after the changes in February's Update, but it's slightly underperforming.

Ogre
Attack speed increased by 1.7%

Not bad, but isn't rewarding enough to save for when you can access Brute, Imps, and Mimic for cheaper.

Centaur
Damage: 88 → 90

Overshadowed both by cheaper mercenaries and more expensive mercenaries.

Needler
Damage increased by 1.5%

A small nudge to bring it on par with Witch and Shaman.

Waves

Wave 10: Granddaddy
Attack speed increased by 0.9%

Wave 11: Quill Shooters
Attack speed increased by 0.9%

Wave 12: Mantises
Attack speed decreased by 1.4%

Shifting power from wave 12 to 10 and 11.

Wave 15: Quadrapuses
Attack speed decreased by 1.5%

Wave 16: Cardinals
Health increased by 1%

Shifting power from wave 15 to 16.

Classic
Decreased the frequency of Eggsack, Seedling, and Dwarf Banker being rolled. These units are especially strong in Classic where 95% of games go to waves 21+.

Balance Watchlist
The dev team is constantly monitoring game balance, between looking at data and listening to community feedback. If anything is being more closely monitored than usual, it will be listed in this Balance Watchlist section. For this patch, the following are on the watchlist:
  • Castle - Slightly underperforming, but average game length has also been trending up, which indirectly buffs Castle
  • Full eco / "sui" / all-in strategies in the early games - We like that unorthodox strategies are viable, but want to make sure they aren't too common or strong
Improvements

Quest Rerolls
Every week, you now get 3 quest rerolls

Thanks Alexfrog and D2R from Discord.

Optional Classic Ranks
  • You can now toggle on or off visible ranks in Classic
  • This is default off for players currently ranked silver or below in Classic and all new players. Default on for everyone else
We ran a poll on this, and most players want to keep visible classic ranks but there are also a lot of players who want to hide them. We believe this solution is the best way to make both groups happy and make Classic a bit less sweaty.

Minor Improvements
  • Ping Wheel scale slider is now available in Interface settings
  • Legacy Ping Wheel setting is now available
  • Show more than 1 wave ability in the Wave Guide (Thanks to kidk from Discord)
  • Great Boar and Wandering Catapult can now be sold for 90% in Hybrid (Thanks to Early Gas or GG from Discord)
  • Queued mercs and AUTO now show in spectator UI
  • Fixed `Not Even Close` showing up when your king died from a ranged attack
  • Fixed a visual bug with PE after making a purchase
  • Fixed an abuse case with Sea Serpent and Deepcoiler
  • Show teammates gold gained from Bankers, Pixie etc. in the bottom left
  • Added Hybrid gold gain/loss to the bottom left
Game Translations

Legion TD 2's translations continue to be improved, thanks to major contributions from community members! If you'd like to contribute to improving the game's texts further, visit the following link:

{LINK REMOVED}

HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped up to this point!

Closing Remarks

This patch introduces Stash, which we expect will be a pretty high skill cap—and fun—mastermind! We also hope you enjoy using Refractions.

As always, with any major patch, we'll keep a close eye on things and rapidly hotfix as long as needed.

Thank you again for playing Legion TD 2! We hope you continue to enjoy the game.

If you've enjoyed the game, but haven't left a review yet, please consider posting a short (hopefully positive ) review for the game! If the game reaches 90% positive, Steam will give it more visibility = more players = more freelo better matchmaking!

If you enjoy these updates, please give it a Thumbs Up, too!

If you have constructive criticism, let's chat about it. Discord and /r/LegionTD2 on reddit are our main channels of communication, and aside from the development team, there are community helpers who can ensure your feedback is heard, as well as answer pretty much anything you've ever wanted to know about the game. If you want a guaranteed answer from the devs, the monthly AMAs on /r/LegionTD2 are your best bet.

Sincerely,
The Legion TD 2 Team
Legion TD 2 - Multiplayer Tower Defense - Lisk
It's the first of April, and we're back with another blog post!

One of our toughest jobs as devs is dealing with the "bad apples" of the community. We're talking players who AUTO n chill, players who pick Fiesta, or players whose opinions we simply don't like.

For years, some of you have speculated that we manipulate things like your matchmaking queue times, card drop luck, unit targeting, and how often you run into smurfs. That’s ridiculous. We don’t do that. AI does it for us.

We're proud to showcase our proprietary tech: Data-Oriented Game Enforcer, abbreviated as DOGE.

