1. Fix side quest "Captain Bran", now it can be finished and the game doesn’t crash because of it
2. Character optimization
3. Memory optimization
4. Minor fixes of dialogs and cut scenes

Hello everyone, It's been a while!

Today we're eager to introduce you the new Update v1.4, bringing new essential changes. We do hope that it's the final pack of improvements the game gets before the Nintendo Switch announce comes along!

What's new in v.1.4:
  • Three new battle scenes added: Southern Marshes, Deep Mire, Crystal Cave;
  • New apparels for Charlie and Alister. They are available to buy from NPCs;
  • The final optimisation's update: locations and battles load and perform even better than before;
Also added:
  • Detour obstacles system improved;
  • Cut-scenes and dialogues fixes;
  • Achievement "Didn't break a sweat" is now working on the normal difficulty.

Hello everyone!

We keep working on Grimshade, improving the game here and there with each new update.

So, what does the version 1.3 bring us:

  • We've done a huge work optimising the performance on in-game locations and battle scenes. And there will be more.
  • Playing on a high-resolution you should wait for the credits' showing longer than on the lower one. Now it should work correctly.

  • Added new apparels for Kiba, Ruby, Mondoe and Durandell.
  • The Party Manager now show your development progress for Special Skills of each hero.
  • Modified the trading interface.
  • Clavier finally lost his arm. Previously he got two arms no matter what happened with him.
  • Fixed the 'A Man Can Die But Once' achievement
  • Added some tips at 'Read My Lips' quest and improved the navigation.
  • Fixed some Arthu side quests descriptions, misspellings and visual imperfections

Hello everyone!
Today Grimshade was updated to version 1.2. Based on our update's plans and community feedback, this major update features a rebalanced healing system, an improved optimisation and performance and a brand new in-game Glossary. Also, we've redesigned the final boss, Terror Weaver, making the fight more intricate and challenging than it was before. Ready to face it again?

Major improvements:

- Added the Glossary

- Total redesign of final boss: Terror Weaver with his dark retinue became much stronger.

- Increased the number of items obtained from defeated monsters and stashes.

- Redesigned the healing system

  • Medical supplies can heal a single character rather than the whole party.
  • The first use of Supplies on a hero will recover the full health. If this hero has a total amount of HP, Supplies will cure the last Wound.
  • The cost of supplies is 100 gold.
  • Max amount of supplies you can buy from a trader is 10. But you may get an unlimited amount of Supplies obtained from stashes.
  • Now you can use Medical Supplies during the exploration AND the positioning phase of combat.

Minor fixes and improvements:
  • Optimised the performance of battle scenes.
  • Fixed some misspellings here and there.
  • Taught some silent NPCs how to speak. Also, Barkley and Martha are more communicative now.
  • Fixed a repeatable dialogue at 'Hey Pal I Need This Liquid' quest in Southern Marshes.
  • Fixed character's emotions in some dialogues.
  • When a player shifted to another zone, some uncompleted side quests were marked as a completed and didn't have descriptions. Now they got it.
  • While collecting some keys for the fountain at the Arthu's Ruins, players couldn't get any visual confirmation of getting these items. We've added this notice.
  • Fixed a small visual defect of a broken door at the Arthu's Ruins.
  • Minor changes for cutscenes of 'Electricity or Life' quest. Gurin is no longer a skier, sound effects and a gate at the wall work as they should now.
  • Fixed the duration of enchants.
  • Fixed the POI highlight of 'In Plain Sight' quest.
  • Added a highlight for Rupert standing in the middle of Lilipond.
  • Remove the ability to interact with dead Bespierre soldiers.
  • Charlie's second mark costs two resources now.
  • Ruby's skill Catnip doesn't work twice in a row now. Our enemies don't get hooked twice.
  • Durandell can use supplies in a rage.
  • Now Saves should measure the playtime correctly.
  • Fixed a bug with repeatable dialogue while saving Basil and giving the reward at 'Moo'shoe' war' quest.

Hey everyone!
In this update, we've optimised the performance of in-game locations and battle scenes, improved the English localisation and implemented our usual bunch of minor fixes.

Major Fixes:
  • Numerous fixes of spelling and punctuation errors in the English localisation.
  • Optimised performance at Arthu's Ruins and Arthu's Marshes battle scenes.
  • Performance improvements in all locations and battle scenes.

