It has been silent on the Steam front since the announcement of Grand Chase's closure, however we're back to bring you some (hopefully) good news!

Elsword is opening its doors to all Grand Chase users and giving us a big warm welcome with many exciting events!

For any players who have logged in between 4/3/2014 until 2/22/2015 11:59 PM PST, you will qualify for the events below!

Grand Boost Up!
Have at least 1 or more characters in Grand Chase? Depending on the level of your highest character, you can receive a level jump + 2nd job class in Elsword!

Boost Up!
If you are a veteran who has more than 1 maxed out Grand Chase character, then you're in luck! For every additional Lv 85 you have, you can receive a level jump to 35 + 1st job class. (Up to 5 characters) Or if boosting up a character is not something that interests you then you can receive 150 Link Up Coins that can be redeemed for great rewards!

*Redeeming your boost up rewards will also reward you with additional items such as a Mount, Costume, Pet, and more

There are also quests, titles, and a slew of other items that you can receive just by playing Elsword!

Also, for those of you that have purchased K-Ching in Grand Chase, we haven't forgotten about you. Please read the following announcement posted on the Grand Chase website regarding the details of the compensation.

Dear Steam Chasers,

It is with a heavy heart and remorse, that we bring some bad news to our all of our Grand Chase players.

As of April 15th 2015, Grand Chase will be closing globally.
The servers will be come down on April 15th 2015 at 9:00 PM PDT.

Launching Grand Chase on Steam was a very momentous occasion for all of us at KOG Games. Though not as long as we’d hoped, we’re very proud of all of our players and we’re proud of the time we’ve spent servicing Grand Chase. We are very thankful and humbled for the chance to bring one of the best MMORPG brawlers to Steam.

However, not all news is bad. Though Grand Chase will be closing, we’d like to make sure that even up until our last day together, we have some awesome farewell events and in-game goodies to share.

Free 1,000,000 VP (In-Game Points)
During the maintenance on January 29th, the K-Ching Buy Button was removed to prohibit any further purchase of K-Ching for buying cash items. That being said, we have distributed 1,000,000 VP to be used instead of K-Ching for all Shop and Coordishop purchases. That means all qualified players can use VP just like K-Ching, and buy anything they want. Any account created prior to January 29th 6:00pm PDT will qualify. Players can verify their VP from the in-game K-Ching shop UI.

K-Ching Compensation for those who’ve invested in Grand Chase
We will be providing 100% reimbursement of any K-Ching purchased by Steam players for Grand Chase. All reimbursed K-Ching will be reallocated to your KOG Games account. For example, if from April 2014 to December 2014 you have spent 50,000 K-Ching, it will be reimbursed as 50,000 K-Ching to be used with any other games that KOG Games currently publishes.

Please keep in mind:
- Only purchased K-Ching will qualify for compensation
- K-Ching acquired via events, contests and surveys will not qualify
- K-Ching compensation distribution dates and further details will be announced at a later time

Grand Chase Official Forum Closing

Forums will no longer be accessible after April 17th, please make sure to save all of your information, screenshots, etc. prior to the closing of the forums.

Downloads via Steam are no longer available, however if you have already downloaded the client, you may continue to play the game until the closure.

We do have more events in the works and will announce them as the details become finalized.

Though our time was short, we are honored that we are able to spend our last moments playing Grand Chase together with the Steam community.

It's time for our patch update announcement!
If you've been waiting patiently for your favorite hero to get their 4th bar skills... then wait no further! We've added them all in today!

Here's a peek at some of the skill effects! If you want to see and experience it first hand, then make sure to try them out in Practice Mode!



Also available this week is Ley's Awakening Set called Dark Enchantress. When the set is fully equipped she'll randomly call forth bats to surround her. The set is available with or without a weapon so make sure to choose wisely!



Also, to round out the Halloween season, a Vampire Coordi set has been added to the shop!



I have to say... This coordi set is very fitting on Uno <3

Don't forget! The Spin the Wheel event is going on for 1 more week. Make sure to get your rewards while you can!!

Halloween is almost upon us and we're gearing up for the celebrations!

BUT, before we get to that...



Knight Elesis, Magician Arme, Dancer Amy, Gladiator Sieghart, and Dio have just acquired new 4th Bar skills. If you want to see what they do, then check it out in Practice Mode.

The park has been decorated in a spooky Halloween theme to get you feeling the holiday spirit!



Zombie Attack! (Zombie Appearance Event)

The undead horde has now plagued Aernas and it is up to chasers to bring them down. Hunt down Zombies in the dungeons all around Aernas and grab their Jack O’ Lanterns.

Jack O’ Lanterns contains tons of treats like the Friday the 13th Mask Chest, Halloween Candies, Ellian Accessories and much more. It’s sure to brighten up the Halloween spirit.

Exterminate the Z-Virus

More and more are turning each day and it up to us to bring this outbreak to a halt. Check your mail for the “Exterminate the Z-Virus” mission and receive the coupon to forge the Halloween Chainsaw Accessory to help eradicate the scourge that is gripping us.

