Event boss Satan Klaus makes a return!
He can be found deep in the North Pole on Hell difficulty only. The quest to fight Satan Klaus is available every 24 hours from completion for the duration of the Winter Event.
Additionally to getting great loot, Satan Klaus can drop three different tiers of Wintery hats! Because Christmas is a time to spend time with friends and family, the more players in your party, the better chance you have to obtain the most epic, luxurious Winter hats!

General Changes
-Boss runes were re-named to High Runes. High Runes have distinguishable red color and also an unique drop sound.
- Many aspects of the game have been visited to tackle performance issues. Player should have smoother experience while roaming around Tarethiel
- Each zone has had a visual facelift: Go explore the world to find out!
- Sheep King found in Sheeponia got a rework and a facelift! Jefrey is now an uber boss, and has a chance to drop brand new Sheep King's Set items!
- Town, and especially target range has had a slight make-over: You can now test your AOE damage on pack of enemies with "Pack-o-Dummy" Configuration!
- Lot of new sound design can be found also in different areas and places.
- Chaos Tower rewards are reworked completely.
- Leaderboard - Wormhole decay: This is an important update, so make sure to read all info about this
- Windows version is now 64bit
- Tons of back-end improvements for security and stability

UI Changes
- Journal now includes achievements, relics and runes list.
- Quest windows were updated, and they now show the possible reward for completing the quest
- Dungeon keys now have their own place in players backpack - The Key Ring. That menu holds under -every key to a dungeon you have picked up.
- Settings now have "reset" option
- Fixed lower shrines from overwriting larger shrines buffs & now should refresh timer

Dungeon Balance
- Added 2 new dungeons! Arm Storage in Steam Train (Act 6) & Distorted Horizons in Event Horizon (Act 7)
- Made various quality of life updates to older key dungeons, as they had very tight corridors and problematic pathing
- Dungeon Reward chests now drop 50 000 Gold each. Also the amount of rubies dropped was increased.
- We felt like some dungeons were not as rewarding as others so we made some balance changes to them.

Wormhole Changes
- "Wormhole keys" were renamed as "Next Wormhole" to avoid confusion
- 10 new Wormhole maps with brand new fresh themes!
- We have given a lot of thought for wormhole and competitive side of HS in general and we have implimented a couple big changes to Wormhole and Leaderboard mechanics
- Wormholes no longer drop items or experience without completing a succesfull clear; this means every enemy must be defeated before the timer runs out, and the boss must be slain. Only after these 2 requirements are met, does EXP and loot raining down. Succesfull run also auto-upgrades the wormhole level (So no more button pressing - or rather - forgetting to press one while speeding trough the cosmos)
- Leaderboard Decay system; top ranks will have to show activity to keep their rank active.

Class Changes
- Increased burning and bleeding stacks
- Increased some dot durations
- Fixed the Hero Levels so Oversized perk works and that Shockwave doesn't have - Oversized+Shockwave
- Reduced the 1.5x MF herolevel to 0.5x
- Changed 5% critical chance Hero Level talent to 8%
- Changed 5% movement speed Hero Level talent to 10%
- Adjusted some relic %stats
- Added buffs for magic find and damage to work properly
- Player is no longer able to change talents while in combat
- "Fixed a lot of poor DPS classes damage"
- Adjusted XP curve
- Leveling process should feel much more pleasant and rewarding compared to S13

Nomad
- Increased speed on flying scimitar to be viable

- Reduced the proc rate and damage on Eye of Ra ability

- Increased Holy Hammers speed and distance

Necromancer
- Fixed damage issues with Skeleton Army

Marauder

Pyromancer

- Increased Tire Fire damage and adds a strong burn

- Reduced Healing Zone damage reduction from 25% to 10%

WORMHOLE LEVEL DECAY
We have given a lot of tought on wormhole and leaderboard ranking system and overall competitive side of the game.
This season we are implimenting a decay system for the top 50 players on each softcore leaderboard.
When your character has completed its first Wormhole you can see the decay timer on your character slot on the character selection screen.

FAQ about the decay:

How much does my level decay?
If your decay timer runs out you will lose 5% of your Wormhole level. For example a top 50 player with a Wormhole level of 100 loses 5 levels and the timer resets to seven days.