Minor fixes:
  • Added two new tips on loading screens.
  • Minor fixes in descriptions of "On the sacred paths" quest.
  • You can't complete "On the sacred paths" quest multiple times now.
  • Fixed the name and the portrait in a final dialogue between Alister and Ruby.
  • The second and third Disks of Times got the short description.
  • Some of Marsh's mushrooms had mixed-up phrases. Now it should work correctly.
  • Added new dialogue for the "Electricity or life" quest.
  • Added a clue for making the Black Water.
  • Taught Moo'shoe leaders standing at the Kurkan Pit to speak
  • Fixed several NPCs. Those who remain silent can talk now, those who speak simultaneously can talk with you correctly.
  • Add the localisation for Ruby's Invisible status.
  • During the Escape from Brann quest, Lux and Warwaroo dialogues activated on a distance and could give you Medical supplies twice. Now it should work correctly.
  • The second-floor Spicy Wind's chest can change its content depending on a stage of your quest.
  • Changes the final of Moo'shoe war quest. You won't meet Kabba and Stas after the completion.
  • Removed the cutscene at the Abandoned House, which showed you a BooBoos running out the house.
  • During the Devoured attack's, you will meet them on the Upper Brann district AND on the Streets of All Trades.
  • Improved Ruby's location idle.
  • Sillie got a new animation of taking the damage while she is in the knockdown.
  • Some visual improvements on Gukah's shot.
  • Added new Lilypond stub's animations.
  • Took away a surgical saw from Gasan.
  • Private Ponch got a unique appearance.
  • Increase the cost of Charlie's mark.
  • Removed the Umbrage Weald's theme from the first cinematic background.

Hello everyone!
In this late-announced patch, we've set up correctly our difficulty levels, fixed some old issues and brought our usual lots of minor fixes and updates.

Major Fixes:

  • Difficulty levels are adjusted and corrected, bringing you Difficult, Normal and Easy modes. You may explore their descriptions while setting a new profile.
  • Moreover, we've added a checkbox named Iron Man. If you're going to complete the "A man can die but once" achievement, this setting will restart a battle anytime your hero is dead.

  • POI are set on their spots and highlighted in a specific moment.

  • Fixed a bug which turns out the battle music and sometimes triggers the playing a few melodies at one time.
Minor fixes:


  • Reworked the balance of encounters with Devoured. Now it works as it should.
  • Fixed minor issues in Tutorials related to Special skills.
  • Added some descriptions for characters Special skills.
  • Fixed the bug which shows you an incorrect description of Silver Enphimeriscusul quest.
  • Some minor dialogue and localisation issues for the Silver Enphimeriscusul quest.
  • Fixed the bug allowing you to buy some items from Marshes' NPCs for a lower price.
  • Moo'shoes near the Kurkan Pit may talk with you now.
  • Fixed the name of NPC Bluebella.
  • Lilipond's Cutscene about Charlie's youth should work correctly now.
  • You may trade with Gobbak after the Umbrages attack now.
  • Gathering pots of flowers isn't available now until you get the On the sacred paths quest.
  • Some players couldn't get the pie from Bartholomey in Gardener quest. Now it should work correctly.
  • Now you may talk with drunk Sillie during the Welcome to Lilipond quest.
  • Fixed the issue with Moo'Shoes during the Gobbak talk.
  • Fixed the bug which causes the POI blinking.
  • Added notification of unsuitable symbols used while saving the game.
  • More battle scene's optimisations.
  • Some visual changes in Spicy Wind tavern.
  • Multiplie localisation fixes.
  • Various minor sound tweaks.
  • New tips on loading screens.


By popular request from our players, we’ve changed the map of Brann in patch v.1.0.8. Now it is perfectly compliant with locations, so you can easily get the lay of the land. We hope that you will never be lost in the Lower Brann again with it!

By the way, what do you think about the Arthur Marshes map? Should we change it as well, or is it good as it is?

Hi everyone!

Today we patched a blocker that prevented a major cutscene in Brann from finishing properly and made several fixes to the much maligned Silver Enphimeriscusul quest. Along with multiple overall stability fixes and our continued effort to further optimize combat scenes for lower-tier hardware.

