General Practitioner - dodonovels
Greetings fellow players and doctors!

Recently, I was presented with an engaging opportunity that necessitated a shift in my current life. As such, I had to part ways with Bruni Multimedia and pass on the rights of ownership for all games and their licenses to another entity. Although this decision wasn't easy for me to make, it has opened up many doors of potential success moving forward.

Dodonovels is the new entity which will own all of my games in the future. With the idea of rebranding in mind, I believe now is an ideal moment to create a new name and logo for my games.

Updates and patches for all the games have been delayed a lot for this reason, and I apologize for that. With confidence, I will now take the lead again and you can anticipate more releases and content to come shortly. This is even with a few collaborations from some of the people who responded positively to my request for help that I issued only weeks ago.

What is going to change for the games?
Absolutely nothing, except that bug fixing and new content will be once more made available faster and sooner.

Does this mean you're no longer involved in the projects?
No, I'm still very much involved. The same development and ideas are still at the wheel and will continue to provide support for each game as usual. Something will change especially in General Practitioner 2, and the game will receive more and more content.

Do you still need our help?
Of course I do! Crowdfunding and early access is of fundamental importance for very small indie studios like Dodonovels, and the future success and release of the games depends on how well they're received and supported by the public. Without your help , it would be impossible to make all projects a reality.

Thank you for your trust and support during this transition period. It has been an amazing journey so far and I'm looking forward to what the future holds!

Sincerely,

Andrea

Dear friends,

I am writing to you today to announce that I am looking for contributors, supporters, publishers and more in order to keep providing the best gaming experience I can. As many of you know, 2022 has been a very tough year globally and sales have decreased dramatically, with the Russian market cut off and the German one taking down 18+ games on Steam.

Deep personal issues over the last two years also took their toll, unfortunately.

That being said, I wish to continue creating the best games possible and to keep supporting the projects I have already created.

Unfortunately, I am a one-man show and cannot work as fast as before due to external influences. Your help would be greatly appreciated in order to reach my goal of delivering the very best gaming experience. It doesn't matter how small your contribution is, every little bit helps in achieving this goal!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are currently supporting me on Patreon. You are the ones that make it possible for me to continue creating the games I love and for that, I can’t thank you enough!

I am open to any type of support, including business relationships and investments. Globally both General Practitioner, GP2 and the other games have had quite a success in the last few years, and GP2 has been praised and well received from the community.

Your support will of course be immensely useful, but please note that no game is in danger of being cut down: it might take some more time to release each update, but we're still on the job, and very well focused at it!
You can support the game on Patreon or make a special donation/support on paypal.me/brunimultimedia if you prefer.

Thank you for your time and support! I've being doing this job over the last 5 years thanks to you and no one else!

Sincerely,

ANDREA, your game developer.

Greetings guys!

Today I am announcing you the update of my Patreon page (https://patreon.com/brunimultimedia) with new rewards, new ways to get in touch with me and support my work.

The pandemic hit a huge blow on my business, and personal issues have been harsh as well. But I never gave up and released a few games, with Yomi Alliance being the biggest just after the first General Practitioner (and both are going to receive a new update real soon too!)

With General Practitioner 2 I aim to deliver new story contents, new relationships and new gameplay, with improved graphics and patient interactions. To do that I need your help, either by adding the game to the wishlist, buying the early access game or supporting me on my Patreon page.

You will receive various rewards based on your tiers, or you could choose to support me just because you like my games and what I'm doing with them.

Thank you for your help and support, which is very appreciated. Please share the news so more people can get my games and enjoy them!

Wishing you a happy holiday!

ANDREA

If you're a fan of the original General Practitioner or just looking for an amazing new simulation game to sink your teeth into, then you're going to love what we have in store for you this month. General Practitioner 2 is coming to Steam's Early Access on April 2022 and it promises to be even better than the first!

Early Access will feature three fully featured medical exams, a brand-new relationship system, dozens of HD images, and a complete soundrack. You can also interview and hire your first Nurse, and interact with each of the two brothers separately, choosing every day who you want to play with.

