[UPDATE] Heroes and villains, we're EXTENDING the Open Episodes period through January 31, 2017! Start the new year right and celebrate the sixth anniversary of DCUO by completing some of your favorite storylines!

What are Open Episodes? From November 21 – January 31, 2017, you’ll be able to play through the content in Episodes 1 - 26 with your fellow heroes (or villains!), regardless of if you’re a member or have previously purchased the episode content.

That means that through January, you can experience ALL the storylines in DCUO. Whether there’s something new you wish to discover or an old favorite you want to return to, you’ll have access to the content across almost every episode in DCUO. What mysteries await you in The Bombshells Paradox? Do you have what it takes to battle for earth against Brainiac? Will you take time to chill out in the Icerberg Lounge? There are all sorts of places to explore and iconic characters to match wits with during this Open Episode period!

What about Episode 27: Amazon Fury Part III?
Only Episodes 1-26 are included in Open Episodes. Our newest episode, Episode 27: Amazon Fury Part III, will not be open to all players; you’ll need to be a member or purchase the episode in order to access that content.

What about the loot lockouts?
Members and/or those who have purchased the episode(s) will have the standard loot lockout times. Those who are not members and have not purchased the episode(s) will have longer loot lockout times.

What do I need to access the Episodes?
Episode content requires a minimum combat rating of 43; you must have the minimum CR required by each episode to play the specific episode content. You must have DC Universe Online on PC in order to play the game and access add-on episode content.

 

 

Larfleeze is back! Find and recover the stolen gifts in Metropolis and Gotham City before it's too late! Look for “Yuletide Fear” (Villains) or “Winter Plunderland” (Heroes) in your Mission Journal. Players must be at least level 10 to participate.

Larfleeze’s greed can’t be satisfied so he is taking advantage of a heated battle between the Green Lanterns and the Sinestro Corps. Look for “Ring in the Holidays” in your Mission Journal. Players must complete “Yuletide Fear” or “Winter Plunderland” and “Season’s Greedings” in order to receive the “Ring in the Holidays” Daily Mission. Each day of the event, look for “Season’s Greedings” and “Ring in the Holidays” in your Mission Journal to complete the mission and earn Holly Leaves.









Don’t forget to shop at Skeets’ Workshop to get the latest winter clothing, holiday goodies, and festive base items! Notable new rewards this include actual Candy Cane weapons that auto-level to you, two new penguin base item pets, a Krampus-inspired style set, and base items to makeover any lair into a holiday dreamscape.

To prepare yourself for what lies ahead, we’ve dialed back the Bad Luck Limiter to TWO in order to increase the amount of rare drops you’ll receive.

How does that work? In modern content (where both the Loot Selection Window and Bad Luck Limiter are implemented), if you are not offered a rare drop on either of the first two bosses, you will be on the third. In other words, since modern content has three bosses, you will be sure to get a rare drop from each piece of content that you fully complete.

The event will run from 5:00 AM PST on Friday, November 11, 2016 through 5:00 AM PST on Monday, November 14, 2016.

The gods await you in Amazon Fury Part III. Do not miss your chance to be prepared to face them head on!

Game Update 64 is now available, and it brings with it two potentially terrifying events if you don’t have your wits about you.


The Witching Hour, DCUO’s Fall Seasonal Event, has returned once again! It’s up to you, heroes and villains, to head to the streets of Gotham City and inside the Midnight Masquerade Nightclub and see if you can get a handle on the horrors that are haunting it. Heroes, you’ll look for the Phantom Stranger inside the East End Safehouse; villains, find Tala inside The Tap Room in Burnley. They will have further instructions for you!



Each day of the event, look for The Witching Hour in your Mission Journal; complete the mission and earn Spooky Bites, which can be used in Skeets’ Boo-tique for the latest in scare-wear, tricks, treats, and creepy items for your Base or League Hall. To queue for The Midnight Masquerade, go to your On Duty UI and look under the Events tab. The mission and the event are available to players at or above Level 10.



If you want to stock up on the latest items but don’t have quite enough Spooky Bites, visit the Marketplace! Spooky Bites can now be purchased and then used in game at Skeets’ Boo-tique.

And don’t forget to visit The Vault during The Witching Hour. It’s a bit spookier in there than you’re used to!

You have faced the worst of the universe before, but not like this! With the return of Survival Mode: Oan Sciencells, you’ll be faced with stronger foes and increased challenges. Queue up and see how long you can last against unending waves of the slew of universal criminals threatening to escape. Players can queue up for Survival: Oan Sciencells in the Event tab (if they meet the CR requirement).

With GU64, Survival Mode: Oan Sciencells will feature new Exo Pants and Custom Exo Back for rounds 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10!



Requirements: 8 Players, Minimum CR 173 (175 Recommended).
