Dino D-Day - [8HN] Novgorad
In related news, this weekend also brings us issue #1 of the brand new Dino D-Day digital comic. Let's face it, if you are already a big enough nerd to enjoy a video game about dinosaurs in WW2, you are a big enough nerd to read the origin story in a comic. Embrace your hopeless inner nerd, like we have, and pick up this comic at Dino D-Day's Steam store page.

Because we’re also comic nerds, we’re super excited to have gotten renowned comic creator Tommy Lee Edwards (Google him) to break away from his work with Marvel, DC, etc to design our book and create the layouts. We used the game as a virtual prop house to create the final look over his layouts, which means that the end result is nerd squared! With the comic you also get TLE’s original full-color layouts with a toggle switch that lets you click back and forth on each page.

Operation Genesis tells the story of how Captain Jack Hardgrave and Nigel Blythe-Crossley first met: on a combined allied mission to a mysterious new Nazi installation on the French coast. What is lurking within the damp concrete walls of this base? Chances are, it is something with enormous teeth and rancid breath! Nigel and Hardgrave have to learn to work together and use all their dino-fighting know-how to deal with this new menace. All the thrills, chills, and tongue-in-cheek humor of Dino D-Day the game, but now with story! Spoiler: there’s a new character on the last page. Beautiful? Yes. Deadly? Of course! Help us make issue #2, where she helps busts our heroes out of Nazi captivity, by picking up the comic along with the game!!

But wait, you say, why do Hardgrave and Nigel look different in the comic than they do in the game? The characters depicted in the comic book are derived from new designs created for some planned narrative projects and we wanted to show off the new looks in the comic!

The comic DLC is available on Dino D-Day's product page, and will go straight to your game client. Read it right from your main game menu, or as a high resolution DRM FREE pdf! Excelsior!

The Jurassic-Sized Update

The long awaited graphical update to Dino D-Day fixes some issues that our community has noticed, bugs that were hampering gameplay, brings an entirely new version of the Source engine (Portal 2) to the game, and also brings a huge facelift to characters, animations, environments, weapons, and props. You’ll see some models that have been replaced, and others are completely new. We hope you will enjoy fighting the great dinosaur war all over again inside the newer, better looking, better playing Dino D-Day. Oh, and did we mention it’s free? Check out some additional before and after shots here.

Dino D-Day: Last Stand

The pulse-pounding co-op survival game where you and your friends play through 10 intense waves of snarling Nazi Dinosaurs is out of beta and ready for you to join the team. As you fight, you’ll pick up gold from every kill you make, and can spend it in the new Quartermaster store on upgrades, special abilities, new weapons and animal companions. Our old friend Trigger is there, alongside new addition Vengeance Goat, a goat who--with the help of an allied supplied Tesla coil--serves out revenge on his former masters the old fashioned way: electrocution. If you’ve chosen your friends and your upgrades wisely you might just survive to face the rocket-firing “Red Baron,” a big beast faster and meaner than anything you've faced before. Available now on Steam.

One additional note on both of these game changers: We are actively working on refining the play experience, even after we've launched. We expect to make some tweaks as we receive feedback from players, so let us know what you think! We've had our dedicated team of beta testers working for months now, and we feel like the game plays well and is much better looking. However, we want the input of our entire base to really fine tune Dino D-Day in a way that satisfies both new players and those who have been around for years. We appreciate all of you and hope you enjoy what we've done!

Dino D-Day now has an Open Beta where players who want to check out our upcoming free overhaul of the game, can do so. The Dino D-Day Jurassic Update isn't finished yet - but it is playable and we will continue to take feedback as we polish it to completion.

We invite you to come play with us and let us know what you think of the direction the game is taking. If you have thoughts and ideas we would love to hear them!

You can also purchase the Last Stand DLC now on our main Steam page. This is also a very playable version of the game which will keep getting refined as we get player feedback. It has new dinosaurs, a new Quartermaster upgrade store, new maps, a terrifying boss battle at the end of it, and finally and most importantly: it has a goat out for revenge who shoots lightning from his horns for Freedom.

A Jurassic-Sized Update!

That's right, an update that can only be described as “Jurassic” in that it has taken us approximately 55 million years to complete. But in that 55 million years, incredible change has taken place! Layer after layer, like sediment compacting into mudstone on the floor of a vast alluvial plain 170 million years ago in a time when dino—uh, wait. Sorry. Got lost in a geological metaphor there.

Where were we? Oh yeah, a Jurassic-Sized Update headed to a computer near you! It's been a long time since we've shipped a really great update to Dino D-Day. At long last, we've got one for you...and this one is special! Dare we say...it's our biggest update ever!

For much more information, including news on the free update, the DLC, and FAQ about what we've been doing lately, head over here:
