Hello!

Today I arrive with a small fix to the Manufacturing pains that have been reported. We have heard your feedback on the manufacturing and we are working towards a more interesting manufacturing future, one that has more optimizations, options and requires less planning. For the time being we hope this solution offers some reprieve.

You can now go to Settings -> Gameplay and set a multiplier for Manufacture Time from 1 to 10x decreasing the time it takes for machines to process any recipe up to ten times.



Hopefully this improves the experience for now, until we can offer something more interesting and balanced.

We finally received funding to continue with the game development! A lot of you have been waiting patiently for any news so let me show you what to expect.

If you’re new here…
… or need me to refresh your memory: Resistance 204X is a fast-paced 2D fighting game that takes a twist on the traditional fighting game formula and puts it into a blending machine with Nidhogg and Footsies. Your objective: Fight strategically, disrupt your opponent with powerful combos and reach the other end of the stage. It’s easy to learn, but hard to master!



What has been going on? Let’s quickly catch-up:
After quite a long time of solo-developing Resistance, Julio founded Yaga Studio in early 2024 together with Georg and Katharina! I, Lola, recently joined the team to help spread the word about Resistance. The team now consists of a multicultural mix of awesome people, who are excited to finally bring the vision for Resistance 204X to life, woo-hoo!

Dear Managers 🥐

We’re happy to kick off this second devlog with an announcement: from now on, we’ll be sharing one devlog every week!

Today’s update introduces two new carts:
  • One to help you carry dishes,
  • And another to help you unload boxes from the delivery truck more easily.
You can buy as many of them as you need.

The dish cart lets you transport a large number of items:
  • Up to 10 ready-to-serve dishes,
  • 50 dirty plates,
  • And dozens of glasses.
This will greatly optimize your trips between the kitchen and the dining area.
Even better—you can interact directly with tables and the sink, without needing to use the tray!




To speed up deliveries, in addition to two delivery workers who now run instead of walk, you also have access to a hand truck that can carry up to 3 boxes at once.
And maybe... just maybe... it has another surprise use too 👀

🌍 Environment & Technical

Optimized existing environment to improve performance (ongoing process — still learning best practices).

Temporarily paused adding new environments to focus on optimization and refactoring how solo/multiplayer maps load — still in the works!

🎓 Tutorial Improvements

  • Restored tabletop to tutorial scene.
  • Added arrows to help guide players in the tutorial.
  • “Roll” and “End” buttons now appear on the control panel during tutorial.
  • Reworked and clarified several tutorial prompts.
  • Fixed selected score showing twice in tutorial.

🎲 Gameplay & Dice Fixes

  • Added locked dice tracking to selection system (required a save rework — unlocks have been reset).
  • Fixed dice rolling outside play area and not respawning correctly.
  • Fixed selecting more dice than allowed when including scoring dice.
  • Fixed bug where 3x doubles displayed the wrong score.
  • Fixed another case of extra dice appearing in the UI. (Still watching it… 👀)
  • Fixed dice going through the table again.
  • Fixed click delay when selecting dice after a roll.
  • Dice now make proper table sounds when rolling.

🎧 Audio Fixes

  • Removed song "Zazie."
  • Fixed a bug where in-game audio was too loud until ESC menu was opened.
  • Fixed dice sounds restarting background music.
  • Fixed music doubling up during gameplay.
  • Fixed clients not hearing music correctly in multiplayer.

🧩 UI & Settings

  • Fixed settings not applying correctly or showing incorrect values in the options menu.
  • Labels “Kept” and “Playing” added to dice container for better clarity.
  • Reworded "Doubles" to "Pair of Doubles" in the help menu.
  • Updated button text in various places for consistency.
  • Chatbox now supports multiple lines.
  • Fixed reroll value not updating correctly in multiplayer.
  • Fixed player names not appearing in lobby after starting a new game (potentially).
  • Set Window Mode to Windowed Fullscreen
Disc Golf Playtest - CWD_gamedev
Some of you may have noticed that the disc would occasionally stick to the outside of the basket on a high speed collision. That issue should now be resolved... (hopefully)

Some other issues with navigating the menu system with a gamepad have now also been fixed.