Principles
1. Get that juicy D (Data)
Every time you play, DOGE collects and analyzes everything. Your build order, your positioning, your roll luck, how quickly you hit “play again” after a win versus a loss—it’s all in the system. Think we don't know you started to type "fk the devs" but then erased it before hitting send? Think again.

2. Snoop around. Privacy is a fallacy.
As powerful as DOGE is, it can't peek into your Steam messages or eavesdrop on your Discord rants. For those, we rely on our eyes and ears in the community. Our dedicated staff sniff out bad actors, many before they even type a single message. Sometimes, just the seeing that "is typing..." flicker on and off before a wall of text is enough to know it's not gonna be good. Give them a mute, knock off a few likeability points, and move on.

3. Calculate LikeabilityScore™ and adjust game accordingly
Our proprietary GPT-4.5-based model runs 24/7, calculating a univariate weighted sum (LikeabilityScore™) that combines all your behavior data points into a number between 0 and 100. Roughly (the model is always evolving), this maps to something like:
  • 100 = You rock. We will name a Campaign boss after you. The odds will always feel in your favor, until you decide to throw.
  • 75-99 = You're a good person. Your game will almost never crash, reconnecting actually fully works properly, and cards will come with regularly.
  • 50-74 = Most players land here. You probably roll Pota+Mask more than you should, but otherwise pretty vanilla
  • 25-49 = You're on our watchlist. 60% of the time, your units will lose focus every time. You will tend to match against smurfs, and good luck finding a card. Your game is also more likely to crash/lag.
  • 0-24 = We won’t even read your bug reports. All above de-optimizations and many more, like a tendency to match with teammates from a country you don't like.
Additionally, if your LikeabilityScore hits 0, you may receive a message prompting you to provide five bullet points on why you should still be allowed to play the game. Failure to respond could result in your game uninstalling itself.

Takeaways
Found yourself in an unfair match? It really has nothing to do with the amount of players in your rating bracket currently queuing. Rather, consider that your LikeabilityScore may have recently nosedived. Reflect upon your recent behavior, and consider being a better person instead of blaming a perfect system.

Got 700+ Pity Points? Wondering why your units just focused the full HP Siege Ram instead of the 10% HP wave? You know the answer now.

Closing Thoughts
DOGE is still learning, adapting, and evolving. By ~summer, we estimate it'll be able to dynamically tweak your connection quality, split aggro consistency, and even how often you match with teammates who will listen to your pings. Hopefully with this post, you now know why the game and its community are just so perfect.

Fellow game devs, we hope to license this tech to external parties starting in Q3. Reach out to learn more.

-The AutoAttack Games Team

Congratulations on making it this far. Happy April Fools everyone!

News
Major Updates

New Team Member: Adrien
Please welcome Adrien from France to the team! He will be helping with art and creative work. Adrien did the concept art and icons for the new units this patch, as well as other units you already know and love! You can check out some of his previous work here.

Some of his favorite games include WoW, TF2, LoL, Souls, Sc2, Dota 2, Monster Hunter, and Overwatch. Outside of gaming, he enjoys cooking, art and media, health and neurosciences, taking care of his cat and building places for her to parkour and as he puts it, touching grass. He also played rugby for 10 years, plays the guitar, and is a huge Warhammer40k nerd as an Ork player.

New Unit: Pulsebot
  • Tier 5 (Cost: 185g)
  • Role: Balanced, off-tank
  • Melee / Impact / Fortified

EMP
Every attack splits its damage equally among enemies near the target. Deals 10% more damage for each enemy hit. Also applies a debuff to enemies hit, which reduces defenses by 1% for 3 seconds (stacking up to 15 times).

New Unit: Skybot
  • Tier 5 (Upgrade Cost: 355g)
  • Role: Balanced, off-tank
  • Melee / Impact / Fortified

EMP
Every attack splits its damage equally among enemies near the target. Deals 10% more damage for each enemy hit. Also applies 3 stacks of a debuff to enemies hit, which reduces defenses by 1% for 3 seconds (stacking up to 15 times).

Monthly In-Game Reward Code
  • This month’s ultra-secret code is “babyleakfam” to unlock some free Essence in-game!
  • Each month, a new code will be revealed right here in the patch notes. Codes are only valid during the month they are announced.
Here’s how to enter a code in-game:

Next Month
New Mastermind!

Game Balance

Read more about our design philosophy on game balance, and use Drachbot to see mastermind, unit, and spell win rates and pick rates!

Masterminds

Saboteur
Gold: 3 → 4

Low pick rate. Last patch's nerf went a bit too far.

