An all-new Bloodstained adventure awaits! Dominique may have been defeated, but she is not finished.
After being defeated by Miriam, Dominique falls to Limbo. She seeks to steal Bael's power and escape to the mortal realm where she will have her revenge!

Classic II: Dominique's Curse bring new storyline, a new list of achievements and a whole new adventure to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night!

The game begins with Dominique cast into Limbo, a strange and dangerous realm populated only with demons.

Lost and stripped of her powers, she begins with no items, no skills and no idea where to go. Her only advantage is her thirst for revenge.

Driven by her goal, she must speak to the friendly demons, search Limbo for powerful artifacts, find useful equipment and acquire new skills until she is unstoppable. Only then can she reach Bael, steal his power, and escape back to the mortal realm!


In Limbo, couple of unique areas exists and awaits Dominique.

The Field Areas are wild lands where every demon is dangerous. Dominique must fight her way through these areas to discover new lands, new towns and new dungeons.

Some areas will remain inaccessible until Dominique learns specific skills or has a special item required to proceed.

At the far reaches of the maps are dangerous dungeons that must be safely navigated and its demon lord defeated if Dominique hopes to gain the powers she needs to face Bael.

Towns offer a respite from the dangers of the Field Areas. They are filled with friendly demons, merchants and temples where progress can be saved.

But safety is always fleeting.

When lit under the Dead Moon, even those tame demons become foes.

Limbo is an extensive realm with multiple areas to explore as well as towns and dungeons.

Each level is full of dangerous demons as well as powerful magic and mysterious items that can help Dominique on her journey.

These resources and power-ups can be found in chests or looted from vanquished demons.

Throughout the map, resources that have been collected can be traded with merchants in the towns or groundskeepers in the wilds for useful items such as healing potions, extra lives, waystones and more.

The most powerful magic will be hidden within the dungeons.



The in-game menu is comprised of 3 sections, Player, Item, and Information. You are able to check the Map separately.



The map is Dominique's guide to Limbo. She begins only being able to see her current location.
As Dominique explores new areas, they will appear on the map.

Map icons will show Dominique's location as well as the locations of merchants, groundskeepers and Hunters.

A checkmark will appear when that dungeon is cleared.

The Player screen details the magical abilities and skills that Dominique has acquired throughout her journey.


Conjure shards use Mana Roses that are collected in the world to power their effects. Dominique can only equip one of these effects at a time, though this can be changed at any time in the menu.

Passive shards are always on when they are equipped, but only one can be equipped a time.

Some of these passives are required to access certain areas of the map while others can help in combat or exploration.

Skills are tied to controller / keyboard commands and are available for use as soon as Dominique learns them.


The items page lists all of the individual items that Dominique has acquired such as potions to restore health or magic points.

Ancient artifacts have their own powers such as the ability to change the cycle of the moon, affect Dominique's luck and other effects.

Below the physical items is the count of coins and remains, the currency of merchants and groundskeepers.

In the Information menu, you will be able to gain all the different information gained during the journey.
Conversations with the demons may contain helpful hints you can benefit from.

Each town has its own section, so it is easy to determine if any demons in a specific town have not been met yet.

With the Logaeth Pages section, you can check the information you have discovered.

Collecting as many pages may bring some luck to Dominique's journey.

The Info section also contains the options settings.

We are honored to reveal more details on the new content that is included in update 1.50. The development team has been busy working on the new Versus and Chaos Modes, both of which include online multiplayer play for the first time.



Versus Mode is fast-paced PvP game mode that pits you against another player to see who can survive the longest.

The mode includes local play as well as an online mode that includes the ability to invite a friend directly or challenge a random player.

In local play, the game is played in split-screen with both players occupying their own area on the top or bottom of the screen.

In online play, you see only your own screen as well as a ‘shadow’ version of your opponent.



As play progresses, demons will spawn that you will have to avoid or defeat while collecting various bonuses and souls.

Souls can be spent at the central statue (shop) to upgrade your weapons, armor or items.


How does PVP work?

In addition to arms and armor, you can also spend souls to put your opponent at a disadvantage! Want to temporarily reverse their controls? How about taking away their ability to attack? Because you can see your opponent's shadow, you can choose to buy one at just the right time to have the greatest effect.

Equipment upgrades are first come, first served!



Once you or your opponent make a purchase it will no longer be available to either player. Choose your purchases and timing wisely.

However, items such as traps that give a disadvantage to your opponent do not sell out so, each player can purchase them multiple times.

As play progresses and stronger demons spawn and the shop will restock with new lineup of equipment purchases.

The player who survives the onslaught is the winner!




