Happy 3rd Anniversary of HARDCORE MECHA!

Steam Summer Sale is underway again. Every tear at this time, we'll be seeing big discount and it is the time to snap up a bargain.

We'll also recall all the memory about Hardcore Mecha's release at that time. ( HaMei (which is the first two initials in English and means a cute little girl in Chinese) is the nickname of HARDCORE MECHA called by team members, so we use HaMei to refer in the following content)

It's hard to believe that it's already been 3 years since HARDCORE MECHA 's release! HaMe is 3 years old and is a cute lady already!

From a small studio of three people, working on a "hovering balcony" (our balcony is on the outside of the building and looks like it's hovered in the air), to the release of the prototype machine on Weibo. Even though little people shows interest in that, it slowly attracted many like-minded friends to join the team and to form the original 7 people of "Unlicensed Developer Group".From the beginning of crowdfunding on Kickstarter, to the little-known project at Tokyo Games Show; from the success of crowdfunding, to the Independent Game Award at Tokyo Game Show.
Even though the game was postponed twice and finally came out to face the patiently waiting players, it unexpectedly won a variety of super cool achieements and awards, including the PlayStation Indies&developer game awards. HaMe witnessed RocketPunch and all RocketPunch developers' one and another first time.

In this journey of ups and downs, we have gained too much. Looking back at our own design of mecha body into physical models, our own creation of the game launched more platforms and even successfully collaborated with our own favorite animation, nothing can happen without all your support!

We would like to take the opportunity of the 3rd birthday of HaMe to say a word to you, to who have been with us for three years. THANK YOU, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

In the future, with the company of HaMe, we will work harder and harder to make more and more interesting games, and to fight the strongest "Rocket Punch"!

During this good New Year holidays, we have prepared a sound bug fixing patch for update. And we also fixed some problem in survival simulation and multimode.
We wish everyone can keep healthy in the new year!

●Fixed Dragoon showing the wrong score issue in multimode.

●Fixed anomalies during Geier and Arash transformations in survival simulation.

It is almost the end of the year, 2020 has been a year like no other in our lifetime.
We would like to send our thoughts and best wishes to everyone, and we feel super lucky to have all our players’ support.

In this last update for HARDCORE MECHA this year, we are introducing the brand-new Reply Function, which can be used to record exciting matches to view as playback and share with friends!

Below is the list of updates:

- Introducing ‘Replay Function’

Save replay function added. Online Battles will automatically save replays by default, while a prompt will appear after Local Battles. Go to Settings to change replay save configurations.


Replay browser interfaces added. Enter via the Multiplayer menu to inspect, play, pin, or delete locally saved replay info.
When the number of replay files reaches the storage limit, the system will delete the oldest unlocked replay files first. So please remember to lock the replay files you would like to keep.


Play replay function added. Adjust speed, switch players, or switch to free cam while playing a replay, We hope these functions will be helpful for you in battle analysis and video creation.

Adjustments to Simulation Mode
●Enhanced the functionality of advanced weapons in Simulation Mode.
●Added intermediate and advanced attachments for sale.
●Changed lowest quality of dropped intermediate and advanced attachments to green.

Adjustments to Multiplayer
Dragoon / Sabre
●Reduced the damage of Dragoon’s dual-beam cannons.
●Reduced the damage of Dragoon’s charge cannon.
●Increased Dragoon’s kill score.
●Decreased Sabre’s kill score.

Halberd
●Reduced guided-missile speed.
●Reduced guided-missile capacity.
●Increased APCR missile damage.

Under the technology limit and game balance, We reduce most abilities in the game, and these can be controlled by your hands.

If you ask us what we insist, so we have to mention the most important feature of Hardcore Mecha------To make players feel the mecha from the anime, and this time we did it again.

For example, in the anime when Gurren Lagan throws its glasses out to freeze the enemy than raise its giant drill. Generally speaking, these two movements should be together and hit the target 100%, but we decide to split them into two parts,



Players will find out Giga Drill Break is hard to hit someone who has prepared for defense, so this time you need to charge Gurren Boomerang to freeze the enemy, then dash to cancel backswing, so you can start Giga Drill Break. When you finish your enemy with your combo, we believe everyone can understand why Kamina create these with his life. If everyone can feel what Simon feels when he cast abilities, we will very glad to see that.

