Bullets And More VR - BAM VR - Patrick König
Hey guys,

I just published a tiny update.

  • Changed spawn points for dm_simple, tdm_simple and dm_simple_night
  • Fixed some visual issues in the loadout room
  • Added Grid System to the Editor (press Touchpad down and select "Configure Grid")
  • You can now change rotation values for an asset in the Editor
  • Some other minor fixes

Probably it is not perfect but I think it is still good to have it in the game already. Let me know what you think about it in the current state :)

Hey guys,

finally here goes another update and I hopefully managed to fix all issues that forced me to unpublish Update 12. I'm very sorry about the delay but I hope you can enjoy this update even more now because I also made some more changes. I'm also very sorry about some other issues you guys have been experiencing. I was looking so much into multiplayer that I simply did not test the other stuff in a sufficient way anymore.

This is a rather huge update because I also switched to a new engine version. I hope this also helps with some crashes some of you have been experiencing. But maybe fixing some of the other issues also solved that. Let me know!

Here is a list of the changes:

Multiplayer
  • Got rid of the "Spawn" button and placed a portal instead. Just walk into it and you will spawn. Unlike the Editor portals you will NOT make any sound when you have been teleported to the new location (but could be done as well if you guys would like to see that).
  • Map voting is enabled on all maps now. Demo players will auto-vote for the current map but could change the vote to another map they are allowed to play. If a map wins the vote that is not available for demo players they will be dropped out of the game and will see a message indication that the map is not available in the demo.
  • Added tdm_subway. It was a lot of work to optimize it. I really hope it works fine for you guys. Still might take some minutes for the initial loading because it uses some high quality stuff. :)
  • Added ctf_shi_tpa_town. It features tons of portals and it is nice to finally see them in Multiplayer. This level could be a bit confusing due to all the portals but you will get the idea after playing it a bit.
  • Fixed some terrain issues on the desert map
  • Fixed Voice Detection Threshold
  • Changed the visuals of the loadout room
  • Fixed missing custom loading screen while loading multiplayer levels
  • Attemp to fix weapons on the floor/table of the loadout room that could not be picked up
Editor
  • Fixed game freeze on loading some Workshop levels
  • Fixed Player Spawn not working correctly
  • FIxed Portals not playing sounds
  • Removed distortion effect on portals because they have been way to expensive for the GPU
Endless Breaching
  • Fixed unresponsive doors
  • Fixed performance issues
General
  • Fixed an issue when using Play Space Rotation that the Shotgun became unresponsive most of the times
  • Fixed Multiplayer "Play" Button (it always required pressing it twice)

I really hope everything works correctly and you can ejoy this update. I'm very curious what you think about tdm_subway and how the performance is for you. I really did a lot to optimize it but I probably could do even more. Just let me know.

Hey there,

I published lots of updates in the last days and I just published another update. This update is using some different network functions and dropped the support for all older versions yet again. You really want to make sure that you allow auto-updating for this game because that is important to stay updated :)

Demo users should listen up because I decided to allow you to play two maps now. The maps are ctf_hatfields_n_mccoys and tdm_desert. So you got a Capture The Flag (CTF) and a Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode you can enjoy now.

Beside adding the new CTF game mode I also fixed the scope issues. You really want to give it another try!

I also fixed an issue that maybe caused the game to crash.

Furthermore some more landmarks have been added to the desert map and map voting looks way better now. However it is disabled for the demo maps.

Last but not least two assets have been added to the game. Obviously the Flags required for CTF can be placed now and you also got a portal that can be used to teleport players to new locations. Chances are that you even could create CTF maps that feature multiple flags per team but I did not test it.

We also got a very new trailer on the Steam Store Page that has been created by CaseFace5. Thank you very much!

I also want to thank all of you for the support and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • The multiplayer demo is now featuring tdm_desert instead of tdm_finding_sam (if you want that demo players are able to join you, you need to host tdm_desert because they cannot play tdm_finding_sam anymore!)

  • I changed the inventory location and the underlying system a bit. Tell me if it makes any difference for you.
  • I optimized the scene optimizer because some large scenes (> 1500 assets) managed to break it.
  • I hopefully fixed some door synchronization issues.
  • I reduced some recoil changes that have been introduced in the previous Hotfix 1.

If you are still using the non-steam demo you definitely need to switch now because this version is not compatible to any older versions anymore.
