Why yes we did! Well, two really, within the past year. Just a bit over a week ago we announced our sandbox megasim Streets of Fortuna as part of the PC Gaming Showcase, and we're really loving the response from folks so far. People seem to be vibing with the deep simulation and procedural generation, and our AMA went really well, with some great questions!



And then a bit before that, we also announced another (slightly more Boyfriend Dungeony? maybe?) game we're working on called Loose Leaf, about brewing witchy tea in a tea house for spirits between worlds.



So check that out too, if it piques your interest for more weirdos to befriend. Not that any weapons in Boyfriend Dungeon were weirdos, well okay some were, but that's why we loved them, right?

It's time to gather your party and your dice because Boyfriend Dungeon TTRPG: Life on the Edge is out now with a 10% launch discount! You can buy it as Boyfriend Dungeon DLC with the full rulebook, a mini-RPG book for shorter sessions and character sheets for every weapon type. Watch the mini-trailer on Youtube:




The game's ruleset is based on the Powered by Apocalypse system meaning all you will need to play is two D6 dice. The characters you create are weapons who can also be wielders so you will inevitably have to use eachother to battle your way through whatever dunj and fears your characters have. Maybe even dual-wielding!

In your Steam folder for Boyfriend Dungeon (usually, in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Boyfriend Dungeon for windows) you'll discover a folder called TTRPG! Inside are the 3 pdfs. If you're not sure how to browse there, you can easily jump to the folder by right-clicking on the game name in your Library, choosing Properties, then go to the Installed Files submenu and click "Browse".









We would like to thank Maso Perez for coming to us with the idea and adapting the world of sentient, romance-able weapons into TTRPG form. You can follow his work on his tumblr, where I've been told he might start a new webnovel =o

We are excited to announce that Boyfriend Dungeon: Life on the Edge will be releasing on January 18th! (that's this Thursday =o) Life on the Edge is a new way to experience the magic and thrill of sentient weapons in whatever setting and scenario you choose. the game will come with a full rulebook and a mini RPG book for short sessions.

The book itself is also full of original artwork including stuff that never made it into the videogame by Boyfriend Dungeon lead artist, Xin!

In case you missed it, we recently ran a second playtest this past Saturday featuring a bunch of special Kitfox guests: Steven Lumpkin (Riot), Victoria Tran (Innersloth/Kitfox), ThatBronzeGirl (Critical Role) and Tanya X. Short (Kitfox)! You can watch the VOD here on Youtube:



We know we said it was supposed to arrive in December, but after our first full playtest, we had some modifications we wanted to make before releasing it out into the world. We are sorry about the delay but hope that the improvements will make for a better play experience for you all.

Boyfriend Dungeon: Life On the Edge is a tabletop roleplaying game that lets up to 4 players (plus their Master of Ceremonies) explore their inner psyche, confront their fears, and also smooch swords! Hello Sword-Smoochers!

We have a patch that addresses some of the smaller bugs from the Secret Weapons update including some localization errors that prevented non-English speakers from earning achievements.

Version: 1.3.7290:

• The final boss fight now has a new, fully-voiced conversation between your weapon and the antagonist, before the final phase.
  
  
• Jonah, Leah, and Rowan’s birthday gifts will now all show in the apartment.
  
  
• All shops should now always function in all languages, finally allowing non-English speakers to collect all outfits.
  
  
• Hammer’s final date will now make much more sense in German and Portuguese.
  
  
• Various small fixes to dialogue and localization.
  
  In cased you missed it, our last patch fixed the progression issues with Hammer. Please continue to report any bugs or issues on our Known Issues thread!

We are happy to announce that the Boyfriend Dungeon Secret Weapons update is officially out NOW! To those returning to Verona Beach or visiting for the first time: Welcome! Axe, Hammer, Whip and the new Verona College dunj and more await you.



This is a free update and no additional purchase is required to play if you already own Boyfriend Dungeon. You will be able to play the update from your existing save files, but if you wanted to start fresh that's okay too.

Here is the full changelog:

NEW

• Midway through the nightclub dungeon (“La Rosa”), you will receive a text message. Responding to this message can lead you to new characters, weapons, a dungeon, dates, recipes, and more.
  
• To experience this content in an old save file, visit any dungeon or date, and then return to the apartment. You should receive the text message above, from someone named ‘S’.
  
• While exploring Verona Beach (the map “hub” screen), you may find 15 new “encounters” between weapons you’ve befriended.
  
• After receiving a birthday gift from a weapon, you will now see the gift appear in your apartment.
  
• Seven new achievements related to the new content have been added.
  
• This new content is equally compatible with old save files, or with newly started games.

BUGFIXES

• When you die in the dungeon, your weapon will now comment, including voice acting.
  
• When you start a dungeon run, your weapon’s comment voice acting audio will now follow you, as intended.
  
• All of Isaac/Estoc’s comments when starting a new dungeon run now have voice acting.
  
• Various typos and mistakes were fixed in the date text.

OTHER

• To account for the new content, the latter half of the nightclub dungeon (“La Rosa”) may have changed slightly.
  
• The game’s credits now include any new staff members and/or updated titles.
  
• Old “collect them all” achievement requirements have been updated to reflect the new content.

Hello Sword-Smoochers!

It's Alexandra here! We are getting closer to the release of the Secret Weapons Update! The team is working hard at squashing bugs and making the weapon shiny enough for your wielder hands. First, let's talk new dunj:


You might remember Verona College from Boyfriend Dungeon as the school which Sawyer and Olivia take classes. Now it's a full-blown dunj teeming of new monsters, new hangouts and a new fear to conquer! What is it? We can't say, but you might be able to guess based on what you see!



We've also added in some new features that you haven't experienced in the other dunjs. You might have seen the Whip boss fight teased in our latest trailer. Along with some one-on-one time Whip, you'll also encounter special hangouts in the classrooms. Finally, we've included teleporters to some rooms which will be sure to offer a unique challenge when fighting in the dunj.




It wouldn't be a Boyfriend Dungeon update without some new clothes to try on in your apartment! We're adding new hats with special abilities in the dunj (that alien creature on your head seems menacing). And look at that cute cowboy look! You'll be able to find recipes for all the new outfits in the Verona Beach dunj.


We don't want to give everything away, but we would like to reveal one of the new transformation sequences ahead of launch. And we are putting it to a vote!