Thanks to the pilot feature, we can restore Simon in the game. We design ability with high damage for Simon------Core Drill.



Just like the battle of the Spiral King in the anime, everyone has a chance to damage the enemy's mecha.

There is still much exciting design in the game, but we hope the player can find them out in the DLC. We hope you enjoy the game!

We want to thank you all for the continuous feedback, we have been reading every single piece of advice, and updating the game to ensure you will get the best experience!

Today we have optimized the following in Multiplayer mode:

Thunderbolt
●Beam Rifle damage is further reduced by distance.

Crimson Flame
●New defence action added.

Round Hammer
●Defence Shield speed slightly increased.
●Firing main cannons horizontally will directly strike the enemy.

Geier EVOL
●Reduced speed of Flight Mode.
●Beam SMG fire rate increased and changed bullet design.
●Rocket capacity increased.

Viperid
●Beam gun damage is further reduced by distance in Normal Mode.
●Beam Cannons will no longer destroy your own Floating Mines.
●Melee attacks have been changed to dash attacks.

Knell A3
●The cooldown of Rocket Anchor has been greatly reduced.
●Energy cost of Boost has been greatly reduced.
●Increased damage of melee attacks mid-air.
●Reduced charge up of melee attacks mid-air.

Dragoon / Sabre
●Greatly reduced the value of Dragon Shield, but increased recovery speed.
●Increased fire rate of dual-beam guns, but decreased damage.

Halberd
●Increased AOE range and damage of Guided Missiles, but decreased direct damage.
●Main weapon missile lock-on time decreased.
●Shield penetrating missiles have the ability to cause Freeze.

Shepherd Support Type
●Reduced cooldown of Radar.
●Switching to Sniper Mode is now faster.
●Secondary weapon—Chest Vulcan—has been changed to grenades.
●SMG bullet speed increased, but range has decreased.
●Melee attacks have been changed to dash attacks.

C.R.U.S.H.
●Score has been reduced.
●Greatly increased shield value, and guard no longer takes damage.
●Greatly increased Energy consumed by melee attacks, but melee damage is increased and adds super armour.

Seeker III
●Greatly increased dual pistol fire rate, but slightly decreased damage.
●Decoy Missile display changed to look like actual mechas.

Geier IDS
●Increased AOE range and damage of bombs, but decreased direct damage.
●Increased main weapon missile capacity.
●Missile lock-on time decreased.

Buccaneer
●All melee damage has been increased.
●Hand Grenade AOE damage increased.

Heavy Assault Engineer
●Rocket Launcher damage increased.
●Shoulder Mines now fire 4 at a time. The total damage has been increased, but direct damage has decreased.
●Melee attacks have been changed to dash attacks.

Kurenai Edge
●Greatly reduced Energy consumed by melee attacks.
●Added slight Energy recovery when descending.

Typhoon Heavy Type
●Melee cooldown decreased.
●Pistol damage increased.

Arash
●Switching to Sniper Mode is now significantly faster.
●You can now deploy Floating Mines while in Sniper Mode.
●Reduced Sniper Rifle firing speed, but decreased single-fire Energy consumption.

Round Hammer Particle Cannon
●Switching to Cannon Mode is now faster.
●Ground Boost speed increased.
●Increased range of fire for Particle Cannon when shooting targets from above.

Shepherd Jäger
●Throwing Knife cooldown increased, but damage is also increased.

Graeme
●Energy cost of Boost has decreased.
●New mid-air melee attack added.

Assault Pilot
●Rifle Grenade cooldown decreased and damage increased.
●Assault Rifle fire rate increased and damage dealt to Mechas slightly increased.

Edgar Fieldbach
●Grenade cooldown decreased, but damage increased.

Tarethur O'Connell
●Grenade cooldown decreased, but damage increased.
