Just Survive - <DGC>Lieutenant_Toast

Dear Survivors,

As we announced back in August, we've made the difficult decision to sunset Just Survive on Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT. All game servers will be coming offline at that time, and the game will no longer be available for play.

While this chapter for Just Survive has come to an end, we are discussing the possibility of allowing our partner and developer of Z1 Battle Royale, NantG Mobile, to bring Just Survive back online and take over development of the game sometime in the future. Should we have further information to share regarding that matter, we'll be sure to inform you accordingly.

Thank you again for the countless hours of fun across Pleasant Valley and Badwater Canyon - we appreciate your support and dedication to Just Survive.

Best,

The Just Survive Team at Daybreak Games

Dear Survivors,

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset Just Survive on Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT. The excitement of the game’s promise was palpable and its loyal community is still full of ideas for its future. Unfortunately, we are no longer in a position to fulfill its greatness and the current population of the game makes it untenable to maintain.

Just Survive was part of our first Early Access project, and we learned a great deal during its development. As with any open world game, the greatest stories came from our passionate players. From the incredibly skilled base builders to the free-ranging gangs, and all of the players named variations of “ImFriendly” and “PleaseDontShootMe”, we hope everyone had amazing adventures across Pleasant Valley and Badwater Canyon.

Thank you for taking the time to play the game, to help test it when we opened the Test servers to the public, and for all of the suggestions and feedback throughout Early Access. We truly appreciate everyone’s commitment and your contributions throughout the development process. Our promise is to do better and learn from every experience along the way.

Just Survive servers will remain available for play until Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT, and starting immediately all Steam purchases and in-game transactions have been disabled. To find out if you are eligible for a refund via Steam, please visit this link.

Thank you again for your support and dedication to Just Survive.

Best,

Hello survivors!

We have just updated Live with the following:
  • Lifetimes for traps and other "placeable" objects has been drastically shortened if they're not placed on a foundation or in a shack.
  • Duct tape has been removed from the plated armor recipe, and replaced with composite cloth.
  • Periodic shuddering due to an approximately one second hitch has been fixed.
  • Many more crates have been added to the gator recipe.  Enjoy!  If you find specific items that are missing or very desirable, please feel free to list them.
  • Player bases take progressively more damage from explosions the longer they have been abandoned.  Bases that have been vacant for almost a week should be very easy to clean up, allowing other squads to take over an area.  We expect to tweak the math underlying this feature, so please give feedback.
  • Several more anti-cheat modules have been added.
We noticed a problem during the Live patch QA pass with traps on Foundations. Some of them are not persisting properly. We will be looking into this for a possible hotfix.

Greetings Survivors! Today's update to the Just Survive live servers includes the following changes:
  • Several new categories of anti-cheat.
    • We have been tuning these on Test to limit the amount of false positives.
  • Better version of recursive destruction.
    • It's quicker, and should destroy the appropriate structures.
  • Better version of crouch-spam penalty.
    • Our 3rd version of this gives a small movement limitation when the player goes in and out of crouch too quickly.
  • Corrected upgrade costs for building.
    • The earlier changes to construction did not extend to upgrading pieces. Now they do.
  • Removed returned materials from destruction.
    • With how easy it is to build, this was no longer needed.
  • Fixed the shacks to be more secure.
    • There was a problem with the "secure volume" within locked shacks.
  • Slightly increased the chance for fertilizer to spawn in other locations, inside boxes and crates.
    • These are the destructible boxes and crates scattered through the map.
  • Fixed periodic "hitch" that was causing some people to hit the lag limit.
  • Any locked Crates in your inventory should now be unlocked.
    • Enjoy! Thanks for playing Just Survive!
There was a change to our shadow and flora pipelines for performance gains. Our suggestion is that you:
  • Log out
  • Delete or rename your UserOptions.ini file in your Just Survive folder
  • Log in
  • Try all of the default render levels, especially Medium if you have an older computer. "Low" is almost never the highest FPS option.

Hello Survivors!

Today's update comes with the following changes:
  • Added missing icon to the Black Stone Stronghold Recipe in the Steam Inventory
  • Reduced Snare Trap Damage
  • Server memory management improvements
  • Fixed an issue causing player stamina to decrease slower than intended
  • Fixed an issue causing Beehives to produce more honey than intended
  • Fixed an issue causing melee weapons to lock up and not function when the player sprints while in passive stance
  • Updated anti-cheat countermeasures
  • Known Issue: If a bee hive is stuck at a single honey produced, you'll need to pick it up and place it again to unstick it. This only affects some bee hives that were full prior to this update.

In addition, below is the list of all the items in the Flashback Crate - Black, which went live today. It will be available until 10:30 AM PST on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018. Check back next week for the next Flashback Crate!

Just Survive - OneLetter

Hello Survivors!

Just Survive has been updated, and a character and server wipe performed.

This update includes new server rulesets, including the following:
  • “Clan Wars” – reduced zombie population PVP
  • “Solo PVP” – all grouping / sharing mechanisms disabled to encourage solo play
  • “Hardcore PVP” – increased zombie spawns and decreased loot spawns for a hardcore survival experience
  • “Sandbox PVP” – PVP without the POI build restrictions – if you’ve ever wanted to build a base in the middle of Pleasant Valley, now is your chance!
  • “Hardcore PVE” – increased zombie spawns and decreased loot spawns for a hardcore survival experience without PVP combat / raiding
  • “PvPvE” – PVP servers without Raiding
Look for these rulesets in the updated server browser!

In addition to rulesets, this update includes significant changes to construction, loot, and NPCs.
  • In PVP, we’ve reduced the number of foundations a player can build, but allow clan members to snap their foundations together.
  • We’ve streamlined a lot of the loot in the game to reduce the clutter of objects that had different names but the same gameplay function
  • We’ve completely rebuilt our NPCs for performance and behavior improvements, and they now spawn based on world location rather than near players.  You’ll find more zombies in town centers, and you’ll find wildlife running away from gunfights.

For the fashionable survivor, we’ve added new Trade-Up exclusive items to Just Survive, read more about them right here.

We’ve also added the new Reload Crate, available in the marketplace.

As a thank you to our dedicated fans, players will receive a last chance Avalanche Crate after 30 minutes of play, and a new Reload Crate after 4 hours of play (tracked over multiple sessions).

Today’s update includes the following changes:
  • Doors, Gates, and Shutters now count towards the architecture limit
  • Lowered Architecture limit per foundation from 500 to 450
  • Players can snap foundations to their clan's foundations, up to a limit of 4 foundations in one location
  • Players can only build a single foundation on a PVP server (Players can still build 4 foundations on a PVE server)
  • Deleting your character no longer abandons your foundation
  • Foundation claiming removed
  • Foundations despawn after an hour if no socketable base components (Walls, Gateways, Doorways, etc) have been placed
  • Bases despawn after 7 days if they have not been visited by anyone from their permissions list
  • Container Storage Capacity increased 4x
  • Crop limits reduced to 25% of previous limit
  • Crops now provide 4x the amount of items when harvested
  • Fixed an issue with Crop growth / fertilization - crops grow over 48 hours or 16 hours if fertilized
  • Base placement limits between foundations increased
  • Shacks now ignore these limits and can be placed much closer to bases (allowing for easier shack placement than before)
  • Reduced foundation snap distance
  • Combined specific meats into generic "Meat", reduced meat recipes down to a single steak, sandwich, and stew
  • Combined berries into a single "Blackberry"
  • Steak/Sandwich/Stew provide "Well Fed" buff which lowers stamina burn
