Hi Guys,

I apologize for the long silence, but last year was really intense, I start to work at a big game studios locate on Manchester (CloudImperiumGames) , most of the last year is passed making art test, english test, Visa procedure, and relocating from Italy to England, findind a new house, problems with electric contractors, pratically restarting my life from zero almost without money and with my broken English.
Actually Im working as Vechicle Artist for the game Star Citizen , almost at the ending of my probatory period, after that I can finally stabilize myself and buy a proper PC for restarting to work to my projects on my free time (the studio give me the OK).

Regarding Last Stonelord, I want to retake from the last build i put on Steam based on Unity 5,fixing old bugs and finalizing the map and maybe make better animations, since the situation with Unity 3D is still not clear, all the work done up to now I will probably translate to unreal engine for a sequel of the game.

Unfortunately I cannot give dates or estimates as the free time I currently have is very little, I ask you some patient and to take into account the fact that this game does not bring me any income, and that finishing it is more of a personal challenge than a question of money,
I thank everyone who has decided or will decide to support me again.

Hi guys,

It is with regret that I announce that given Unity3D's new policies of adding a tax on each copy of the game installed and the fact that they have focused more on the sale of services than on the development of the engine, which has been in a sorry state for years now , I decided to no longer support their company after 15 years of use, seeing myself forced to remove the possibility of buying the game hoping to find the way and the time to finish a conversion on an alternative engine (Godot or Unreal).

The last 3 years of trying to update and make the game work on the new versions of unity have been practically a disaster with the project becoming corrupted with every update, now the company has lost all credibility or trust both from me and from many other developers.
I have a version of the game already ported to Unreal at a basic level, but recreating the item and crafting system and other systems that I have on Last Stonelord will require a lot of further study on Unreal Engine.

Furthermore, since the beginning of the year I have been busy with a very long hiring process with a large game development studio in the UK , and from next month I should be moving there to start a new career as a full-time designer, the money and time I can dedicate to this project are finished, although I will continue to dedicate time to it on my free weekends, but I can't promise anything anymore.

I apologize to all of you who have supported me so far but I no longer have the strength at this point to continue the project continuously.

Hi guys,
Sorry for the late news, but until now was really a dire time, actually im completelly broke and i need to spend most of my time on making 3d models to sell for make some cash!

The Big news i can give you for now is the switch from unity3d to Unreal engine 5!

Why this switch?

First, with unity i hit a big wall made of errors, bug, and engine limitations, i use some third party plugin but at every engine update something broke, and i fall on an infinite cycle on remake all the same things.
Second, i dont like the actual way of thinking of unity studios and their ceo, i dont need mobile service that is what they focus now, i need a working engine , and that is not what they are making.

I forced to make a choice from remake the game again on unity with an old and stable version of the engine, or trying a new one like Unreal.

I study Unreal 5 on the last mounths, and surpriselly all i need is already integrated well, and easy to use once you learn the use pipeline, translating my code from unity to blueprint was pretty simple, the only problem i find its the need to re-export all the 3d asset with different criteria, but this allow me to add a polish pass to old models!
In 2 weeks i manage to remake the main menu and the character creators with the save system already working as you can see from the video!



Now even if i love unity and i use it for more than 15 years, switching to Unreal, that allow me to concentrate more on content than Techs, is the only way i find for finish this project on reasonable time.

I hope to give you more news from now on !

Hi guys,
First sorry for the long silence, the last 8 months was awfull , jobs loses and learning new 3d software really have worn me out.
My motivation really fall bad but finally i brace myself and back to working at full speed.

Here the actual beta status!



I added the new pet/follower/mount system , for now you can have one follower + magic summons (not count on max followers), in future you can gain new followers thaks to your city and find pets as drops from monsters or quest, pets and followers can be leveled and pets can also evolved
(ex. loli naga -> naga -> medusa).

I also add ragdolls to monster and a new clothing system that give me less problems in need to make some change on equipments.
Added a lever system for unlocking doors with cinematic support and dialogues for main quest, and a simple treasure chest system for find equipment drops on dungeons.

The game interface was adapted for gamepads and steam deck supports, i remove the old keyboard controls and replaced with a mouse one for simplify game mechanics (like lost ark).

I hope to start uploading the beta for testing soon.

Actual To do list:

- Pet combat assist.
- Finalazing the first story level,
- Fixing art and portrait for the boss and minions,
- Finalizing starting weapons and relative animation for the player,
- Finalazing skills and skillbar,
- Finalazing story Dialogues.

My plan is to relase this update without the sandox part, and releasing the sandbox part swift as possible after i fix the house/item placement with gamepad support and the city management part.

Hi guys,

its almost ready, actually i onlu need to make graphics update , story and testing the new building system, for the next News i hope to release the update (even if its a total remake :D )!

With the new random dungeons making (exept for the first one) , now decoration items are random generated with destructible barrels and crates (with other addictions in future) with physics.

And at last the new ingame UI with animation effect and new crafting and skills panels, and at last the avatar making with the old models style.

Hi guys,

The code rewriting of the game is almost done now, i start to working on UI improvment for integrating the new systems, and i cant wait for show you the last features that allow me to introduce magic, enchanting, summoning and village managment the CARD system!!

At start the card are only droppable items, but after the first use you can learn new skills for crafting it!
For example dropping a fireball card allow you to learn inscription, magery and fire magic skills,
with inscription you can make blank cards , and after the crafting menu under magery you can craft the card you already learn ! and after place on the skillbar for use!

Cards typologi are Monster, magic, attack and effect ( w.i.p) , monster cards are upgradable merging similar ones once you reach lv 10 card, with 3 level of evolutions (ex loli naga > growup naga > Medusa) , one monster card can be used ad summoned pet or inside production houses or defence of your village!

Magery, effect and attack cards are craftable and one time use , i made this way for integrating well on crafting system and dont allow you to spam magic like water, effect and attack card can be used as enchant material for equips.

And finally here the video with the new improvments!
Cards art are placeholder for now, but i take my fun on making all the arts for sure!

Hi guys,
i want to share some change on dialogues, combat and a new shader for dungeons effect!

My objective for combat is to make something without mob that charge head on, but with some variety on behaviors, for now is raw but some change from the alpha is visible!

On this video i can show the new Hidding skill in action, even if on release you cant move this way but more like ultima online, with the stealth skill for moving hidden for some second based on skill levels,
Skills now have 10 levels with percentual progression like old version, the new combat system allow you to make backstabs too now.

The new Art for Dialogues are now animated, and i change the dialogue system for something more readeable.

Sorry for not show you the new avatar makig, but during the last fixing something broke and i need to re-check all!.

Hi guys, i just finish to rewrite my water system with some nice updates, with physics and wave generators integrated whit my water shader, for making boat, raft and other thing floating nicelly!

Hi guys,

Last week i finished a new housing system for a better roof and walls management (see trough ecc) , now you can freely create a whole house, castle , village piece for piece as you like , like fance walls on the old system, im looking forward to see your creations in future.

Thanks to this, i manage to implement a new and bigger random generated world (one for every characters) , random generated dungeons, villages and monsters fort on the map!

Other progress are the dialogue/quest system finished and the first part of the story quest with an introductive tutorial, a new combat system that change moving in combat mode ( target look on mouse or gamepad stick) .

I will to start the testing for the update releasing after finish the first quest part , hoping some client job dont slow me down again.

I just finish to made the equip graphic conversion and i add a little magic bonus on clothes!
There is some little cloth penetration but really look cool now!