Fighters

Proton
  • Damage increased by 33%
  • Attack speed increased by 1.8%
  • Ionic Force removed
Proton was sometimes a pain point because it would siphon mana from Sacred Steed.

Atom
Attack speed increased by 1.8%

Low win rate.

Seedling
Attack speed decreased by 4.3%

Sakura
Health and damage increased by 0.9%

Shifting power from Seedling to Sakura.

Howler / Sunfang
Attack speed decreased by 1.9%

High win rate.

Slime Larva
Attack speed decreased by 2.3%

Slightly high pick rate and win rate.

Sea Serpent / Deepcoilier
Attack speed decreased by 1.6%

High win rate.

Banker
  • Health decreased by 8.3%
  • No longer has mana. Now, if it survives, earn 2-8 gold based on wave number.
  • New ability: Short Sell: Gains 10% attack speed that wave but you do not earn gold.

Big Wig
  • Health decreased by 9.1%
  • No longer has mana. Now, if it survives, gain 6-24 gold based on wave number.
  • Reworked ability: Short Sell: Gains 10% attack speed that wave but you do not earn gold.
Keeping Banker's gold-gaining fantasy, while removing the compounding effect and reducing snowballiness. Overall, they will be more versatile and less extreme and won't so heavily reward overbuilding. Also, more skill expression with the new Short Sell.

Warg / Lioness / Alpha Male
Attack speed decreased by 1.1%

Slightly high pick rate and win rate.

Cursed Casket / Cage of Pain / Iron Maiden
Health decreased by 1.5%

Slightly high pick rate and win rate.

Elite Archer / Trinity Archer
Attack speed increased by 1.1%

Low pick rate.

Yozora
Wintry Touch: Attack speed reduction: 0.75% → 1%

Arctaire
Frozen Veil: Attack speed reduction: 2.1% → 2.9%

Low win rate.

Disciple
  • Mana Burst: Damage: 320 → 500
  • Mana Burst: Mana cost: 9 → 14
  • Mana regeneration increased by 43%
  • Intellect (mana gain on kill) removed

Starcaller
  • Damage: 175 → 129
  • Asteroid: Damage: 500 + 1% max health → 1200 + 2% max health
  • Asteroid: Mana cost: 10 → 23
  • Mana regeneration increased by 114%
  • Intellect (mana gain on kill) removed
Intellect helped Disciple be semi-viable as an opening, but it was RNG and weakened its identity as a burst mage. We’re removing Intellect and shifting more power into Starcaller’s Asteroid ability.

Tier 6 Fighters

Tier 6 can be powerful but are often not worth taking because they aren’t helpful in the early game. We’re buffing some of them to make them worth the investment.

Eggsack
Eggsplotion: Area of effect: 150 → 250

Small buff that mainly applies in FeelsBad circumstances where the wave was aggroed just outside of range of the Eggsplotion.

Shadow Dancer
  • Health and damage increased by 8.9%
  • Clone health and damage: 15% → 10%

Dread Knight
  • Health and damage increased by 17.9%
  • Clone health and damage: 15% → 10%
Stronger on their own, but less infinite clear potential.

Lord of Death / Hades
Mana regeneration increased by 29% and 64%, respectively
Intellect (mana gain on kill) removed

This change simplifies their design, removes RNG, and reduces battle snowballing.

Fire Lord / Fenix
Attack speed increased by 2.1%

Crawling Catapult / Wandering Trebuchet
Damage increased by 2.6%

Great Boar / Red Eyes
Charge damage increased by 4%

Millennium / Doomsday Machine
Damage increased by 2.2%

Mercenaries

Imp
Attack speed decreased by 1.1%

Needler
Damage increased by 1.5%

Waves

Wave 11: Quill Shooters
  • Attack speed increased by 1.7%
  • Range: 550 → 400
Quill Shooters are now consistent with other ranged waves, making it easier to manipulate aggro and keep ranged mercs alive.

Wave 12: Mantises
Attack speed decreased by 1.4%

Wave 13: Drill Golems
Health increased by 1.5%

Shifting power from wave 12 to 13.

Minor Updates

  • You can right click a unit row in the tracker to ping it, it will show the damage dealt and ability damage% in the chat.
Ping Wheel
  • 2 more slots (8 → 10)
  • Push Workers! ping
  • 1 more wave in advance ping
Clear/Leak Timer

Team Sign-up Instructions
  • Sign-ups are open from NOW until February 22 9am PDT / 6pm CEST.