Major fixes:
  • Captain Brann Nyquist cutscene should no longer freeze.
  • Changed Brann’s zone map to more closely reflect the structure of individual locations.
  • Fixed Gukah’s dialogue in the Umbrage Weald Camp to properly give rewards.
  • Fixed the game’s final quest objective to reflect the events taking place.
  • Moved Haven from Gobak’s Isle into Gobak’s Hut.
  • Fixed several Point of Interest issues in Brann.
  • Switched all meshes in battle scenes to static mesh mode for optimization purposes.
  • All flower patches in the swamps should now work as intended.
  • Made several changes to Matilda’s and Basil’s dialogue to make all quests associated with these characters to be more stable.
  • Fixed several issues in quest objectives for the Silver Enphimeriscusul quest.
Minor fixes:
  • Added SFX to Charlie’s Mark debuff.
  • Mondoe now always warns about the incomplete “Black Water” quest.
  • More optimizations to Brann’s combat scene.
  • Multiple visual changes and tweaks.
  • Added a “To be continued” line to the game’s credits scroll.
  • Reworked sound for the Umbrage attack on Lilypond.
  • Disabled the ability to heal party during dialogue.
  • Lowered music volume in main menu.
  • Various minor sound tweaks.
  • Removed several instances of duplicated dialogue throughout the game.

Hi everyone!

This patch should, hopefully, stabilize the entirety of the main quest for the majority of players, while at the same time bringing enhancements and better usability for those playing at higher resolutions, along with the usual collection of smaller bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Major fixes:

  • It is now possible to finish Matilda’s part of the Silver Enphimeriscusul quest, after giving Basil the best flowers.
  • Basil will now remove the appropriate amount of flowers from the player’s inventory.
  • All UI elements should now scale correctly for resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080.
  • Major logic fixes to the Bronzeballer quest. It should now work as intended.
  • The final objective in the Bronzeballer quest will now complete when it’s supposed, no longer prematurely ending the quest.
  • Fixed invisible Lambent Mothers in the Fold of Lambent Mothers.
  • Fixed doubling of Medical Supplies upon exiting trade interface.
  • Optimized Point of Interest collection algorithm. The map should now take less time to load.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “You’ve Got Mail” quest from starting properly for some players.
  • It is now no longer possible to expose Nyquist as the traitor before talking to Fluse.
  • Item rollovers should no longer get stuck after exiting combat.
  • Added guards to upper Brann that prevent the player from crossing the bridge to the castle gates.

Minor fixes:

  • The “Wait” button should now work better on smaller resolutions.
  • All Points of Interest will now be correctly highlighted by the Disks quest.
  • Improved cell and character highlights in combat.
  • Warwaru should no longer give infinite medical supplies.
  • Several Point of Interest fixes in Brann.
  • Several sound and fixes and additions.
  • Minor fixes in Brann’s side quests.
  • Fixed several interactive objects in Arthu Marshes.
  • Minor fixes to the final cutscene.
  • Several quest objectives have had their descriptions fixed.

In tonight’s patch, we primarily target the leftover issues that prevent some side-quests from being completed for some users, while improving the stability of the main quest and combat encounters throughout the game.

Major fixes:
  • Made several major logic fixes in the quest Silver Enphimeriscusul. It should now function correctly.
  • Fixed a number of journal entries for the quest Silver Enphimeriscusul.
  • Made several major logic fixes in the quest Gardener. It should now function correctly.
  • Added a slider to the game settings tab that allows players to adjust combat speed.
  • Basil will now complete his quest only if the player has found enough flowers.
  • Fixed invisible Lambent Mothers in the Fold of Lambent Mothers.
  • Etherna now has a separate prefab and should no longer appear in place of other NPC’s.
  • Wilhelm’s skills have been made visible to players.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented combat from progressing if Charlie died while aiming under the effects of “Chaurlinda Special Reserve”.
Minor fixes:
  • Added a second opportunity to receive the “Fire in the Hole!” achievement for players that missed the first one.
  • Fixed a collection of minor issues in the game’s credits screen.
  • Added additional high-quality Enphimeriscucul flowers that can be found, up to a total of 5.
  • Removed fire sound from final cut-scene.
  • Added UI sound for utility crafting.
  • Added sound effects to interactive totems.
  • Fixed several sound issues for the Umbrage.
  • Fixed several interaction objects in “Kurkan’s Pit”
  • Fixed a number of issues in status Descriptions.
  • Performance optimizations for Brann’s combat scene.
  • Added new interactive objects to the Old Mine location.
