CPUCores Beta is here!

Many of you have been showing your support for CPUCores ADVANCED, and have been asking relentlessly when you can get your hands on it. I am here to tell you the day has arrived!

We are opening up beta testing for anyone who wants to try it, but we want to be cautious. The new software is still being tested, and we expect bugs. This is normal. We have a system in place to report any bugs you encounter, so the faster you report bugs, the faster we can address them, and patch them in future releases.

F.A.Q.

Q: How do I access the Beta?
A: Head over to our discord, and follow the instructions in the #welcome and #roles channels.

Q: Is space in the Beta limited?
A: For now, we remain open to anyone who wants to opt-in. However, if we feel our Beta users have exceeded capacity, we may suspend new Beta users for a while.

Q: How do I report a bug, suggestion, or issue I find while testing?
A: The bug reporting icon at the bottom left of the app will allow you to send a bug report to the devs.

Q: What is going on with Achievements?
A: Achievements have been semi-disabled, and many of the final achievements are not in the beta version of the software. However, there is a special achievement for participating in the beta. Some or all achievements may break over the course of our testing. We may be disconnecting them and reconnecting them as we test.

Q: What is going on with the DLC?
A: The legacy DLC packages have been removed, and will be retired shortly. The functionality of the DLC will be built into CPUCores ADVANCED and all users will have it.

Q: I don't see a difference between the old CPUCores and the new CPUCores ADVANCED, what gives?
A: This is entirely possible. You may still retain the same benefit from the old software as the new software. This is likely because your hardware or your OS is not further limited than what the standard features of CPUCores offer. This often means that you don't need the extra benefit yet, but remember as hardware ages, and as new technologies are added to games and game engines, the benefit of CPUCores ADVANCED only increases as time goes on, enabling you to use older hardware for longer.

Q: Will I lose my saved settings when switching to the beta?
A: Some settings might not transfer automatically when switching to the beta. Please double-check your settings after opting in.

Q: Can I revert back to the original version if I experience too many issues?
A: Yes, you can opt out of the beta at any time through the Betas tab in the Steam properties of CPUCores.

Q: How stable is the beta version?
A: The beta is under active development and may have stability issues. We recommend making sure any unsaved data in games, applications, or programs is saved before using CPUCores ADVANCED Beta for the first time and be prepared for potential crashes or bugs.

Q: How often will the beta version be updated?
A: We plan to release updates frequently to address reported issues and introduce new features as they are completed.

Q: Will the beta version affect my game performance?
A: Performance may vary during beta testing due to ongoing changes. If you experience significant performance issues, please report them so we can investigate.

Q: Where can I show off my FPS increase or performance gains?
A: Performance gains and FPS increases can be shared on our Discord server under the #show-off channel.

CPUCores :: Maximize Your FPS - Dan
We're thrilled to announce that CPUCores ADVANCED is coming soon! This major upgrade will replace the current version of CPUCores on Steam, offering enhanced performance and compatibility for modern Windows systems.

Stay tuned for more details on the features and improvements we've packed into this comprehensive update. We're eager to elevate your gaming experience to the next level!

We are currently in closed Beta, and with some more critical testing under our belts, we will open up to open beta, inviting the community to download the test version of CPUCores ADVANCED and give us their feedback before the official release.

CPUCores :: Maximize Your FPS - dan

We are happy to finally be able to share some of our newest screenshots with the community and finally have a realistic release date.

Our release has been pushed back many times, mostly due to factors outside our control, but also because we have been working to reduce the footprint of CPUCores ADVANCED and increase its functionality and features.

We were able to pack a bunch more things into CPUCA once we got a hold of Windows 11 and were able to test and tinker with some of the new settings in the OS. Unfortunately, that meant we needed more time to tinker and revisit old code to make sure everything was as clean as it could be.

We have updated our release date to August 31, which as long as no further major delays arise, we should be able to hit.

Please be aware that new features were added for every delay we have had, a better UI was designed, and more OS and CPU settings were discovered that might help more players.

That's our ultimate goal, to Maximize the FPS for as many players as we can.
We look forward to getting CPUCA into players' hands, and we are going to be opening a Beta soon!
