We’re incredibly excited (and honestly, a bit emotional!) to finally let you know that the next step in the ISLANDERS journey is here! 🏝️

ISLANDERS: New Shores is part of Steam’s City Builder & Colony Sim Fest, and we’ve released a DEMO that’s live for a limited time. This is your first chance to get hands-on with the game, and as long-time fans, we’d absolutely love for you to be among the first to try it out.

🌋We’ve taken everything that made the original ISLANDERS special and expanded on it - gently and carefully, like one of your best building placements. Whether you're a high-score chaser or someone who just loves zoning out and building something beautiful, there’s so much here for you to explore.

• New Islands - Explore majestic new island types. Volcanic peaks in the “Lava” islands, or the tranquil beauty of the “Fantasy” islands.
  
• Photo Mode - Capture and share your stunning island creations with customisable filters and a turntable camera.
  
• Expanded Soundtrack - Enjoy 75 minutes of original music that sets the perfect mood for your building adventures.
  
• Dynamic Scoring Systems - Master innovative scoring methods - such as line of sight, distance bonuses, and inter-island strategies - to enhance your gameplay.
  
• Boons - Unlock single-use power-ups that give you unique tactical advantages as you progress.
  
• Twitch Integration - Streamers can now engage their audiences directly with interactive features built into the game.

Greetings Islanders!

We have just implemented a new patch which will address some of the issues raised by the Islanders community. Here's what you can expect:

• Added an option to switch from the enhanced UI to the classic UI of the original game
  
• The Conqueror achievement has been adjusted to be more attainable
  
• Mac warning message "Your MacOS OS does not support 32bit builds" will disappear with the new patch

Easter Patch

Expanded Photo Mode
Added a UI menu that allows to add filters, frames and prints to the Photo Mode
New achievements
New achievements have been added.
The most difficult achievements that were already available have been changed to be cumulative instead of being obtained in a single round:

• Builder
  
• Explorer
  
• Mayor
  
• King
  
• Emperor
  
• Constructor
  
• Adventurer
  
• Explorer

Building event skins

Added an option to change the building skin models via Settings

Switch building model (Sandbox mode)

While placing some buildings (Houses, Mansions, Water Plateaus and Parks), pressing CMB (Central Mouse Button) the building model
changes, allowing the user to select which building model wants to place

Added new music
Added an option to create a customizable music playlist via Settings

Steam Trading Cards

Added Steam Trading Cards, including unlockable badges, profile backgrounds and emojis

Expanded Sandbox Mode

The sandbox mode received significant improvements with two features:

UX Improvements:

• We placed the delete button out of the building zone in the UI.
  
• Also, users have a new shortcut to delete all the buildings on the island.

Island generation window: A new window to modify the parameters of island generation with variables like island types, biomes or weather.

Island archive

• Players can save and load islands created with the sandbox mode.
  
• There are 20 save slots for islands.
  
• Every save is displayed with useful data so it's easier to recognize or remember each island.

Friends Score Tab

• We implemented a new filter in the leaderboard to display scores from players' friends.

Day/Night slider settings menu

• Players can now use a slider in the settings menu to change the time of the day/night, pause it or play it

21st Island tip
Upon reaching the 21st island on Highscore Mode, a tip will inform the user that it won't be able to move to the next island as that one is the last one of them, however it can keep scoring points.

Valentine's Day event
This event replaces the Christmas event. It includes themed buildings, music and VFX.

Thank you as always for letting us know when you experience issue with the game.

We have updated the game to fix the following:

● Adjusted building lights at night.
● Adjusted wrong scoring interactions when placing huts.
● Fixed "undo" button malfunction.
● Added "Exit game" button in the score screen.

• Adjusted UI for 4k resolution screens (start and tutorial buttons are now smaller).
• Adjusted day and night cycle to recover previous illumination. Shadows move again with the camera.
• With mouse the next available card is not auto-selected. On controller is available as in the console version.
• Added new graphic option Bloom to avoid excessive brightness on screen.
