  • Enchantment trigger persists in an area after enchanting
  • You can research research papers in alchemy lab (researchception)

Steam cloud saves have been disabled as they wiped some of your saves clean unfortunately, will look to implement cloud saves differently in the future.

Way forward

The combat balance changes require your feedback. Adding more hp to the player and increasing his movement speed with Physical Conditioning research changes a lot so I'll keep adjusting so the discovered items feel more relevant and monsters don't feel too weak.

Some things that I really wanted in this update did not make the cut. I need some more time to work on them and you can expect them to drop in January. Here's the list:

  • Salazar passive resource gathering after giving him courage
  • More random combat encounters
  • More magical loot from certain enemies
  • More useful items from the trader
  • Further balance of endgame monsters (Guardian and Tasoth mostly)
  • Button to regenerate world

More long term goals:

  • Add a new end game boss creature (the art is done, just misses the AI)
  • Add teleportation spell, and more elemental spells
  • Add mana potions and rebalance spellcasting so it's actually useful

I'll keep working on the game for you, also look at Psilocybe Discord for a big announcement in January.

That's the third update in 8 days since launch and more are coming. Next will add more enchantments and improvements to guidance and smithing minigame like recycling old items. After that we'll concentrate on balancing monsters so all those new weapons and tools don't feel OP.

I've been busy with some of the changes put forward by the community. Here's the changelog:

Unfortunately, last build broke saves, so do the Steam file verification if you get the metadata error. I'm going on a 2 week vacation now, after that i'll focus on adding:
  • More dangers during the night
  • Zoom in/out keys
  • Rebinding keys fix (it's implemented but broken right now so i unplugged it)
  • Rebalancing the early game so you get magic faster
  • Adding UI element to show the time of the day via a solar disc (requires Stellar Chronometry research)
  • Adding new sounds and music that still is not implemented
  • Shift click to move whole stacks of inventory

And many more minor changes.