Different brothers also mean different encounters and different medical exams to perform, no day is like any other day in GP2!

GP2 is sure to keep you entertained for hours on end.

Live the life of TWO doctors in this brand-new medical simulated Visual Novel. Andrew and Julie are brothers and MDs and they recently inherited a once-renowned medical clinic from their aunt. Join them in rebuilding the clinic, hiring staff and living their lives.

This time there are two of them!

Choose to live each chapter of the main story from Andrew or Julie's point of view. Different paths mean different stories to unfold, people to meet and consequences to play!

Make them professional, respected doctors or corrupt them down to a path of money, lust or even crime! While a sibling might be a saint, the other one might be the exact opposite! Who knows where you could get them into!

Clinical cases

In the best tradition of the General Practitioner franchise, dozens of clinical cases to explore. Choose the correct way to diagnose an illness with the renewed codex, or do your best to ruin people's lives by giving them a wrong diagnosis. You could also try and get some extra cash by threatening them by exposing some dirty secrets to their family or local police. It's up to you.

Medical accuracy

Written with deep research and the help of a real MD, General Practitioner 2 focuses on medical accuracy. Every medical information you will find in the game is consistent with the actual medical knowledge. Please remember this is a game, however, and if you need medical help you should always ask your doctor to help you.

New gameplay

Hire new staff members and manage the hospital in a new story-based gameplay. No more idle days trying to figure out what to do. The game is a full story and even hiring staff and managing stuff (!) is always story-oriented. No chapter will be like another as you get to know pediatricians, midwives, tech gurus, social media marketers and nurses!

Game over IS possible

Make the wrong choices and the clinic will be shutted off. You will need to balance your bad habits in a way the Medical Board won't open an investigation against you. And if they will... It's up to you to change their mind.

Optional Sexual encounters

You can try to flirt and romance dozens of characters in the game, including coworkers and patients! But beware, not everything is what it looks like!

The game won't be rated 18+ on Steam since Vanilla mode will always be active. Vanilla mode is a feature which disables nudity content. You can apply a free patch to overcome this by downloading it on generalpractitionergame.com once the game releases.

Greetings fellow doctors.

The last few days have seen a new war raging up in Europe, with newsfeeds talking about all the people who are now facing this dark page of human history once more. Also, we don't want to forget every war which is now taking place in so many countries, and the wounds it brings to the civilian population.

I am not a politician, nor an expert of international diplomacy, I am just a humble programmer who gets a living from developing videogames to entertain people. I have my opinions about the current scenario, of course, but I doubt they would interest you.

What I can do, what everyone can do now, is to think about countless children everywhere who are facing fear, starvation and death, and I decided this is a time like any other to do something about it.

That's why 50% of General Practitioner's sales in March, and 100% of the pledges to my Patreon Page https://patreon.com/brunimultimedia for the next month will go to UNICEF to try and ease some of those situations.

I'd like to do even more than that, unfortunately Bruni Multimedia is not a big company, and that's what I can afford to do right now.

It's just a drop in the ocean, but every drop counts. If you already own the game you can pledge on Patreon, or send a donation here: https://www.paypal.me/brunimultimedia

At the end of the month I will send a report of how much has been gathered by this. You can then unsubscribe from Patreon whenever you want, it's easy and with no costs.

Thank you to whoever helps on this.

Greetings fellow doctors!

To celebrate Winter Sales I am glad to announce you that GP has been updated with patch 2.1, which is a full, free, remaster of the game in Ultra HD definition.

When I first started to develop this game in 2017 I was using my home computer, which was not a professional device by any means. That meant I had to choose a resolution which would not have hindered my chances to render dozens of images each month, update after update.

The game was not aging that well, though, since HD-Ready resolution was starting to get a little strange to look at. That's why I decided to remaster the game at a higher, Ultra HD definition (2k).

Of course the game will automatically adapt itself to lower resolutions if your screen doesn't support it.