How long can I be absent of wormhole pushing before decay affects me?
The decay affects you if you are in top 50 of your characters leaderboard and you have not cleared a wormhole in 7 days
You can prevent this decay happening by clearing a wormhole succesfully. One succesful run adds one day to your decay timer, up to 7 days.

Why adding a decay?
We believe that this will improve competition on seasonal Softcore characters, rewarding those who play actively throughout the season. Around an hour of play weekly should be enough to keep you from decaying. This is by design, as the system is new and we don't want it to be too punishing.

Is this system permanent?
We feel like this is the right way to go for Season 14. We will listen to the community feedback and adjust accordingly for the seasons to come!

Hello everyone,

Season 14 Beta is now live!

We will be releasing a more detailed set of patch notes in a few hours from now but here are some things you can look forward to in the S14 Beta:

-New Zone Assets, many of the above ground act zones have had their entire sprites and themes change to be more thematic.
-New Item tier, Chase tier. These items are linked to a specific zone and have a rare drop chance. Work together with your friends to find these lost items.
-Item Rebalance. In S13 our items were not exactly on point as many of you know. We are working very hard to ensure the items feel great to wield or trade to others rather than just being the item you leave on the floor. These changes should also open up other build options. Not all items have been updated just yet but as we go through the beta these will be addressed.
-Drop Balance Changes. Drop rates in S13 were not on point and drops felt too rare. Now you should see an increase in overall drops.
-Chaos Tower reward system has changed including drop rates from King Rahkul. Pushing farther into the Chaos Towers now grants you better rewards. The higher level King Rahkul's that you kill also increase the odds of his drops increasing.
-Wormhole Changes. Wormholes are now focused on competing on the ladder rather than as a farm zone. Every wormhole you enter, you will not gain and experience or loot until you successfully complete the timer and kill the boss. Your WH level will automatically +1 after the boss kill.
-Ruby drops. Bosses, Act Bosses, Dungeon Chests and Uber Bosses now drop more crystals/rubies since there were some issues in S13.
-Tons on quality of life changes from reducing slowdown, fixing skills that created a lot of fps issues, changes to the Adventure Journal and many more.

This is just a short preview of some of the work we have done to make the world of Tarethiel better and we will continue to move forward and bring new life to Hero Siege.

Hello!

Hero Siege servers will be undergoing a maintenance next Tuesday, on September the 7th.
The maintenance will take place from 07:00 UTC to approximately 13:00 UTC. Online play will be unavailable during this time.

[IMPORTANT]
Non-season characters from season 9 and below will not be playable after September the 6th!
We're deploying a patch a day before the maintenance. The pre-season 10 characters no longer work after this update.
How to keep your character?
Simply launch Hero Siege and jump into the game with your old character before the patch. Then save and exit and your character will be converted to the new format.

-Reduced all stat attributes on Mythic shields as they were better than most Chest piece

Monsters
-Reduced Hell monster hp by 15%
-Increased Hell monster damage by 10%
-Removed Gaben as a wormhole boss that was a beta tester meme
-Removed Aldo

-Reduced the mana scaling quite a bit overall, I will still be messing with this over the next few days until the value is good

General
- Removed Inferno Difficulty from the game, making Hell the last difficulty
- Wormholes now open at level 80
- Lots of new wormholes added
- Experience curve increased, making 80-100 a bit longer grind

- Cracking floor tiles won't break down if you have flying!
- Adjusted inventory tooltips, fonts and colors.
- When comparing weapons, if your class can't use the weapon it won't show any increase or decrease of the stats.

- Drop system and Tier system reworked, MF now has a lot more weight on tiers and the system is more random and less heavy
- Normal-Myth item drop system also reworked and simplified
- Socket system for normal items re-worked and max sockets are now defined by difficulty so bases mostly drop only in hell difficulty
- The whole item system re-worked to bring more optimized performance
- Legendary Items can now be Upgraded to 3/3 levels, Mythic items to 5/5 levels using Gold
- Added confirmation to scrap items
- Reduced cooldown on basic potions

- Angelics on the ground now have beam of light shooting out of them

- Added color indicator Which ability is 'built in' the item and which is added with Ability Token
- Weapon proc abilities are now proccing lot more frequently (Before they were included in same pool as relics, which caused them to proc a lot less)

