March has been good to us, and I'm excited to share a bit of what Odisi Games has dropped for Sky Link: Freefire!

Sky Link: Freefire has been moved to Unreal engine version 5.3! There have been a number of challenges with this move though the additional features offered by the newer Unreal Engine are too exciting to pass up. The UI presented a number of issues in the move, and there's more of course in all the fine details below. Thanks for stopping in! Let's get to it.

The most exciting change for me personally is the addition of controller support. We've added a second column to the key bindings for controllers, so you can now assign a single action to 2 separate keys!

The party system has been another action item throughout March. You can now party up with your friends in Sky Link: Freefire! Text chat functionality has been added as well.

VFX
Significantly lowered emissive values on machine gun bullets.



Improved tracer effects for shotgun, rifle and machinegun.



Improved look to spark-related emitter components for muzzle flashes and blackbox explosions.



Fixed 'wind-streaks' for all upward-booster effects.



SFX

Adjusted explosion sound effects to reduce low frequency lingering resonances.
Missile sounds are now created at the exact location of the explosion.
Proximity mine sound effects are now created at the exact location of the mine.
Bot damage sound effects have had a lot of attention for Skirmish mode this month too.

A couple last updates to round out March:
Garage ambiance and garage mechanical arms now do not play on the loading screen.

Game engine updates:
1. Error debugging mode is added to the audio module.
2. The audio module stops the audio interface and no longer adjusts the volume.
3. Item module: Added a record of the last moving position in the game item class.

5. The item module removed the multiple gold coin interface of the item class and changed it to directly obtain the component.
6. The map module transfers control of the variable that the item last moved.

9. The map module removes the interface of updating the last move.
10. The audio module removes the audio enumeration and all the interfaces involved in the enumeration.

13. Added a mobile interface to the coordinate component of the item module.
14. Map module optimization reduces the parameters required for map fine-tuning interface.
15. The map module optimizes the setting process of the map block.
16. Added the interface to reset the main operation items in the item module.
17. The enclosure removes the combinefile interface.
18. Added an interface to enable invincibility mode in the health component of the item module.
19. Added an interface to roll back the last move in the coordinate component of the item module.
20. Player shader added variable indicates the maximum number of lives that can be displayed in a row.
21. The map module removes the interface for setting coordinates.
22. The map module removes the interface for moving the map area.

This patch is meant to fix some pain points found after the GX.games demo release, but is also applicable to the PC version

Patch Notes
- You can now change your resolution to 1920x1080 even if your monitor doesn't support it
- Removed some boss entrance zones that were in annoying locations
- Made the gem collection sound more recognizable and audible
- Reduced game size by removing unused sound files, and compressed the music (This did not reduce the quality of the music, they are uncompressed before playing)
