Big news straight from the desert: the New Pretty Characters Update is officially LIVE! 🎉
Yep, it's finally time to say goodbye to some of those, uh... “charmingly outdated” faces passing through your gas station and welcome a fresh new crowd with cleaner models, updated outfits, and more variety than ever before!

These new NPC models don’t just look better – they’re also part of our ongoing quest to optimize the game. Thanks to tech improvements under the hood, we were able to make them both prettier and more efficient.



As we mentioned earlier, this update focuses solely on visuals – the behavior of your customers remains unchanged (yes, they will still honk if you leave them waiting too long). But we promise, they’ll look way better doing it now.



Base game:

• Fixed a bug where the Employee UI was not interactable, as reported by players.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Chinese localization where the timer was missing in the ticket minigame.
  
• Fixed a bug where cars could still have issues leaving parking spots, based on player reports.
  
• Fixed missing sounds on the lottery machine.
  
• Fixed a bug where music would disappear after loading a save during an active sandstorm.
  
• Fixed a bug where the game could freeze during lockpicking, as reported by players.
  
• Fixed a bug where a specific row in the Statistics tab was non-functional.
  
• Fixed a bug where Christmas decorations could appear levitating, based on player reports.
  
• Fixed a bug where the road at the gas station entrance required correction.
  
• Fixed a traffic issue where delivery vehicles could still crash with cars coming from the opposite direction at the gas station entrance, as reported by players.
  
• Fixed a bug where NPCs would stutter on the porch area when entering the gas station building, based on player reports.
  
• Fixed a bug where NPCs could become blocked at the fuel pumps, as reported by players.
  
• Fixed a crash when loading a game on build 31637s, as reported by a players.
  
• Fixed a bug where NPCs could not be removed using the reset button.
  
• Fixed an issue in Arabic where objectives with counters showed improper icons instead of numbers.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Drive-In Cinema where the 12-hour clock did not correctly display the end of display hours.
  
• Fixed an issue where the default graphic quality preset was incorrect, it’s was changed from Notebook to High.
  
• Fixed a bug in the PC UI where the red dot marker did not disappear upon changing the questline.
  
• Fixed a UI bug where some elements in the Key Bindings settings were out of bounds.
  
• Fixed a bug allowing players to drop sand in the Drive-In Cinema zone.
  
• Fixed a bug where cars could still be taken by the UFO during a restart, even if the gas station was empty.

Airstrip:

• Fixed an issue where cleaning the barn too early at the AirStrip could block progress in the questline.

Tidal Wave:

• Fixed a bug where music would stop on Tidal Wave when transferring from Route 66 during an active sandstorm.

Car Junkyard:

• Fixed an exploit in the Junkyard where a single contract could be completed multiple times by pressing Enter.
  
• Fixed an issue in the Junkyard where cars could not be moved from the design spot.

While their behavior will remain the same (they’ll still buy snacks, complain about the dust, and drive off in a huff if you ignore them), they’ll now have a much more detailed and modern appearance.

But this update isn't just about looks - it's also part of our efforts to optimize the game. Thanks to technical improvements and lessons we've learned since launch, we're now able to implement character models that not only look better, but are also more efficient.

It’s all about giving your gas station a bit more visual flair without sacrificing performance.

Thanks to your invaluable feedback and reports, we've managed to track down those pesky issues and come up with an update that should solve most of the issues reported by you. Rest assured, we're still lookin at your comments and our QA team is tracking down the issues you're reporting to us on a daily basis. It’s me again with another exciting development sneak peek. This time we’ll be talking about one of the most anticipated features coming to the Drive-In Cinema DLC. In our last update, we talked about the minigames, events, and we finally have managed to reveal the release date of the DLC. Today, we’re diving into something that we know many of you have been waiting for…Let’s see what that might be 👇




That’s right! We’ve read your countless comments regarding that feature and we obviously couldn’t have let you down. With this DLC, you’re no longer limited to pre-set films – you can now screen your own custom movies at your drive-in – the big screen is all yours to command 🤩However, there are some requirements that you need to obey. First of all, the only file format that is acceptable is .mp4. Second of all, the maximum duration of your custom movie cannot exceed 20 minutes. That’s still quite a long time to watch some of your old school clips on the big screen in the game, right?




To celebrate the release of Gas Station Simulator - Drive-In Cinema DLC, we’ll be hosting a special live stream on March 6th, 2025, at 6 PM CET, where apart from playing the DLC, we’ll be answering your questions regarding the DLC, and anything else that might be bothering you. Now, you might be wondering what I have in store for you today. Worry no more—I’m here to answer! Today, I’ll give you insights into the ticket control mini-game and how the Drive-In Cinema cleaning system will work. Additionally, we’ll dive into the nitty-gritty details of some brand-new events that will enhance your cinema experience. And last but not least, I’m thrilled to finally share the release date with you! 🤩 Excited? Then let’s not waste any more time—let’s roll!




Imagine going to the cinema with a fake ticket—what do you think would happen? You’d probably get kicked out, and your chance to watch that long-awaited movie would slip through your fingers. In the Gas Station Simulator – Drive-In Cinema DLC, you’ll step into the role of a ticket inspector, ensuring that no sneaky moviegoers try to watch films for free.




Just like your gas station and toilets, your Drive-In Cinema needs proper cleaning too! Apart from those pesky customers leaving trash behind, you’ll also sometimes miss your shot at the Dennis dummy, right? At first, it might feel a little tedious—running between your station, toilet, and cinema to keep everything spotless. But don’t worry! As you upgrade your cinema to higher tiers, cleaning will become automated, just like most other systems in this DLC. ⚙️


It wouldn’t be a proper Gas Station Simulator DLC without some exciting events to boost your renown and income, right? Let’s take a look at two new events that will be available alongside the DLC.


As the name suggests, a single hour between 10 AM and 10 PM will be randomly selected. This chosen hour will be visible in the projector screen UI, and if you schedule a movie for this time slot, you’ll gain special benefits—such as increased popcorn prices and faster renown growth.


The Trending event is a special occurrence within the projector, where 1-3 random movies are selected to participate. These movies receive a special tag, making them more visible to you. During the event, ticket prices for these movies increase by 50%, providing a revenue boost.

Important note: All events start at 12 PM and last 24 hours until the next draw.


Yep, you read that right! Soon, your beloved gas station will receive a brand-new, free expansion, bringing you exciting new ways to boost your income and popularity. So, make some popcorn, grab your favorite drinks, wrap yourself in a warm blanket, and mark March 6, 2025, in your calendars!