Game Balance

Read more about our design philosophy on game balance, and use Drachbot to see mastermind, unit, and spell win rates and pick rates!

Systems

Leak Gold
Leaking is now ~20% economically less punishing from waves 2-8 by and ~20% more punishing from waves 10-21

These changes encourage workers and risk-taking in the early game and non-lethal undercutting in the late game

Pathing and targeting
  • Fixed some cases where mercenaries would unexpectedly path in the wrong direction.
  • Fixed some cases where Sea Serpent and Deepcoiler would unexpectedly be targeted after ranged units that were further away.
Masterminds

Fiesta
Gold from leaking reduced by 1 on all waves

This offsets the changes to leak gold, which are an indirect buff to Fiesta.

Kingsguard
Attack speed and damage reduction: 11% → 10%

High win rate.

Saboteur
7 income → 6 income and 3 gold

High pick rate and win rate. In addition to being a nerf, this gives us a better lever to balance Saboteur.

Legion Spells

All Out Assault
Mythium: 125 → 120

Counterattack
Mythium: 65 → 60

Press the Attack
Mythium: 85 → 80

High win rates.

Pulverizer
Stun duration to non-bosses: 2.2 → 2.5

Very low pick rate and slightly low win rate.

Vampire
Lifesteal and spell vamp: 26% → 28%

Low pick rate and win rate.

Creditor / Embargo / Venture
Now have more accurate power score adjustments on waves 12 and 13 both to reflect their potential power and to better conceal legion spell selection.

Fighters

Seedling
Attack speed: 1 → 0.91

The first balance change Seedling has received since its release almost 3 years ago! Seedling is over-statted, enabling players to do some unreasonable things on waves 1-5.

Chloropixie
Damage: 50 → 51

Shifting power from Seedling to Chloropixie.

Sakura
  • Health: 1350 → 1390
  • Damage: 98 → 104
  • Superbloom: Health: 110 → 80
  • Superbloom: Damage: 8 → 6
  • Superbloom: Stacks on waves 11+: Doubled → Tripled
Shifting power budget from the opening to later in the game.

Angler / Bounty Hunter
Mana values changed to nerf Angler and Bounty Hunter’s synergy with external mana sources (e.g. Steed) by 20%. No other effective changes.

Slime Siren
  • Attack speed: 1.3 → 1.2
  • Mana gained when attacking increased by 56%
  • No longer gains mana when attacked
  • Max mana: 16 → 15
It’s now easier to reach max mana, particularly in the mid and late game, at the expense of reduced stats.

Ranger
Accuracy: Bonus damage to bosses: 5 → 6

Daphne
Precision: Bonus damage to bosses: 15 → 18

Low pick rate and win rate.

Tempest / Leviathan
Attack speed: 1.053 → 1.026

High win rate. Sorry Lucy!

Pirate Skeleton
Attack speed: 0.82 → 0.833

Reverting last patch’s nerf to Pirate Skeleton. Compensation buff because the two strongest Pirate Skeleton openings (Spectral Scallywag and Eggsack) are nerfed.

Spectral Scallywag
  • Health: 2480 → 2400
  • Damage: 124 → 120
  • Attack speed: 0.82 → 0.833
High pick rate and slightly high win rate.

Tree of Knowledge
  • Mana gained when attacking increased by 25%
  • No longer gain mana when attacked
Gaining mana when attacked was situationally advantageous, particularly in the early game and against swarm waves, but this wasn’t an interesting point of strategic choice. Power neutral change.

Crab Warlock
Now less likely to be rolled in Diamond or lower games. Games above Diamond are unaffected.

Crab Warlock is underperforming in high-rated games, but overperforming in low-rated games. Our general philosophy is to balance for high-rated games, but Crab Warlock has become a point of frustration that we feel is important to address.

Tips to beat Crab Warlocks:
  • Send big. When in doubt, save mythium for an extra wave.
  • Send DPS mercenaries, not tanks. Brute, Imps, Pack Leader, Ogre, Witch, and Centaur, depending on the rest of their build.
  • Any wave can work, but wave 16 is your best friend.

Butcher / Head Chef
Attack speed: 0.99 → 1.03

Low pick rate and win rate.

Grarl
Health: 1310 → 1340

This brings back the strategy of Grarl on 1 → Grarl on 2 → Delicacy on 3. Compensation buff because the strongest Grarl opening (Eggsack) is nerfed.

Soul Gate / Hell Gate
  • Spawn health increased by 18%
  • Spawn DPS decreased by 18%
These changes make Soul Gate and Hell Gate less reliant on tanks.