The images of the game were not re-rendered, of course, as it would've meant redoing the whole game from scratch. However, all have been upscaled using AI technologies which filled the pixel gap in the images.

Some of them benefit more than others, especially the older renders, but I believe the overall visual quality of the game improved a lot. A couple images have been rendered from scratch, and I plan to re-render more of them as you report any issue.

There are more than 6000 images in General Practitioner and although I made sure all of them were upscaled (did I mentioned that the sex videos have been upscaled as well? :D), some of them might have slipped my checks. I apologize in advance, please let me know about that issue if you meet any.

The work also made me redefine the size and coordinates for each interactable item on the examinations screens, menus, and examination reports. That also means that some number might have slipped as well, so please report them as well. Please do remember I'm working on the game alone, and every test I do I make on my own.

Wishing you a merry christmas, now it's the perfect time to buy General Practitioner with the Winter Sales discount! And in Ultra HD!

Greetings fellow doctors!

Today I'm announcing you the new patch for General Practitioner, which will fix more issues with the game and introduce a new 2560x1440 max resolution.

The game is more than 4 years old now, and while a Visual Novel doesn't need 2k or 4k graphic to be enjoyable, that is not the reason why GP is just 1280x720 pixel.

When I started developing this game back in 2017 I had a very limited hardware and relied on sending the images to render to an external website with a very slow internet connection as well! In time I improved my hardware and started developing games in 1920x1080 which is now the standard resolution I use in Yomi Alliance and other games as well.

General Practitioner isn't aging very well in 1280, so I decided to upgrade it a little.

You can see some differences above. The overall look of the game is less grainy and colors are more intense, especially on newer monitors. Some images benefit from that more than others, but the game has been improved throughout.

This doesn't mean I re-rendered all the images in 2k resolution, but it means the older images have been upscaled with an IA to add pixels and preserve the original aspect.

This will also mean that the newest DLCs will get the new resolution right from the start, improving the quality of each release.

I am also planning to re-do some of the very old images and those which definitely need some re-doing, but that will come on a later patch. Of course the user interface has been upscaled as well.

I hope you'll enjoy the new graphic for the game when 2.1 will be out, ideally in a couple weeks.

Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your support!

Greetings fellow doctors.

Since EP has been launched a few hours ago, I met with some vocal disappointment from some of you who are unsure about the pricing of the DLC, which varies over the different countries and it's about 5$ in the U.S.

I remember telling you in the past that the DLC was going to be free, like Teaching Medicine was. Well, that was my intention up until June, however as I kept working on this and as I tried as hard as I could to deliver some quality content (even better than TM was), I realized I had to charge something for it, keeping it as low as I could.

I won't tell you again the reason for this, as I stated in earlier news about the current situation for the games. I am working primarily on Yomi Alliance right now, and other VNs have been published, and a brand new one will be released around Christmas. Keeping doing my job in these difficult times is tough, as for everybody, and I apologize if my communication about this wasn't very straightforward.

Of course, I gain nothing by telling you the DLC is for free and then putting a price tag on it, so it's pretty clear it was just a mistake on my part not announcing a price tag earlier. While I cannot do anything about it, I can only hope you will give EP a chance and play it, as it was made with passion and love for this game.

Your support, the players' support, is the only thing that can make me continue in this line of work, and since I am not a big studio but a single dev, it would be quite suicidal on my part to alienate my fan base over 5$. You know I offered you a refund even when Steam didn't allow for it, I kept updating games that are years old, I am still reading through the forums to fix bugs and stuff but, sometimes, I make mistakes as I'm just human. The mistake wasn't putting a price on the DLC, which I think it's worth the price, but more so not telling about it over the past few days, since I was excited to introduce you with the news about the game itself.

I hope you will give the Doctor, and the game, a chance. I thought about writing this announcement for some time before publishing it, but I thought I owe you an explanation.

That said, I hope you'll enjoy the game.

Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your invaluable feedback, as usual.
