Today is the fifth anniversary of the launch of Empire TV on Steam and we wanted to celebrate it with an official announcement, we are making a new game!.

Our new game is Across the Obelisk an immersive story-driven RPG with deckbuilding combat and roguelite elements, singleplayer or coop multiplayer with up to 3 friends.

When we stopped working at Empire TV we took a little break and since then we have always wanted to make another game, we also had Empire TV 2 in our minds, but due to lack of resources and life itself we never got down to work, after all, we are a small team of two people. A year ago we started working seriously on a new project and thus Across the Obelisk was born.

Third year anniversary!

Three years have passed since we released Empire TV on steam, to celebrate this date we give a special discount, grab it while you can and have fun!

Also, halloween event is near but we can guarantee that the halloween discount won't be supperior to this one.

Hey everybody!

We are so glad to announce that thanks to our recent partnership with Kalypso, Empire TV Tycoon is now available in the App Store for all you iPad users.

Bear in mind that the game is only available for iPad (android tablet version will come in the following weeks). We have not released the game for mobile phones because the limited screen size makes the game almost non playable... anyway, we are looking for zoom features and a future phone version may come in a future.

The iPad version is 1.6.2, the same one that we've deployed right now in Steam. This version includes optimization changes (among some fixes here and there) that we had to do in order to port the game to tablets.

Finally, we want to thank all of you who have been working on mods to expand the core of the game. Please remember that mods let you play with the latest tvshows, movies, custom ads, etc!

Hello all, it’s been a year since we released Empire TV Tycoon on Steam and now is time to celebrate!

When we released Empire TV Tycoon back in October 20th of 2015, we already thought that the game was in a very good shape and that’s why we decided to go with a full 1.0 release instead of an Early Access method. Although we are small indie team of two people, we promised to listen to the player suggestions and keep working on improving the game with the community feedback and as many new features as we could.

Here is a small recap of all the improvements and new features that has been added into the game during this last year:
- Doubled the speed of the elevator.
- Added a new Warning Window.
- Added Audience Smiles on the TV.
- Made editable/customizable the text of the scripts.
- Added the Endless Mode.
- Added Channel Specialization.
- Added Audience Bans.
- Added Channel News.
- Added Best Movie Awards.
- Added Mini Series and Long Duration TV Shows.
- Added the Custom Mode.
- Added restoration save points for the savegames.
- Added the Antennas Map.
- Reworked the Ads and game progression systems.
- Added Special Content.
- Added Second Seasons.
- Added the Movie Archive.
- Added Mods and Workshop support.
- Added game compatibility for tablets.
- Translated the game to German, French, Portuguese and Russian.
- Added tons of new movies, ads, actors, quest, events and other game content.
- Added lots of tooltips, help windows and gameplay feedback
- Tweaked and balanced all the game systems.
- Graphically improved and adjusted nearly all windows in the game.
- Fixed lots of bugs and other issues.

Not bad, right? We are very happy on how the year turned out. Currently we are finishing the next patch that will make the game compatible with tablet devices and fix some minor bugs. When the patch is finished we will release the game for IPad and Android Tablets as soon as possible.

When we finish the tablet version we will decide what to do next, we have an interesting idea for a new game that we will like to explore in more detail. As for a sequel, yes we have talked about it and we would really like to make Empire TV 2 at some point in the future, correcting our early mistakes, making it visually more appealing, much more complex and adding multiplayer.

A quick patch to address some issues.

- Added: When purchasing a "movie library" upgrade your maximum movie count increases by 3, total 47 maximum movies with all the upgrades.
- Fixed a bug with the special movie extra money cost not being reduced from your money..
- Fixed a bug with the production assistant passive bonus. that reduced production times, being applied twice in some cases.
- Fixed an issue with ads in the schedule window where viewers numbers were messed up after reaching more than 24m audience.
- Fixed some tv shows where episodes were shown as 0/0.
- Fixed some text translations.
- Added some missed characters for Polish and Chinese fonts
- Readjusted some floating windows for future tablet portability