10 Whole new Wormhole maps with fresh themes
Couple new special dungeons: Underground Garden in Act 5 zone 2, Temple Trapdoor in Act 5 zone 5 and Unmarked Grave Act 6 zone 1
Wormholes has received a lot of small QOL life changes. Areas have been widened, problematic spots have been revisited and redone to make the flow of the maps more enjoyable

Quests
- Quest items like "Body parts" won't drop anymore after you have collected the required amount

Relics
- Multiple new Relics added into the game
- Reduced Dislocated Eyes range, it used to be map wide
- Some re-works on existing Relics
- Buffed dabox drops
- Daddy's Keychain, Fortune Card, Lottery ticket & Skeleton Key doesn't take a relic spot anymore (No need to rejoin lobby )

Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug where you could buy more than 99 crystal keys
- Fixed issues with cursor in character sheet screen
- New supporter wings shouldn't show lock icon on them anymore if you have bought them
- Mercenary and companion shouldn't overlap anymore while idle state
- Fixed an issue where [Blocked] text would be shown multiple times even if monster blocked only once
- When completing "Collect Bricks" sometimes the other relic would get destroyed if player moved, the relic spawn is now static.
- Fixed a bug that allowed you to see whole map momentarily when entering new zone
- Fixed a bug where character sheet wouldn't update while adding passive skills to skill tree
- Fixed a bug which caused some dot classes, not to be able to apply dots properly (Necromancer / Pyromancer)

Amazon
- Fixed Amazons spearnage having small casting delay
- reworked Spearnage visuals a bit and made it more fluid

Necromancer
- Fixed a bug which allowed you to have unlimited skeletons
- Poison Barb got a facelift
- Fixed Poison Barb shooting off crosshair
- Increased Poison Burst range
- Tweaked the AI of minions

Lancer
- Fixed a bug where casting "Shield Wall" would leave echoing sound on the spot
- Removed knockback from Shield Bash
- Fixed counter animation and range, it now has longer range than before
- Flank now deals damage properly and it has small aoe

Marksman
- Disengage is now more fluid and the projectiles shouldn't fly above enemies that easily
- Explosives Technician grenade explodes now faster
- Buffed Cluster Bomb range (It's the same now with Explosive Technician)

Viking
- Increased range of Seismic Slam slightly and gave it a better visual
- Added a shield as starting weapon option for viking
- Weapon master talent now works with 1h and shield, it gives you the buff when ever you block (max 2 stack)
- Increased Shockwave visuals
- Halved Shockwave stun duration from
- Increased Shield Bash AoE

Demon Slayer
- Set bonus that allows you to shoots shadowy projectiles in demonform, now pierce and have larger hitbox
- Buffed Unholy Possession proc rate, damage, duration and the AI is more aggressive
- Removed knockback from Bullet Hell
- Vitals only work for melee
- Trigger finger first projectiles now always pierce, also made the animation cycle more fluid
- Execute now properly buffs skill damage
- Eagle Eye no longer "pulls" enemies, only breaks armor.

Samurai
- Omnislash now teleports properly between enemies
- Fixed a bug when Exploding Bola got attached to enemy it restarted the explosion timer
Pyromancer
- Removed knockback from Comet and Meteor
- Cleared the visuals on Armageddon
Paladin
- Removed knockback from Divine Storm & Thunder Hammers

Redneck
- Removed knockback from Firebreak
- Increased the movement & attack speed of Pickup Raid
- Chainsaw Massacre AOE now scales per level
- Bear Trap now activates instantly when in contact with enemy
- Increased Pipe Bomb throw speed, AOE and they explode on contact.
- Fixed Chainsaw Massacre causing armor breaks to multiply
- Fixed Chainsaw Massacre mask/hitbox a bit (this should feel like longer range)
- Redneck lumberjack set now grants up to 6 charges to firebreak but firebreak only does 1 nova per cast

Pirate
- Removed knockback from pirates Anchor Swing
- Land Ahoy cannonball spread / hitboxes got tweaked so it feels more accurate and fluid to play with
Shaman
- Removed knockback from Elemental Blast & Fire totem

White Mage
- Absorb Shield (level 36 talen) now has a cap on the shield
- Black Mass now shows debuff icon on enemies
- Mana Orb now flies and pulses faster
- Soul Spurn absorb shield now has a cap

Marauder
- Gladiators Glory (set bonus) adds now 2 extra chain traps as well.

Nomad
- Fixed Sandstorm duration, it's now actually 5 seconds like the tooltip states