Chaos Mode is a mode where players enter a series of randomized rooms, each populated with demons. You can enjoy this as co-op (includes online) or singleplayer.

First, you will be thrown into a random room and have to find the exit.

During that time, you will be given a random challenge to accomplish before exiting, such as: Defeat All Enemies, Don't Use a Special Abilities, Do Not Attack Any Enemy, etc.



You will not be penalized if you do not accomplish the challenge but, when you do, you would be able to obtain additional equipment upgrades.

When you safely escape, a randomized boss fight will start.

If you are successful, you will be thrown into the next room with a new challenge, and another Boss fight. The more you repeat, the game becomes more difficult, and great upgrades will be given.

Challenge to see how many rounds you can hold for!

Hello, Bloodstained Fans!

We are excited to present the final Development Roadmap for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night!

Here is what we have planned.




May 16, 2024

8am PDT/4pm BST/5pm CEST/11pm HKT/Midnight May 10 JST



Update 1.5 will contain two new game modes, and one free Cosmetic Pack. Along with this, three Premium DLC Miriam Cosmetic Packs will be available for purchase.

This will be the final update to the game.



Chaos Mode is local or online co-op action that you can play solo, with a friend or be matched with other players on the same system.



Fight through a series of randomized rooms to defeat demons and bosses.

Complete challenges before each boss to get powerful upgrades!

How long will you survive?



VS Mode is a special PVP mode created just for Ritual of the Night.



At the beginning of the match, players will enter a room exclusive to the match battle. Wave after wave of demons will begin to attack both players. When you defeat the demons, you will gain souls. Souls can be spent at the central statue (shop) to upgrade your weapons, armor or items.

You will be able to purchase attacks that will negatively affect your opponent. Fill their room with fog, reverse their controls and more!

The winner is the player that survives the longest.

Versus Mode supports local and online play with friends or matchmaking with other players on the same platform.

Please note that Chaos and Versus Modes do not support cross-platform play.

More details on each game mode will be revealed when they go live.



1.5 also includes three premium (paid) cosmetic packs and one free pack for Miriam that will change her appearance in the game.

Each cosmetic pack has multiple unique clothing items and weapons, each with upgradeable stats. Premium Cosmetic Packs will be available for purchase on each platform's online store.

Equipping a complete set of cosmetic pack items will enable a special stat bar for that specific pack.



Included with 1.5 is a free cosmetic pack for Miriam that will automatically be added to everyone's inventory when it is released.



Premium DLC Cosmetic Pack assets will only download after purchase.



Date To Be Announced



Following the 1.5 update, we will release Classic Mode II, a premium DLC game mode!

It brings the same retro-gameplay as Classic Mode but with a bigger map and its own canon storyline!

Classic Mode 2 assets will only download after purchase.

More information on Classic II will be provided when it is closer to release.

We have an exciting announcement for you today. 

As you may know, we are getting close to the release of update 1.5 for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The update will include Chaos and Vs modes, as well as three new premium (paid) cosmetic packs for Miriam.  



What we have not yet officially announced is that 1.5 will include a free set of special weapons and clothing items for Miriam...the Half-Genie Cosmetic Pack! 

This cosmetic pack includes everything Miriam needs to dress up as Shantae, everyone’s favorite Half-Genie hero! There are also items inspired by her pirate nemesis, Risky Boots!  

The Shantae games follow the plucky Half-Genie heroine as she tries to protect her hometown and Sequin Land from an array of threats and enemies. As Shantae makes her way through the world, she picks up new powers and items that allow her to fight ever-increasing threats...definitely a kindred spirit to Miriam!  

The Half-Genie Cosmetic Pack contains the following items:

While you may choose to equip one or two items, if you equip one of the cosmetic pack items into each of the weapon, body, head and both accessory slots, you’ll be rewarded with a special Half-Genie status bar!  

We are thrilled to be able to bring a taste of the Shantae franchise, created by BOZON and developed by our good friends at Wayforward, into Ritual of the Night! We hope you enjoy the free cosmetic pack!

First, we apologize for the long delay between updates. The development team has been busy working on the new VS and Chaos modes, both of which include online multiplayer play for the first time. This has resulted in some challenges and delays that we that we did not expect, but we continue forward! We are nearing completion of the new content.

We will share more on how Chaos and VS modes work on September 14th.

Until then, we hope this small preview of the new modes and upcoming premium DLC will give you an idea of what is to come!


Finally, we are honored to announce that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has sold two million copies since its launch in June 2019!  


This is due to all the to the support we have received from everyone. We would like to sincerely thank you so much. This entire project has been a labor of love for everyone involved.
