Steel your heart and ready your sword – the armies of the damned await in Undead Undertakings, the first major DLC expansion for Crowntakers. We invite you to brave the sinister depths of the Necropolis, where death and decay have left their foul footprints and mortals fear to tread. Battle horrors risen from their graves, including zombies, skeletons and vampires, lead your fellow mercenaries to victory and escape back to sunnier climes.

Hi everybody!

I know we have been kind of quite for the last few weeks since we were busy bringing the game to iOS and Android tablets. But that doesn't mean there is nothing new to come for the Windws/MAC/Linux versions of the game. A few moments ago, we released Patch 1.2 for Crowntakers! Here is the changelog:

General
  • New help / tutorial system
    - WorldMap: A new NPC is at the start of a new game
    - Battle: A help button is available above the end turn button
  • 15 new items
  • 2 new potions
  • New type of runes with special effects
  • 5 new NPC
  • 12 new achievements
  • 20 slots in the inventory instead of 16
  • The map is now revealed during your exploration and doesn't appeared explored at the entrance of the floor anymore.
  • Enhanced map generation algorithm
  • The tavern is now at each floor's entrance
  • There is now a castle on each floor which will challenge the player and offer great rewards
  • Merchants now have specific items to sell
Balancing:
  • Enemies global balancing has been enhanced
  • Scout (Zoe): can only get 1 PA per attack even if she kills 2 or more enemies
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed: Time advances by itself
  • Fixed: Item manipulation
  • Fixed: UI bugs
  • Update: Sound engine

A few of you may notice that there is new stuff added that you cannot yet access. Those things are for something bigger coming soon ... very soon.

Hope you all are fine and gearing up for a great holiday season. The team has been hard at work on a patch for Crowntakers and today we are releasing it. Patch 1.1 brings some substantial changes to the game and we are pretty sure that some of you will be happy about them and some of you maybe wont. Over the holidays, we will collect all the feedback about the patch we can get as we prepare for a big content patch in February. So please if you encounter any problems or have any feedback at all, post it here or send your requests to support@kalypsomedia.com

Below you will find the complete changelog for patch 1.1.

ChangeLog V1.1

Major changes:

General:

• Normal mode is now unlocked by default

Control:

• Battle: the camera can now be moved by placing the mouse on the edges of the screen

Taverns:

• There is no more tavern in the first stage
• Taverns are now placed at the starting point of a stage
• Hiring mercenaries now cost 2 gold instead of 8
• Renting a room in a tavern no longer heal your mercenaries (still cures exhaustion)
• There now is a small icon above a tavern to show that a mercenary can be hired here

Blacksmith:

• There is one blacksmith per floor, randomly positioned
• The blacksmith sells runes only, you have to find craft items by yourself

Worldmap:

• There are now easy and hard battles indicated by special icons above the enemies
• There are less “search buildings” events
• There are more “narrative events”

Exhaust system:

• The exhaust system now has 4 steps of exhaust instead of 5
  • +5% accuracy
  • no malus/bonus
  • -1 strength
  • -2 strength
• Exhaustion is increased with each turn of a battle by 7% in easy mode and 8% in normal mode


Balancing:

General:

• Improved RNG engine
• The hero starts a new game with 5 golds
• The price and heal statistic of healing items have changed
• The positioning of mercenaries at the beginning of a battle is less random
• Battles and buildings loot have changed

Mercenaries:

• Alchemist (Velana): range radius increased by 1
• Alchemist (Velana): attacks can’t be miss or dodge
• Alchemist (Velana): base strength is 2 for all archetype
• Alchemist (Velana): can hit friendly unit
• Assassin (Jeda): archetype 2, skill radius is now 8
• Crossbowman (Meledar): archetype 2 and 3, skill changed
• Standard bearer (Melic): archetype 3, skill cooldown is 1 turn.

Enemies:

• Lieutenant Shear can be hit by ranged units
• Dark Knight stats have changed
• Invisible thieves now become visible before an attack. They can trigger overwatch mode and guard mode

Bug fixes:

• Battle: Fixed a bug where multiple units could be on the same tile.
• Minimap: the chest icon is no longer displayed if there is no chest in the building
• Fixed a bug when a player clicked too fast on “Continue” at the beginning of a new game
• Fixed the attack description of Erus (he can’t attack on melee)
• Achievement: “The accident” was not unlocked in certain circumstances
• Achievement: Fixed a bug with the “The explorer” achievement

- A trash icon will replace the hand icon on the five drop slots to clarify this UI's role.
- A fix concerning the Lord Wolf achievement.
- A fix that avoid your dead crew to level up. :)
- A fix concerning the Use button that appears while trading with a merchant.
- A fix concerning Overwatch and Guard mod animations which sometimes remain active on the battlefield.
- The pad's activation will occur only after pressing a button on it to avoid hand pointer's display when player plays on mouse/keyboard while a pad is plugged.
- Same while pressing a keyboard input to disable the pad.
- A fix concerning a freeze linked with units overwatch.
- Fixed a bug that resulted in the sound and music preferences not saving from game to game
- Fixed a spelling mistake in the french Theogal description.

The next patch (1.1) will focus on balancing and it will feature few cool things. We will tell you more about it soon.