Eggsack
Azurite shell: Damage: 10 → 8

Now easier to break Eggsack on waves 2 and 3. It’s now recommended to “sack” your Eggack (let it die) on wave 2 or 3 if your opponent is saving mythium against you.

Hydra
  • Health: 1860 → 1920
  • Damage: 120 → 123
  • Hydraling: Health: 620 → 640
  • Hydraling: Damage: 40 → 41
Shifting power budget from the opening to later in the game.

Crawling Catapult
Damage: 145 → 150

Wandering Trebuchet
Damage: 373 → 386

Very low pick rate.

Holy Avenger / Sovereign
  • No longer gain mana when attacked (0.09 / 0.162)
  • Mana gained when attacking increased by 57% (1.6 / 2.88)
Now reaches max mana faster. Slightly low pick rate and win rate.

Firelord / Fenix
  • Fixed a bug where Molden Shield and Prismatic Shield didn’t block damage from the 1st attack
  • Fixed a bug where Molten Shield and Prismatic Shield were unintentionally capped (only affected Legion King on waves 21+)
  • Health decreased by 2% as a compensation nerf for the above fixes
Mercenaries

Brute
  • Damage: 55 → 52
  • Maul: Attack speed slow: 4% → 15%
  • Maul: Stacks 6 times → Does not stack
Brute is now stronger on its own and against big targets, but weaker when spammed and against small targets.

Imp
  • Health: 750 → 740
  • Attack speed: 1.07 → 1.06
Slightly high usage rate and win rate.

Honey Bear
  • Damage: 106 → 110
  • Base heal: 650 → 850
  • Heal increase per unit healed: 20% → 5%
Less of a hard-counter to AOE, especially on swarm waves. More versatile and less FeelsBad when you get a DPS bear.

Four Eyes
Attack speed: 2.17 → 2.22

Slightly low win rate.

Shaman
  • Attack speed: 1.3 --> 1.25
  • Blood Rush: 30 damage + 10% attack speed → 50 damage + 20% attack speed
  • Blood Rush: Attack speed: Additive → Multiplicative
  • Blood Rush: Mana cost: 3 → 8
Solidifying Shaman’s identity as a boss-buffer. Stronger on boss waves and with big mercenaries like Needler. Weaker otherwise.

Needler
Damage: 129 → 132

Slightly low usage rate and win rate.

Waves

Wave 8: Kobras
Attack speed: 1.54 → 1.55

Wave 9: Carapaces
Attack speed: 1.53 → 1.5

Wave 10: Granddaddy
Attack speed: 3.64 → 3.67

Shifting power from wave 9 to waves 8 and 10.

Balance Watchlist
The dev team is constantly monitoring game balance, between looking at data and listening to community feedback. If anything is being more closely monitored than usual, it will be listed in this Balance Watchlist section. For this patch, the following are on the watchlist:
  • Potentially strong: Sea Serpent, Aqua Spirit
  • Potentially weak: Elite Archer, Yozora
  • Early game all-in strategies

Classic
  • Mini & Wumbo: Villain and Divine Blessing replaced with Protector and Guardian Angel. Villain was rarely picked, and Divine Blessing was too strong.
  • Mini & Wumbo and Superhero: Fixed a bug where stacking multiple Divine Blessings or Hero buffs didn’t properly stack attack speed
Minor Updates
  • Classic Schedule: Improved UI
  • Newly Upgraded Fighters: Fixed a bug where upgrading from Masked Spirit → False Maiden → Hell Raiser, or Angler → Bounty Hunter → Kingpin in the same wave didn’t properly allow you to downgrade both upgrades
  • Guild War: Now starts 2 hours earlier, to better accommodate East Asia and Oceania
  • Mini & Wumbo: Fixed a bug where mastery points weren’t being earned.
  • Mini & Wumbo: Fixed a bug where upgrade costs were displaying the total gold value instead of the upgrade cost
  • HUD: You can now right-click the purple king upgrade button to say “wants to upgrade the king” - this is particularly useful when playing Saboteur or in other situations where king upgrades are disabled
  • Weekly Quests: Fixed a bug where Play Double Lock-In was mistakenly still given as a quest for some people
  • Saboteur: Fixed another case where a takeover bot could mistakenly still upgrade king for a player who picked Saboteur/Embargo
  • Match History/Sandbox: Fixed a bug where using -load to load a build from match history didn’t properly load rolls in sandbox