Where are all our Zero players at?! For this week, all players who log on will receive an Ultimate Weapon mission for Zero.

Along with the mission, Zero's awakening set, Blazing Zephyr is now available in the Shop!


As with all awakening sets, the Blazing Zephyr also has a special effect! When the full set is equipped, [Effect] Offensive Stance: Trace will show up as a glowing static circle!





Many of you that weren't able to level Uno to 40, will also have noticed that Uno is now locked. To unlock Uno, click on the Blue button to purchase a Character Unlock Key using K-Ching or VP.

What’s Up Chasers!

Harkion’s arrival in Aernas caused a lot of trouble for many people, but now a little known fellow by the name of King Slime is here to stir up some trouble.

Try your chance at defeating King Slime in the new event dungeon, King Slime Land. Keep in mind, that with this dungeon, you’ll benefit more by going in a group!



Devilion's Return
Devilion has returned in an all new encore gacha! Uno's set has also been added so make sure to check it out.



Oh, and make sure to check out the new Random Coordi Chest filled with hat pieces



But of course! That is not all! Uno's Level Up to 40 event has been extended for 1 more week until October 16th 6:00 PM PDT. If you weren't able to level him up before, this is your chance to do it!

We had a big update last night and it's one you've all been waiting for!
Let's get right down to it...

The Story
Many hundreds of years ago, an almost dead Seighart was found by the Highlanders, who then healed him and gave him their powers. Due to a mistake on Seighart’s part, he led Ashtaroth straight towards the Highlander’s hideout…

Though Seighart lived, the rest of the Highlanders were destroyed and Ashtaroth left them, sealed within Kounat. The horror, hatred and despair felt at the moment of their deaths became deeply ingrained into their blood… And over the years their blood began to pool together… and Uno was born.



Being that Uno is a being formed from blood, his thirst for blood is never ending… With considerations on what his potential jobs will be in the future, we have decided to call his first job: Bloodless

Events

Get Uno!

UNO IS FREE! That’s right, FREE. So what’s the catch? During the next 3 weeks, you must level him up to 40! If you achieve level 40 with Uno, you can keep him. If at the end of the event, Uno is only level 39… Then he will be locked away…

Level Up Uno!

For each level milestone achieved Uno will be gifted with many rewards! Some of the potential rewards are 7 Day Timed Crimson Moon Coordi set, Sanguine Blood Dancer (Uno’s weapon that will increase in stats as you level up), Uno’s Cash Skills, Cash Armor Sets and more!

Also, if you can make it up to level 80, a very special coordi set will be rewarded!

What's up Chasers!

A lot of exciting things were patched in tonight. Since there's much content to cover, let's get right into it!


Log in today and receive an Ultimate Weapon mission along with a Maid for Him coordi chest!
With the Ultimate Weapon Chest, you can acquire a special coordi weapon for Rufus, Asin, Zero, Dio or Veigas.

Also, make sure to open the Maid for Him chest to acquire a Maid outfit.. for HIM! We know all the boys have been secretly been wanting to dress like the girls.


Of course we can't forget about the main event! There have been sightings all over Aernas of this mysterious Uno character. He seems to have been through a lot and requires some protection. If you are able to protect him successfully, you'll receive Uno's Tokens. Collect the tokens and they'll be exchanged during the next maintenance for some awesome rewards... like a Shadow Necklace for Uno!!!

That's right! Gone are the days where you had to write all the restrictions in the room name. Now you can normalize stats, prohibit pets and 4th bar skills. You can even restrict certain ranks and those pesky Arme players with their Firebolts!

It's time for a Super Encore Gacha, but this one is a special one! Not only are Sia and Rui back for another round, the all new Aslan has decided to join us too! Check out Aslan and his Liones armor for all it's golden glory.





Lastly, we have some new items updated in the Shop. Level 80 Relic Evil Kaiser set is now available, along with Coordi Bags that will increase the size of your inventory. Also, don't miss out on the limited time sale of the all new Pet Glyphs!

Our passionate fighter and #1 Amy fanboy has received an update!
With this update, he's now a little bit faster and does a lot more damage than before. Many of his skills have also received a visual update.

Also, level up events, missions, and Job Coordi sets have been added too!
*Jin's level up events are also rewarding VP Coupon Random Chests!!!

*VP Coupons can be used to purchase K-Ching(Cash) items in shop



We have a really fun event that just started today! Receive fun rewards have just gotten easier!
-Log in to the game each day to receive SPIN Tokens.
-Play Grand Chase for at least 2 hours a day to receive additional SPIN Tokens.
-Check the event page after 3am the following day to see your SPIN count updated.
-Click on the SPIN button and that's it!

Rewards are distributed to your temporary warehouse (which will appear when you log in).
Select the character that will receive the rewards and move the rewards for that character.



Cordelia is back for an encore! If you missed out on this Seal Breaker Gacha set, make sure you don't miss it this time!
