As the years have gone by the Dungeons of Kragmor have become populated with all manner of vile creatures, bringing with them magical components that can be used to create artifacts. Summon minions to gather stone and wood, while you rain your fury down on creatures to obtain powerful crafting components. Howdy all, here is a short list of patches written up tonight and installed.

1. Build denial system extended around all spawn points. There is a small chance you will lose something if you stand outside of a spawn area and attempt to build in it that you will lose that item so make sure you are around 30 meters away. You can test the range by standing near the spawn location and trying to place something - the message will stay active until you exit the nobuild area.

2. The Help menu is gone - Help is now tied to the tutorial which you can turn on and off now. If you need to see the original help menu - it is in the lobby.

3. Some server side logging added. :))

4. Something else but Can't remember off the top of my head. If I do remember I'll add it in this slot.

Sorry I didn't get to address the 'e' issue I ran out of time and needed to get this out.

Currently patching server and client. Estimated downtime is unfortunately about an hour. There are some updates that need to be applied to the server as well.

Patch includes the following:
Permanent cloth pants. Yep. No shorts. Actual pants.
The cloth set is in - including cowl.
This concludes the set upgrades.
Stairs fixed. You will now be able to build beyond first level buildings. Please keep in mind that if you intend on building something large - get away from the start locations to do so please and game experience will be better for everyone. If you build near a start point. You could get your base wiped. Consider it a warning - sorry we don't have a better solution for it yet but it will happen.

Modification to crafting progress bar. It's not quite perfect but definitely better than before. One more adjustment and it'll be good.

Player hit box improvement. Dismemberment's still not quite there yet but this is the 'in between stage' towards getting there.

Fix in for the craft container issue. If you still have problems or notice lag (mostly caused by an error that was happening server side that should be fixed with this patch) let me know here on the forums and we'll take a gander at it.

Please note that the 'm' command that previously just showed the map now has some additional things on it. None of those are functional yet but they are aiming at what we envisioned the game before all hell broke loose in early access. We will be working towards that goal.


Campfires now dissolve on server resets to keep the area a bit more cleaned up.

Sorry for the delay on this. There were some changes that went in about the middle of last month.

What's in - March patch
Ragdolling - when you die - your body now falls to the ground fairly similar to rusts deaths. There's no rubber neck (where your head stretches) however and it's fairly realistic. No blood splatters for chopping corpses but when dismemberment goes in that will be done for corpses too so you can chop them up.
NetLoad at start - All construction now loads at start. This reduces problems with lag jumps when running around. There will still be small updates from containers but its easily 4x faster in that area.

What's done but not in yet but will be in about week -
Cloth pants. Yep no more penis hump, and no more boxer shorts. This will also show up on your equipment menu. Upgrade to entire cloth suit finalizing the gear sets.
Character hit detection fix - this fixes what might sound like you're chopping wood when you hit someone. There were colliders put in during previous patch that are used for ragdolling that were getting in the way - that's all good once this next patch comes in. People are still killable it's just easier from the front and back rather than the side.
Addition of some gui elements to the overland map ('m'). This is non functional as of yet but will give a little insight as to what the plans are for territorial goals. May spruce the images up a bit before patch.

Going to look at a possible upgrade to unity 5 the look of the game will be significantly better. Wishing we had unity 5 when we started out! It is excellent.

So, after tons of pain and heartache trying to optimize Forsaken network wise we've come to the realization that there is a specific unity/ulink glitch that has been annihilating our server/lobby side performance. After this fix was applied initial server usage went down approximately 70% on startup and is no longer increasing from the bug. Where one server used 8 to 80 percent of cpu (over time) it is now *zero* while no users are on and is minimally affected by multiple players. This will allow an amazing amount of room to work with.

3 servers are now running on a machine that is 5x less powerful than the previous ones we were using and they are running more smoothly. I'm going to be contacting our network solution provider with a complaint tomorrow as this glitch is by far something that should be emphasized to all purchasers of their product since it costs 750 (almost 8x more than foxcon or photon).

There is the possibility the current switch over caused some item loss but construction should be fine except for Europe (currently our free host providers in Europe are down but I will be trying to get that data to restore to our first of the upcoming 3 europe servers). There will not be any more wipes or item loss until at least the first of March.

Would like to apologize for these problems - a lot of what we've been going through stability and progress wise was based off trying to deal with the server side instability issues. We would be much further along if this problem had been emphasized by our network solution providers when it was purchased.
